Stars and celebrities have been reacting to the death of Margaret Thatcher this afternoon.
It was confirmed today that the former Prime Minister has passed away, after a period of severe illness and a stroke and a number of music stars have been paying tribute or tweeting about her passing.

Former X Factor finalist Janet Devlin was – for a while at least – a favourite to win the show when she took part in the 2011 series, however, although it was reported at the time that she’d been signed to RKA Records, fans waited in vain for her album to be released.
It’s not entirely clear what went wrong for Janet, but go wrong it did and last year, she pleaded with fans to help her raise the cash to bring out her debut album by donating money on the PledgeMusic online service.
Entertainmentwise states, “Janet asked X Factor fans to part with anything from £9 to £1,000 in exchange for goodies including a poster or an exclusive show at their home.” Read more & comment »

It seems that not all X Factor judges move on and forget about their favourite contestants once a series of the ITV show ends.
Cher Lloyd may have cried about Cheryl Cole never contacting her after she finished on the reality TV show, however Gary Barlow has proved that he’s a bit more constant than the Girls Aloud star, as he wished Marcus Collins a happy birthday yesterday.

The Belfast born singer songwriter tried out for the new BBC show and wowed new judge Jessie J, when she performed an amazing rendition of her hit single ‘Price Tag.’

In a month where it was announced that both Misha B and Amelia Lily have signed their first ever recording contracts, fans of Janet Devlin have become desperate to know if their favourite X Factor star is about to follow suit.
The Northern Irish singer recently admitted that although offers have been flooding in, from companies wanting to work with her, she wouldn’t be making any decisions about who to go with until after the current X Factor tour. But with only one week to go until the concerts come to an end, the time to make her choice seems to be drawing near.
This week the stunning red head has admitted that she may not sign a deal at all and at the minute, all she wants to do is start recording her own music.

The X Factor stars hit Belfast’s Odyssey Arena tonight, for the first of their Northern Irish concerts.
The group all travelled up from Dublin yesterday and are staying in a Belfast hotel before the gig, all except Northern Irish singer Janet Devlin.
The 17 year old is planning to move to London soon, however in the meantime she’s admitted that she’s been terribly homesick throughout the tour and after the last performance in Dublin, the stunning singer was collected by her mum and brought to her family home in Gortin for some much needed TLC.

Janet Devlin is on the brink of singing her first ever record deal it has been reported.
The 17 year old singer from Northern Ireland shot to fame on The X Factor last year and was an early favourite to win the show until she landed Kelly Rowland as a mentor and ended up singing songs such as Hanson’s MMMBop, which clearly did not suit her style.
The young singer had very little singing experience before The X Factor, only singing in her school, pubs and local talent shows. However she built up a very loyal fan base, and after finishing in fifth place on the ITV show last November it has been reported that several record companies are interested in signing her to their label.

Marcus Collins was elated to be back in his hometown of Liverpool last night, performing for the loyal fans who voted and helped him become last year’s X Factor runner up.
The 24 year old singer is preparing to release his self titled album and debut single ‘Seven Nation Army ‘ and took to the stage in the Echo Arena last night to give an energetic performance for all the supporters who turned out and who he hopes will be buying his music next month.
After the concert and following an amazing crowd reaction to his performance, Marcus tweeted his thanks writing:
