James Hewitt has revealed that he has turned down the chance to appear on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity a number of times.

Hewitt didn’t used to be so shy and has previously starred in Celebrity X Factor, The Games on Channel 4 and Channel Five’s Back To Reality.

But Hewitt, now lives a bar in Marbella and told The Daily Telegraph: “They keep asking me to do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! It’s good money – £70,000 they’ve offered – but the club is my priority now.”

He said: “I see no point in being famous unless you are an MP, an artist, actress or a member of the royal family. The is a point to being rich, of course, but I’m happy with who I am. I think I am genuinely a good person and I have analysed myself in depth.”

Newspapers are today reporting that I’m A Celebrity winner, Joe Swash is being chased by the Child Support Agency for payments owed.

Joe’s ex fiance, Emma Sophocleous, says he has never properly supported his eighteeen month old son,

A friend of Sophocleous told The Daily Star: “They’ve been investigating him for several months. It was all going on during his time in the jungle.

“Emma says Joe has never given her proper support to help out with Harry. The CSA have written to him and called him on his mobile several times.”

The former EastEnders actor said in a statement that he has, and always will, support his son.

I’m A Celebrity star, Nicola McLean appears on Richard and Judy’s New Position tonight and tells all about her and Jordan and her complete disdain for fellow campmate David Van Day.

Discussing her appearance on this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, the one time page three stunner admitted: “I’m one of the few people that admits that I did it for work, I did it to generate work and that’s the only reason I did it.”

Following from the reality show, Judy quizzes Nicola about fellow pin-up Jordon: “I get the feeling there is a bit of rivalry between you and Jordan, have you had a bit of a spat or something?” Responding the WAG says: “You know what I went into the jungle thinking that Jordan was an icon, an absolute legend, she’s amazing and I’ve come out and seen that she’s gave me the absolute worst press and it’s just so sad really.”

Bringing up the similarities between Nicola and Jordan, Richard remarks: “You said you celebrated the birthday of them (talking about her breasts)?” Nicola divulges: “Yeh, they were a year old and I was so proud of them, they took me all the way to Australia.”

Elaborating Nicola exclaims about her ever growing assets: “They went from about a C/D, because women fluctuate which is such a nightmare, to an E and then from an E to a G. This is how I teach my son the alphabet!”

Harking back to David Van Day’s appearance on Richard & Judy the previous week, Richard questions Nicole on the flight home, explaining how David had said on the flight that he deliberately moved his seat back onto her as the dinner arrived. Stating this as untrue, Nicola said: “Do you know what, this is exactly it, at least you know I’m telling the truth, he was not sat directly, rubbish, rubbish, rubbish, his agent’s son was sat directly in front of me”

Nicola continued: “I will tell you a funny story about what happened, I put my foot like that on the front of his seat and he started sliding his seat back and my toe got caught, he nearly broke my toe. I started screaming at the top of my voice, you can imagine how dramatic I was….. David panicked and started saying “move your seat, move your seat”, being a nice guy, not that I think he’s nice, but he wouldn’t tell you that would he?”

The topless model, then went on to say of Van Day: “His daughters love me and wanted me to win, such nice kids, I left the airport and gave them all a kiss and a cuddle and he went like, if he was going to embrace me and I thought he is joking me, does he think I like him or something? And I said to him you’ve got very nice kids, now move from me, that’s all I had to say!”

Former Eastenders actor, Joe Swash has revealed that his chosen charity for the £30,000 he raised on this years show will be the Ben Kinsella Trust.

Each time a member of the public voted this years they were charged 50p, from this ITV put 15p in a pot for charities picked by the contestants.

Joe told The Sun: “This campaign means a lot to me.

“I knew Ben and it was terrible what happened to him.

“I hope any money I may have got from people will be able to make a difference.

“Knife crime is getting out of hand.”

I’m A celebrity star, David Van Day has admitted that he went into the jungle with a plan and compared himself to X factor judge, Simon Cowell.

Van Day told The Mirror:

“I directed it all in my head – I plotted it like a Shakespearean character. I’m in the same mould as Simon Cowell, who everyone thinks is Mr Nasty.

“I am like a bite of Marmite… sometimes I leave a bitter taste, sometimes people lap me up. If I’m trodden on, I can be as venomous as any poisonous snake in the jungle.”

Former Eastenders actor, Joe Swash has been crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity 2008.

Joe beat tennis star, Martina Navratilova with Star Trek actor George Takei coming third.

Swash told Ant and Dec: "I can’t believe I’m the last one out of here."

"It’s been an amazing three weeks – it’s been everything, it’s been ups, it’s been downs."

"It was just a lovely experience and I’m definitely coming out a much more mature man than I was when I went in there."

It was the final of I’m A Celebrity and the remaining celebrities had to each take part in a Bushtucker Trial playing for a fully prepared three course meal for their last supper. Joe Swash would be playing for the starter, George Takei for main course and Martina was competing for dessert.

As Joe arrived for his Trial he said to Ant and Dec: ‘I’m really, really nervous about this.’ The presenters congratulated him on reaching the final and he said: ‘I can’t believe it, the only Brit in the final. I’m over the moon, I never thought I’d get this far.’

Told he would be competing for the starter he said: ‘I’m not a starter sort of guy. I’ve got to eat that stuff again and I hate it.’

Ant and Dec wondered why he thought he’d be eating bush tucker and then outlined his trial which was called Danger Down Under. ‘Beneath us lies a pit dug into the rainforest floor, you will step into it and lie on your back, the lid will be closed and you will be in complete darkness. For every two minutes you are able to remain down under, you will earn one star, as you know the Australian jungle is full of surprises and the nocturnal and subterranean life is abundant. Five stars earns you a fully prepared starter for three this evening plus a special beverage plus a special treat.

Joe took his socks off and put them down his trousers to protect Alfie. The pit was opened and Joe stepped in. ‘I’m not happy and I’m not prepared.’  Water was poured into his underground coffin. ‘It’s freezing you could have warmed it up. Oh man there is something on my feet.’ Joe was then joined by rats which ran over his face and body and by eels slithering around his sides. ‘Kids stay at school and get an education or you’ll end up doing things like this!’

Joe stayed the distance and said: ‘It was horrible,’ he declared at the end of it.

Next up was George who was competing for the main course plus treats and beverages. ‘We have a whole host of treats including some signature dishes as well as some interesting new delicacies on today’s Bushtucker deglutition menu. You will be presented with ten dishes, five of them are traditional bush tucker and five are an assortment of your favourite foods,’ said Dec.

The first dish was three live cockroaches or a lasagne. ‘I’m a gourmet so bring the roaches on,’ he said. Putting them into his mouth one by one George said: ‘They tasted quite savoury and delicious, think I prefer them to the lasagne!’

Second serving was two live locusts or Thai curry with rice, declining the curry George put a locust in his mouth and although he complained the legs refused to go down, he said: ‘That was crunchy.’

For another main course, George had to eat a Witchetty grub or burger and chips. ‘Joey would have loved that, can I take it back for him?’ He then picked up one of the wriggling grubs and bit its head off before consuming the rest of it. It squirted over his lips and into his mouth. ‘That was the vilest, when I saw the guts spill out, I thought dear god.’

Having won main courses for the celebrities, George then had the option of winning a beverage for them all but he had to eat a kangaroo penis or drink a glass of champagne.

‘In Argentina I had bull’s gonads which is supposed to be an aphrodisiac.’ Picking up the penis and removing it from the fur he said: ‘cute little thing isn’t it? Do I have to eat the whole thing or can I just eat the foreskin?’ Dec winced as he put it into his mouth and declared it was rubbery. ‘Why are you two laughing at me?’ he asked the cheeky pair. ‘This tastes like calamari!’ Ant said: ‘Next time I have calamari I’ll be thinking of that!’

For a special treat for the celebrities, George was offered but declined the opportunity to feast on a camel’s testicle.  Coughing and spluttering he said: ‘The penis is rebelling or maybe it’s got an erection! I’ve done enough, I now feel quite full, I’ll pass on that last course or I wont eat lunch’.

Competing for desert, Martina found herself in a trial called Fill Your Face. Ant said to her: ‘On the Bush Stage are five containers filled with various creatures and a star. You will be placed in the face helmet and the contents of the containers will be added

Martina barely moved a muscle as fifty grasshoppers were poured over her head and face. ‘Piece of cake so far,’ she said to Ant and Dec. She closed her eyes tight when hundreds of cockroaches and borrowing cockroaches joined her. The insects were going crazy inside her helmet crawling into her ears, nose and down her chest. Stick insects crawled over her followed by huntsman and orb spiders. The last container to win her the fifth star held two snakes which stirred up the cockroaches when put into her helmet.

She withstood all the critters and won the five stars for the final supper. Shaking herself off she jubilantly said to Ant and Dec: ‘I did it! They were biting me and they bit my nose and made me cry.’

Former I’m A Celebrity contestant, Nicola McLean has revealed that she received more than 200 hate messages to her website whilst she was in the jungle camp.

The glamour model, who left the show on Tuesday, told the Daily Star:

"Apparently I was getting 200 hate messages a day sent to my website. And every time I rowed with David on the show, more came in."

"Most were from women who called me a ‘cold, evil b***h. Others wrote ‘cover up, you s**g’ and someone said I was a bully. To be honest it shook me up."

She continued: "I thought I would get loads of ‘girl power’ messages but I didn’t. But I did stay in the jungle til three days before the end so I had masses of support from my real friends and fans."

Former I’m A Celebrity contestant, Simon Webbe has revealed that he intends to marry his long term girlfriend Layla Manoochehri.

Simon told The Sun:

“I’ve been with Layla for four years and I still fancy the pants off her when she walks in the room.

“I’ve never been like that with anyone. So many girls before just wanted me as a stepping stone to something.

“But Layla is so caring. She thinks about me all the time — she’s so supportive.

“I said she could bring a mate to Australia and I’d pay, but she said, ‘No, I want to be there for you.’

“This show has really proved to me how much I care for her. It dawned on me how much I love her. I’d like to think I’d marry her.”

He added: “Layla has been around me a lot longer than most — I’ve known her since Blue did the first album.

“All she’s ever been is supportive of me. If that’s not the qualities of someone you’d want to marry one day then I don’t know what is.”

Former I’m A Celebrity contestant, Nicola McLean has revealed that she wants to get more breats surgery to boost the size of her boobs.

The glamour model has claimed that her 32G boobs don’t "look that big".

"I’ll have another boob job," she told The Sun. "I love them. I’m obsessed with big boobs.

"Mine are quite a big cup size but I don’t think they look that big. We’ll see what the surgeon can squeeze in there."

However, McLean admitted that her boyfriend Tommy Williams isn’t so happy about her plans for more surgery.

“[He] will kill me if I go any bigger," she said.
