Alan Titchmarsh slams ‘puerile’ I’m A Celebrity…..Get Me Out Of Here

Alan Titchmarsh has hit out at “puerile” reality TV shows, saying real life is more excited that anything in these series’.

The gardener and chat show star told The Sun that while he has some respect for formats like Strictly Come Dancing, where contestants learn a real skill, he finds I’m A Celebrity and that genre of shows ‘dreary.’

Alan said:

“I think a lot of reality TV is puerile. I mean, Strictly Come Dancing is great – you learn how to dance.

I’m A Celebrity: Shaun Ryder cancels tour dates due to illness

Shaun Ryder has been forced to postpone the remaining planned dates on his UK tour.

The I’m A Celebrity star has fallen ill due to an ongoing thyroid complaint and NME reports that he is too unwell to perform and will reschedule the shows for a later date.

Promoters SJM Concerts said in a statement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regrettably have to postpone the Shaun Ryder tour.

Stacey Solomon and Shaun Ryder opened tonight’s National Television Awards ceremony with an amusing collaboration.

The X Factor star and Happy Monday’s singer were last year’s King and Queen of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity ……Get Me Out Of Here but returned to their roots tonight with an impressive vocal performance…..well Stacey’s was good anyway!

During the ceremony at London’s O2 Arena, Stacey started off the singing with a low key rendition of ‘Feeling Good’. The song then ran into a duet of the Happy Mondays hit ‘Step On’, which Shaun first had a number five hit with in 1990.

Stuart Baggs ‘The Brand’ wants to star in I’m A Celebrity or Dancing On Ice

Stuart Baggs ‘The Brand’ has revealed that he hopes to land a role on another reality TV show.

The former ‘Apprentice’ candidate – who became notorious for his hilarious catchphrases on the BBC One series in 2010 – admitted that since the series aired, he has been inundated with offers from various TV companies and is particularly interested in appearing on next year’s ‘Dancing On Ice’.

He said: “Life is Brand-tastic to be honest. ‘The Apprentice’ has changed my life. I was planning on going back to my business and putting ‘The Apprentice’ to bed. But then production companies started calling and asking whether I’d considered doing any more TV, so we’ll see whether anything takes my fancy.

Stacey Solomon hates watching herself on TV

Stacey Solomon has admitted that she hates to watch herself on TV.

The X Factor star – who won ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ last November – cringes when she watches herself because she can’t control her facial expressions and hasn’t got the “most appealing voice”.

She explained: “I hate seeing myself on TV – I haven’t got the most appealing voice and I don’t have loads of control over my face.”

Stacey Solomon has admitted that she would like to front her own entertainment show.

The mum of one finished in third place on the 2009 series of X Factor and won last year’s I’m A Celebrity crown. Now that her career is on the up, she has revealed that she wants to try her hands at some presenting work later this year.

Jenny Eclair has admitted that she found her experience on ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ very “childish”.

The TV funny woman – who finished in third place behind Stacey Solomon and Shaun Ryder on the ITV1 reality show last year – admitted a lot of the jungle dramas between her and the other contestants were often “just a bit of panto”.

She said: “I refuse to go on an emotional journey. A lot of it was quite childish so you could think, ‘This is just a bit of panto’.

Now that his ex-wife Cheryl Cole seems fully committed to a new man Derek Hough, love rat Ashley has decided to move his new girlfriend into his Surrey mansion.

The Chelsea star has been dating Kayla Collins since she returned from the I’m A Celebrity jungle late last year. Although insiders claimed that their relationship had become strained in recent weeks, because of Ashley’s lingering feelings for X Factor judge Cheryl, it would seem that they are determined to make a go of it and Kayla is now said to be preparing to move into the pair’s former marital home.

I’m A Celebrity: ITV apologise for killing of TAME rat

ITV, bosses have apologised for the killing of a rat during filming for reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity.

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo and Hollyoaks star Stuart Manning have been charged with alleged animal cruelty after they killed, cooked and ate the rat.
