Former Dollar singer, David Van Day has left I’m A Celebrity.
Despite being tipped to win the show, David received the lowest amount of public votes and so was forced to leave the jungle show last night.
Speaking to Ant and Dec, Van Day said: "It’s been a real rollercoaster for me. I think my work there was finished. They don’t need me interfering and messing with their minds."
Simon Webbe has become the latest star to leave I’m A Celebrity 2008.
Simon wasn’t surprised to be leaving and told Ant and Dec that he never expected to last so long saying: "I didn’t think I would last this long. It was just nice to actually be a part of it."

Glamour model, Nicola Mclean has been voted out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp.
Nicola got the lowest amount of public votes last night and looked more upset that she was beaten by David Van Day, than by the prospect of returning home. She even whispered some nasty words to him as she left.

She said David had kissed and grabbed her in the pool and he had also revealed his game plan to her – ‘He’s planned to argue, he’s done it all as a plan.’
Former Police Chief Brian Paddick has been booted out of the jungle after spending a night behind bars with all manners of creatures and creepy crawlies!
In his interview with Ant and Dec he revealed why he entered the show:
He said: “For a long time I’ve been doing serious stuff. Thirty years in the police and running for mayor. It’s all bad news that they want me to comment on. So I thought why not come and do something trivial.”
The celebrities were surprised yesterday in the I’m A Celebrity Camp when they received letters of support from their loved ones.
As the camp mates sat eagerly around the fire, David Van Day informed the group that they would all receive a letter and this would be read out by one of their fellow celebrities. First up was David who read a letter to Brian Paddick from his fiancée Petter. David began reading the letter but chose to put on an accent. ‘This means a lot to people, we’ve been here a long time, read it properly,’ snapped Joe. Losing the accent he read ‘I’m proud of everything you’ve done…the way you look after your camp mates proves to the world that I’m the luckiest man alive because I have you.’ On hearing this Brian broke down in tears.
New friends, David Van Day and Nicola McLean headed off to do the I’m A Celebrity celebrity chest yesterday. Arriving at the challenge, they read the laminate. The chest is locked by five padlocks, they had to wash the muddy car to find the number combinations hidden.
Simon Webbe stepped up to do the latest I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial called ‘Last Gasp’ and was escorted to the bridge by Joe Swash and George Takei.
Arriving at the challenge he spotted the water and immediately confessed to hosts, Ant & Dec that he had a fear of water.
‘I don’t swim at all but didn’t want to say anything in camp. This is the whole part of the show, getting over your fears.’ He admitted that he would be doing this for his daughter.
Following days of rows over beds peace came over the I’m A Celebrity camp, even Nicola McLean was willing to give it a go with David Van Day.
‘David’s offered me an olive branch and I took it because I didn’t want to be the cause of tension. If he’s willing to make an effort with me then I will with him. I’m not going to change my mind and love the man but I’ll try and make it as happy as I can.’
Conceited WAG, Carly Zucker has revealed that her time in the I’m A Celebrity jungle was the worst two weeks in her life, made worse by her strange campmates.
Carly told The Mirror: “Timmy is odd. He’s just over the top and eccentric about everything.
She revealed that she did bond with tennis ace Martina Navratilova. “We’re very similar – we don’t talk for the sake of it,” said Carly.
