The X Factor’s loss could be The Voice’s gain once again it seems.
Jade Richards was rejected by judges on the ITV show a second time this year and has revealed that she has now auditioned for it’s BBC rival instead.
The talented Scottish singer was in the middle of a media storm last year, when she made it as far as judges houses with Kelly Rowland but was dropped in favour of Sophie Habibis, Janet Devlin, Misha B and Amelia Lily. She tried out again in 2012 but at the weekend viewers discovered that despite flawless performances at bootcamp, she had been eliminated by the panel once more.

Jade Richards made her big X Factor comeback tonight, only it was screened on the Xtra Factor.
The Scottish singer was big news in 2011, when she wowed the viewers and the judges alike with her amazing vocal performances but was dropped at judges houses by Kelly Rowland.
The talented vocalist decided to give the ITV series another chance and we only wish her tryout had been shown on the main show, as many Twitter users were complaining about missing her ITV2 appearance.
Speaking before her second attempt earlier this year, Jade told Caroline Flack that she had been ‘gutted’ to be sent hom by Kelly. She explained:

Jade Richards was one of the most popular X Factor contestants after last year’s auditions aired and there was quite a furore when judge Kelly Rowland didn’t choose her for the live shows and rejected her at judges houses in 2011.
Well it’s another year, another opportunity apparently as the Scottish singer decided to try out for the ITV show again and will be shown on this weekend’s show.
Jade tells Caroline Flack:
“I got to Judges Houses last year. I was in Kelly Rowland’s group. When she first said I was going home, I was so gutted. After that I was like right, I just have to get on with it, get started again, get gigging.”

Fans of X Factor will no doubt be pleased to hear that formerly booted – unfairly if you ask me – contestants Jade Richards, Carolynne Poole, Joe Cox, Melanie McCabe and Sian Phillips are all back this year, and so far, they’re flying through!
I’m particularly glad that Carolynne Poole – who recently starred in Emmerdale – is back, because when Louis Walsh ditched her at Judges’ Houses last year, it was one of the biggest travesties in the show’s history!
Likewise Jade Richards who also lost out during Judges’ Houses rounds after Kelly Rowland chose not to take her through to the live shows. That of course outraged viewers at the time, so it’s great news that she’s back this year… Read more & comment »

Anastacia made her big X Factor debut yesterday and it seems she has made a new friend as a result.
The ‘I’m Outta Love’ singer joined Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos when auditions for the ITV show hit Glasgow on Monday morning and instead of the usual female rivalry that we see on the show, she became rather fond of her new gal pal.

Jade wowed audiences at her Glasgow audition last year when she sang Adele’s Someone like you, and impressed judge Kelly Rowland so much that she broke down in tears.

Dermot O’Leary has admitted that he has high hopes for Jade Richards on this year’s series of The X Factor.
The hunky presenter was in Glasgow last weekend, for the 2012 auditions of the ITV show and confessed that he was surprised when the Scottish singer was eliminated at judges houses stage last year.
Jade wowed the audience and the judges at her initial tryout, but was later sent home by Kelly Rowland, who instead opted to choose Janet Devlin, Sophie Habibis, Amelia Lily and Misha B for the live shows.

In Yippee! news today, it’s been reported that Jade Richards has once again auditioned for the show.
You may recall that last year, Jade made a huge impression on the judges and the audience when she auditioned by singing Adele’s hit, Someone Like You.
She even made judge Kelly Rowland weep as she told Jade, “I’ve had that song in my head all day, then you come on and sing it so beautifully…”

Jade Richards has barely stopped gigging since she almost made it to the X Factor live rounds earlier this year and it looks like she’s going to be a busy girl this Christmas too.
While the X Factor winner will be busy promoting their debut single, the former student will be performing in panto at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre.

Jade Richards has revealed that she may return to the X Factor next year.
The Scottish singer made it as far as the judges houses stage of the series last month, but was eliminated at the final stage by her mentor Kelly Rowland, after she opted to take Janet Devlin, Amelia Lily, Misha Bryan and Sophie Habibis to the live shows.
However the experience hasn’t put her off trying out again and though Jade admits she was ‘gutted’ by Kelly’s decision but may return in 2012. She told The Daily Record:
