Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has been lined up for a cameo appearance on Ugly Betty, according to The Sun.
Susan is said to have been first approached about the show a month ago.
Last night a source close to the star said: “Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen.
“She will definitely play herself.”
The Daily Mail have went live with some great pictures today. The images show Bobby Davro, Tracy Shaw and Gary Lucy rehearsing for this years Dancing On Ice, and I wonder if it is a sign of things to come that only Gary seems to be able to skate without the aid of an expert?
The show will kick off late 2009 or early 2010, so it looks like these guys will have put in plenty of practice by the time their first performance comes around.
Piers Morgan has insisted that Britain’s Got Talent is in no way scripted and that all acts are a complete surprise to the judges.
Morgan told The Futon Critic: “Simon Cowell, the creator of the Got Talent format, he’s absolutely adamant we should never have any warning from the producers about what is going to come on stage in terms of their ability because, you know, sometimes we might get told their name and that’s about it.

JLS have admitted that they look upon singer Lemar as their big brother and said that he offered them career advice during his recent UK tour.
“He really gave us a lot of guidance, a lot of wisdom and showed us the ropes a little bit,” Ortise told PA.
“He was fantastic and he was a big inspiration to us and he’s done so incredibly well in his career. Lemar was like a big brother to us on his tour, you know.”
Piers Morgan has said that Americans will go all out to beat Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent performance in their own American version of the show.
Morgan told The Futon Critic: “The British show got record ratings up 50% because of the Susan Boyle phenomenon. And I have got no doubt that we are going to see significant increases in the ratings of America’s Got Talent this summer.
The gorgeous Donal MacIntyre is all set to release a book about his time on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
The Irish journalist came in second place on this years series and said his new book ‘From Beginner To Bolero’ is a light hearted look at his time on the show.
He said: “It is a kind of light-hearted whimsical diary on my time on the ice – it’s kind of really a travel book more than anything, about my times, while I was training for Dancing On Ice, around the world.”
Susan Boyle has reportedly been lined up to appear on this years X Factor series.
Show bosses are said to want Susan to duet with one of the final acts, which would also mean that she would fill a mentoring spot on the show.
X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary told The Sun: “Who she’s going to duet with – that’s the fun part.”
He added: “She was brilliant. I think finishing second was probably the best thing that could have happened to her.”
Simon Cowell has admitted that the Britain’s Got Talent team could have helped Susan Boyle more during her time on the show.
Simon says that there was a point during the show’s final that he realised Susan had not been at all prepared to lose.
He told The Mirror: “I suddenly realised she didn’t know how to cope with losing. We didn’t handle it well.

Susan shot to fame after an audition and eventually came second on Britain’s Got Talent. She has since had an alleged breakdown due to the press attention.
“If she’s up for it and she is well enough, our feeling is she probably will – absolutely!” Piers told reporters.
“Susan singing live to 25 million Americans? That would be great!” he said, before adding: “She still gets a bit tired sometimes, but she is 48.”
ITV are on the lookout for new hosts for their I’m A Celebrity spin off show this year.
The Sun reports that regular presenters of ITV2’s ‘Get Me Out of Here Now!’, Matt Willis and Emma Griffiths, have stepped down from the show as they are expecting their first baby and don’t want to spend so much time in Australia. Mark Durden Smith has been sacked.
A Get Me Out Of Here Now! spokesman said: “Matt and Emma will be new parents and won’t be going so viewers can expect some exciting new changes.” The show’s UK-based host Mark Durden-Smith, 40, is out of a job as part of the overhaul.
Simon Cowell has credited Susan Boyle as the inspiration to the new X Factor format this year.
This years X Factor auditions will now be filmed in front of a live audience, similar to those of Britain’s Got Talent and Simon says it is all due to the audience reaction received by Susan Boyle.
Cowell told GMTV: “I thought in my mind: ‘What would happen if Susan Boyle, as an example, came on X Factor under the current way we do the auditions?’ Four people sitting behind a desk, no audience, no music, just singing acapella, what would have happened in that environment?
Susan Boyle appeared on Monday night’s Britain’s Got Talent show to a standing ovation from the Glasgow crowd, but her publicist has said that she will need to take more rest breaks if she is to continue with the tour.
Susan took two nights off before the Glasgow gig and her next scheduled appearance is in Newcastle.

“Girls are girls right – they all want to be the centre of attention. I don’t think anyone has ever ended up as best friends. But they don’t hate each other. In fact actually no, I think they like each other now… ish. They’re not going to go on holiday together Ben, but you know, they’ve got to do the job they’re being paid to do – which is judge a talent show. But things have quietened down a bit I think.”
Simon Cowell revealed on GMTV this morning he gave Susan Boyle the option of pulling out of the Britain’s Got Talent final.
Speaking to GMTV’s Ben Shephard, Simon said, “You can’t predict how things are going to escalate and how well that person can cope.”

Simon Cowell has confirmed rumours that X Factor judge Louis Walsh has had his teeth done, in preparation for the new series of the show.
However the procedure hasn’t been quite the success Louis hoped, Simon told GMTV:
“Louis had his teeth done. No, I’m being serious! He went to my dentist, it hasn’t been the success he was hoping because where as I use a white chart, he used a grey chart and I’m being serious his teeth are straight but they are grey!”
