Former model Janice Dickinson livened up the Snake Rock camp last night as she offered to go skinny dipping and then sleep on top of heart throb, J.
As the Snake Rock team – Janice, Gemma, Lynne and J – arrived in camp after their long journey an excited Janice exclaimed: “Wow cool I like it…this is cool.”
But J’s attentions were already focused on the beds which were sodden with water due to the rain.
“Aren’t the f**kin beds a bit wet,” he said.
Ever the gentleman he asked Lynne which bed she wanted.
Janice then joked: “I’ll sleep on top of J.”
J appeared not to react to her suggestion and continued to check out the camp.
But Janice had another idea up her sleeve.
“Let’s go for a skinny dip.”
J then came up with a more sensible idea.
“I’ll get started on the fire.” Read more & comment »

The members of I’m A Celebrity team, Croc Creek were terrified when they heard they would have to bungee jump into their jungle camp yesterday.
The contestants went up in pairs and Anna was particularly terrified after watching Cerys jump from the same helicopter.
She said: “I’m not going to like it, especially when you walk out before you jump. I wish I hadn’t seen someone jump. I wish I’d just done it. I need to just go and do it now.”
As the helicopter and crew prepared for Anna to jump she was crying and breathing deeply. She had to be helped out of the helicopter and guided onto the step, but on the count of three she took the plunge and jumped.
She screamed ‘oh my God’ all the way down and was in tears again when she reached the ground.
As Marc, John and Cerys hugged her she said: “That was horrible, it was so horrible. I can’t stand, my legs are like jelly. It was the most horrible thing, my legs have gone wobbly. Read more & comment »

Malcolm McLaren has revealed why he decided to quit ITV reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here…..because he thinks it’s fake.
He said: “It’s a nonsense to say I quit over a spider.”
“The reality is their jungle is a glorified film set. The whole show is a circus. I was shocked to hear I was never going to be in any danger.”
He told the Daily Star: “The medic, Dr Bob McCarron, told me: ‘Things are so safe, I would send my own kids in to do the show.’ There is nothing bad in there. They’re hoodwinking the public.
“Viewers need to wake up to the fact that the celebrities are just a motley crew in ITV’s horror movie and, basically, I’m no longer interested in the script. I understand its popularity and all about the pantomime torture camp. I had every intention to appear on the show.
“But when the trials are tricks to fool the public about a danger that isn’t there, it proves this show is nothing more than a circus.”
He added: “I think they fix it and they know exactly who is going to win. It’s all set up. They know who’s gonna win and who’s gonna lose.
“In my opinion, it’s totally and utterly fixed. This is not a reality show, it’s a fake one.” Read more & comment »

I already feel sorry for the celebrities on this years I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, they have only arrived in Australia and already they have been told that they will be split into two groups, and one will be one member down, as Malcolm McLaren has pulled out at the last minute.
Ant and Dec dropped a bombshell to the I’m A Celebrity contestants on their very first day when they told them they would be starting the show divided into two camps – competing head to head in the Bushtucker Trials for food.
The news of Malcolm’s departure sparked a row between feisty Janice Dickinson and Lynne Franks who both wanted to go for a showdown with Malcolm to try to persuade him to change his mind.
After Janice, Lynne, Gemma, and J got together they were greeted by Dec who explained that this year the contestants were starting off in separate camps – one called Snake Rock and the other called Croc Creek.
He said: “There was supposed to be five of you in this group. Unfortunately your fifth member, Malcolm McLaren has decided not to join you.” Read more & comment »

Rodney Marsh is a retired footballer who played for Fulham, Queens Park Rangers, Manchester City, the Tampa Bay Rowdies and the England National side. He is now a media broadcaster and a pundit on the game.
Rodney was famously fired from Sky Sports in 2005 for to his outspoken views but he believes that he’s just being honest and will be honest with fellow celebrities in the jungle.
‘If you ask me a question and you don’t want to know the answer, don’t ask me a question. I’ll just tell it like it is. What you get with Rodney Marsh is honesty.
“It’s my point of view. Gerard Houllier, the Liverpool manager, once said ‘it’s not what Rodney says it’s how he says it,’ so I guess that’s how it is.”
Rodney has been training in the gym regularly in preparation for going into the jungle. He’s not afraid of anything physical but he is afraid of spending time with other celebrities; Read more & comment »
November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Lynne Franks
Lynne Franks sees taking part in I’m A Celebrity as a great challenge and says she’s doing it both for herself and other women of her age: “The older woman, that’s who I’m doing it for – me and them,” she confesses.
Lynne is one of the best-known public PR consultants in the world, she’s a commentator on women’s issues and an entrepreneur and author.
She is reputedly the inspiration for Edina in Absolutely Fabulous although she says: “If people think I’m coming on as Edina, well, it was never me in the first place, but there were aspects, there were definitely aspects. I might even say ‘sweetie-darling’ a few times.”
Although she’s lived an incredibly varied and successful life, Lynne says she can’t think of any practical skills she can use in the camp.
“I’m completely impractical. I’ll volunteer to do what I have to do but I’m not the greatest cook in the world. The skills that I’m taking are just more the wisdom of the older woman. I wouldn’t have a clue how to make a fire. Don’t they give matches?“
Although confessing to a lack of practical skills, Lynne did battle against the elements on a trip to the Amazon two years ago. Read more & comment »

On joining the team on I’m A Celebrity, Janice Dickinson describes herself as the world’s first supermodel, whose career now spans television, writing, and running a model agency.
Janice is firmly against any cruelty to animals but says she’s not worried by any of the food trials as she explains: “I’ve been around the world, I’ve eaten monkey brain, I’ve eaten ants, and I’ve eaten creepy crawly things.”
As for being hungry, she says: “I didn’t eat for ten years, so if I don’t have to eat for a month in the jungle, well I’ll probably find some rice or beans or a can of sardines.”
The most adventurous things Janice has done before includes posing on top of a live crocodile for Playboy and doing an underwater shoot with sharks. She describes her skills as skiing, swimming and climbing trees, and says if she was an animal she would be a dolphin.
She decided to take part in I’m a Celebrity because it is a great, entertaining show, and she hopes it will be a great experience, and that she will be able to help many people through the show. Read more & comment »
November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, John Burton Race
John Burton Race has been inadvertently in training for I’m A Celebrity for many years. From an early age he was drawn towards daredevil stunts including jumping off a high diving board at an Olympic sized swimming pool, and has eaten a scorpion in one go.
But despite his taste for adventure, there are aspects of the jungle which he’s not looking forward to such as eating al fresco and sleeping on a hard bunk without the luxury of linen sheets and a big, comfy bed.
John says: “When I was a little boy living in Thailand I used to keep snakes so I’m not frightened of snakes. Spiders I’m alright with, so long as they’re not identifiable black widow ones or tarantulas because they’re hairy, they’re big and they hurt.
“I don’t like scorpions but that’s because when I was a little boy I was stung by one. And when I was very little, according to my mother, I ate one. It tried to bite me and I bashed it and then ate it. I think I was only four or five.
Of his adventures as a child he says: “When I was kid I was living in Thailand, I kept looking at this diving board and it was Olympic size, one of those concrete ones not a springboard, a proper plinth, and I‘ll always remember I kept looking up thinking ‘God I’d like to go up there,’ and my mother said ‘don’t you even think about going up there John’. November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: Anna Ryder Richardson, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Anna Ryder Richardson is convinced that there’s been a mistake and can’t believe she’s actually going into the I’m A Celebrity jungle. “I still can’t quite believe it,” she laughs. “I mean, I’m just this silly little thing that used to paint the odd room. It’s surreal, there must be something I’ve missed, like it’s a massive joke or something.”
Anna’s principal fear is not the trials or challenges but wind. She explains: “I’m a bit worried about having wind. I haven’t ever farted in front of my partner, even my children have asked me if I’ve ever farted. I say no, which is so awful, bringing them up to think that. My poor girls are going to have to grow up hearing ‘uh! You’re the daughters of the woman that farted.’
“And they must have the mics on even when you’re in the dunny, so they’re going to hear everything. And I never go to the loo for a number two when I’m filming. Anyway, I need to get off that subject. Let’s go back to bugs or eating testicles.”
Anna agrees that despite her reservations she would regret not taking up on the opportunity, although insists that this is the only reality show she would ever do. Read more & comment »
November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: Gemma Atkinson, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Jungle beauty Gemma Atkinson may spend time looking gorgeous in the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp, but she has a rather unattractive habit that may irritate her campmates – snoring.
She says: “I’m worried about sleeping on camera - I sleepwalk and talk and I’m a big snorer, so that might be embarrassing. My whole family are bad snorers.
“I have an abnormal sleeping pattern. We had a baby-gate until I was quite an old age at home because I sleep walk and I speak a lot in my sleep. I have very bad dream patterns and twitching eyes and stuff, and it’s something I’ve had since I was a child. I’ve crawled into my wardrobe before and found myself at the top of the stairs. I think it’s because I have so much energy from being so active during the day.
“So I’m just hoping I don’t do anything or, you know, get in bed with anybody when I’m asleep. I’ll maybe go swimming when I’m asleep ‘cos you can do all sorts can’t you? I’ve had it since I was like really young, but it’s something that has stuck with me and I’ve just got to deal with it.
“I’ve mistakenly once nearly had a wee in my wardrobe but I’ve been woken up by one of my friends. But we had had a heavy night drinking so maybe I was still a bit drunk. I’m just crossing my fingers. Read more & comment »
November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: ‘J’ Brown, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
J Brown’s describes himself as an “eternal pessimist” but says he had such a good feeling about being asked to take part in I’m A Celebrity that he started preparing for his jungle adventure a month and a half before he actually signed up for the show.
The former member of boy band Five has been jogging and going to the gym to get fit and he hopes his love of Ray Mears’ TV shows and books will also help him survive the adventure.
J says: “I’ve been doing a bit more running and keeping myself fit for when there are physical tasks to be done. I’d hate to be that person that everyone’s relying on and all I’ve got to do is kind of pull something up the rest of the way and I’m absolutely knackered and I stop us getting our little bit of cake with our rice and beans.”
J is well prepared for the challenge – he’s already bungee-jumped out of a helicopter and been skydiving for a Five DVD.
And he has already spoken to his friend and former band mate Ritchie Neville about his experiences on reality TV show The Farm to get some tips. Read more & comment »

61 year old Malcolm McLaren took some persuading to join I’m a Celebrity, and reveals he’s never seen the show.
“I’ve been talked through it on a number of occasions with one of the producers, who have been clamouring at my gate to persuade me to participate in this show for a number of years, and somehow they’ve managed to lasso me this time. I know not much more than that, other than one of my ex Sex Pistols, Johnny Rotten, was on the show once upon a time. But having said that, I’d say I’m reasonably well oiled in the world of TV shows. I’ve been on them for number of years across all nations.”
When it comes to living in the jungle Malcolm says: “I can only imagine what that’s like in the foliage and the dense jungle and I guess it’s a question of how good I can be at being bad in there in order to sort of keep the whole thing rocking and rolling, as they say.”
He has some concerns about what may lurk in the there. Read more & comment »
November 10th, 2007 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Marc Bannerman
When actor Marc Bannerman was asked to go into the jungle his response was ‘why not’? Why not ditch the mobile, ditch the radio, ditch the music? Ditch the television, ditch everything you know and love and go and live in the jungle.
He reveals that Dean Gaffney’s advice helped him make his mind up about going. “Dean said ‘Just go for it, there will be times when you’re going to be really bored but you’ll really enjoy it.’ I trust his judgement, he’s a shrewd fella. I know he gets a bad press but he’s a clever guy, and if he can live through his fears then so can I God dammit!”
For 34-year-old Marc, the opportunity to spend time with different age groups in the camp is a bonus. “This will be the only time I get time to spend with people older than me in a situation where we’re spending time together all the time.”
Marc was born in Dublin but grew up in North London. Despite his Irish roots he was offered the part as Gianni de Marco in EastEnders in 1997 and stayed in the soap until 2000. Since then he has undertaken a variety of roles including Celebrity Wrestling and Footballer Wives: Extra Time. It was while filming this that he met his current partner, the actress Sarah Matravers.
