Move aside Leona Lewis and Matt Cardle, as David Wilder has been blowing his own trumpet and claiming that he is one of the most talented people to ever grace the X Factor stage.
The 42 year old singer showed up on last night’s episode of the ITV show and baffled the judges with his enigmatic performance of David Bowie’s Life On Mars. They knew they should hate the rendition from beginning to end, but actually, all four panellists loved the performance and put the quirky hopeful through to the bootcamp round.

Cheryl Cole has reportedly agreed to stay with ITV and has penned a deal with the TV channel worth £1.5 million.
The ‘Promise This’ hitmaker looked set to jump ship and move to the BBC, after Simon Cowell sacked her from the American version of The X Factor earlier this year and she refused to return to the UK series.
However, it has been reported that Cole has now signed a new contract, which will see her fronting a number of different ITV programmes, with the possibility of landing her own chat show.

Another year, another shift about where rules are concerned, but this one seems particularly harsh, even to me!
Every year X Factor bosses like to mix things up a bit, by shifting the goal posts, but usually they seem to do it in a good way, giving rejected people another chance or lifeline, but this time they are not giving people another chance but snatching one away!
35 hopefuls, who had made it through the audition stages and had been selected to go to Bootcamp were dismissed before they even got to sing a note, it has been revealed.

With the audition stages coming to an end, the X Factor judges are starting to get that excited feeling that children get near Christmas, wondering which group they will get to mentor.
In a recent interview Gary Barlow has hinted that he would prefer the boys, as they are the strongest contenders this year, though Dermot O’Leary has been backing the female category.
Brave words from the Take That front man, as previous judges will understand, to state a preference to one group publicly, then get another causes tension before the very first photo shoot.

He passed up on the chance to sign The Spice Girls and it seems that Simon Cowell would also have missed out on the chance to work with Lady Gaga, if she had tried out for The X Factor.
The music mogul has admitted that if the ‘Judas’ hitmaker had tried out for any of his reality TV shows, he probably wouldn’t have put her through to the next round, because he would have found her too weird and wacky.
The music mogul told Life & Style magazine that he would have classed Gaga’s performance as one of the ‘kooky’ auditions and written her off. He said:

Simon Cowell must be rubbing his hands together with glee, because today it has been revealed that two of his very own TV shows have become the most watched in the UK.
Trade journal Broadcast has released the names of the top 30 Saturday TV shows of the last five years and though the BBC can boast to have aired 16 of those hit formats, ITV claim the top two spots with Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor.

ITV bosses have reportedly offered Lady Gaga a whopping £200,000 to star on a new TV show alongside American gossip king perez Hilton.
Executives are said to be desperate to land the quirky ‘Judas’ hitmaker for their new series, ‘Sleeping with Perez’, as they thinks he will explosive TV and are said to be prepared to “break the bank” to secure her appearance.

X Factor’s Cher LLoyd has revealed that when creating her image, the producers let her ‘be who she wanted’ and that ‘they got her’, when making her début album.
The singer, who is set to release her first single, ‘Swagger Jagger’, next week, has always hit a torrent of criticism when it comes to her image and work, told Music Week that she doesn’t mind, because it was all her own doing.
The 17 year old singer explained:
“I told them what I liked and what I didn’t like and they let me be the artist I wanted to be.”

Kelly Rowland has confirmed a UK release for her latest album.
The X Factor Judge and ex Destiny’s child singer has revealed that her album, ‘Here I Am’, in the UK in November.
Discussing the European version, Rowland told That Grape Juice: “I’m actually starting the recording process for the international record – which will be out in November.”

We revealed earlier today that X Factor stars Rebecca Ferguson and Zayn Malik had split and it seems the news has been confirmed by her official spokesperson.
The pair began dating after they finished on the ITV reality TV series, in which Ferguson finished as runner up and Zayn’s boyband One Direction won third place.
