Jade Ewen is trying to raise her profile by stirring up a feud with fiery popstar, Lily Allen.

The former Eurovision singer replaced Keisha Buchanan in the Sugababes earlier this week. In an interview with Metro she has slagged Lily off for slagging people off. Seems a tad hypocritical to me!

Ewen said: “I don’t really like Lily Allen. She’s not that talented and she’s always slagging people off which seems unnecessary.”

Talking about the day she was dropped by Sony, she added: “They pretended to be my friends and then suddenly out of the blue an office assistant called me up and said it was over. I heard nothing more.

“I was so miserable. I tried everything afterwards and worked as a receptionist but I thought there is no way I can do this for the rest of my life. I just knew from being a teenager all I wanted to be was a star.”

Jade Ewen, winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Eurovision competition, looks set to join pop girlband, The Sugababes.

Jade will reportedly be replacing Keisha Buchanan, the last remaining original member of the band, which she formed with Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy..

Donaghy left the group in 2001 to be replaced by Heidi Range. Buena left in 2005, and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah.

On her Twitter, Buchanan says, “Dear Friends I’m sad to say that I am no longer apart of the Sugababes. I’ve had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would. Although it was not my choice to leave, it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life. I have nothing but positive things to say about the girls and I wish them the best of luck.”

Eurovision competitor Jade Ewen has revealed that despite being chosen by the British public, she still feels anonymous in the UK.

“Last week I went to Amsterdam to perform and I basically got mobbed. I was stunned,” she told Celebs On Sunday magazine.

“And when I went to Malta, there was a guy crying his eyes out, screaming and waving a Union Jack around. Afterwards he was like: ‘I’ve been waiting my whole life to meet you, Jade’. His whole life? He can’t have known who I am for more than four weeks, and can only have heard the song on YouTube.”

On the response she has received in the UK, Ewen added: “Most people in this country still don’t know me. It’s like I’m two people – in London I still get on the Tube and no one recognises me, but I go to Barcelona and it turns into a frenzy.”

Jade Ewen has insisted that she will do everything possible to win this years Eurovision Song Contest.

Jade won BBC show ‘Eurovision: Your Country Needs You’ on saturday night and will now go on to represent Britain at this years show.

Jade said: “I’m going to do everything I possibly can. There’s no way I’m going to waste this opportunity now. We’ve got a couple of months, if I did it in a week I’ll do it in a couple of months. I promise you I’ll give you everything.”

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber specially penned the song My Time for the show yesterday he predicted big things for the singer:

“Eurovision was the show that started Abba,” he said, “it started Riverdance and it’s going to start the career of this incredibly talented young woman.”

He went on to say: “I didn’t say that I wouldn’t go to Moscow but what I will say is if she wants me to play the piano for her I’ll be delighted.”

Jade Ewen has won BBC’s Your Country Needs You and so will be representing Great Britain at the Eurovision song contest.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has been a staunch supporter of Jade’s since she entered the competition and was moved to tears earlier this week when he met her parents and heard of her struggle to become a performer.

Jade tiumphed in the public vote against Mark the twins and will go on to sing the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren composition My Time in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow in May.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has revealed that he shed a tear after making home visit to Eurovision hopeful Jade Ewen’s home.

Jade acts as carer to her dad Trevor, who is blind, and mum Carol, who is partially blind and deaf. She worked hard to achieve a scholarship to stage school so she could follow her dreams whilst also helping to care for her two brothers.

Lord Lloyd-Webber told The Sun: “I didn’t realise just where Jade had come from and what a difficult life she’d had. I admit I got rather emotional. It does make you thankful for all you have.”

Jade said: “My parents’ disabilities gave me a lot of drive.”
