In programme four of This is David Gest, the master of self promotion embarks on his glittering new TV career as a judge on Grease Is The Word, and decides it’s about time he got himself a PA.

David has decided he wants to take the showbiz world by storm, and whilst in the middle of negotiating a lucrative TV contract he’s booked to play a gig at famous London club G.A.Y alongside friend and fellow I’m A Celebrity…Get me out of Here! contestant Jason Donovan.

But although David is a successful music producer, singing isn’t one of his many talents and he’s suffering from stage fright, even during rehearsals.

“How am I going to do this thing tonight?” he panics. “I’m not a singer. I tell you it’s going to be a f**king bitch. Will there be a good reaction to me coming on?”

Notoriously late for everything, David knows he can’t let his friend Jason down and dashes to G.A.Y just in time. Jason says: “David is a wonderful beast, but if he’s not here by 1.30am he’s not coming on”.

A normally tee-total David is so nervous he resorts to a little bit of liquid courage as he waits in the wings for his guest spot.

In a bizarre performance of Jason’s hit single Seal It With Kiss, David forgets the words so makes them up in his own unique style before collapsing on the floor at Jason’s feet to rapturous applause from the audience.

The next day David is very pleased with himself as he’s finally negotiated the contract he wanted to be a judge on Grease Is The Word. Without giving away how much money he’s getting he says: “I can at least go to McDonalds and buy a single cheeseburger with extra pickles.”

Instead of a burger, David celebrates his deal with a trip to the jewellers where he buys a new diamond cross to wear whilst he’s a judge on the show – worth £11,000. But as David is prone to embellish the truth some what he happily tells cameras he’s spending in excess of £75,000 on the necklace and a 40 carat diamond bracelet.

Now David is so in demand, it’s time to get himself organised and get a PA. Trusty minder Imad is currently the only person to help David keep track of his every move, but finds it a little difficult.

“He needs a PA really, really urgently,” says Imad. “At the moment I’m doing it, I try my best but I can’t get up in the morning either!”

It’s fair to say David’s no expert interviewer, asking the applicants where they got their middle names from, or if they play tennis, rather than finding out if they’d be any good as an assistant.

After failing to find a suitable PA, David is late for his first day as a judge on Grease Is The Word. His unconventional judging style is quickly reigned in by producers, and he winds up fellow judge and West End producer David Ian. But the day is still a success for David as he bumps in to the woman of his dreams, and an unlikely romance blossoms…

The search for a Joseph to star in a brand-new production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor™ Dreamcoat continues with the second part of the audition process that finds our 12 Josephs.

Tonight’s show, narrated by Graham Norton, picks up the journey as the final 50 boys enter Joseph school. A team of the best coaches in the business teach them vocals, acting and choreography. Every hopeful is getting the very best in training, which sees some boys unexpectedly blossom, while others can’t quite hack the pace, and, as the drama unfolds, more dreams are made and broken.

The intense, three-day workshop includes a visit from celebrity mentor and previous Joseph, Jason Donovan, who offers his advice on what it takes to get into the role of Joseph, while the panel give the boys nightly progress reports and dreaded overnight homework tasks. Andrew Lloyd Webber is on hand to drop a few bombshells as he realises that turning a completely untrained voice into one that can handle eight shows a week is again going to be harder than he thought. Has he cast his net too wide? Can a complete unknown really be the next Joseph?

The final test is one that will stretch the boys to their limit as Andrew invites them to his castle in Ireland where they have to perform for his friends, family and local people.

It’s decision time for Andrew and the panel, but only 12 boys will make it through the audition process still clinging to their hopes of wearing the Dreamcoat. West End and Broadway star Denise Van Outen, Torchwood leading man John Barrowman, leading theatre producer Bill Kenwright and voice coach Zoe Tyler now have to choose the finalists and it proves trickier than they first thought.

Next week, it’s over to the BBC One audience who, over eight live shows, will decide which young boy will become a superstar and take to the stage – fulfilling their wildest dreams and changing their lives for ever.

Denise Van Outen has revealed to The Sun that she is delighted to be working on BBC reality show, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ with Jason Donovan as she had a massive crush on him during his time in Joseph.

‘I had such a crush on Jason Donovan,’ she told The Sun. ‘I remember seeing him in Joseph when I was about 18 and thinking: “Cor!”

‘So I’m very excited he’ll be on the show as an expert. He’s lovely. I know him from years ago, but I have to say, he’s very happy with his wife and kids.’

The Sun has reported that Jason Donovan and Donny Osmond have joined the crew of BBC One’s new show Any Dream Will Do.

The shows aim is to find a lead for the next London production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Jason Donovan and Donny Osmond should know exactly what to look for as they both played the lead role of Joseph in the stage show in the 1990s.

I am glad to see Jason making a return to our TV screens. I think he was cheated out of the I’m A Celebrity crown, heres hoping this is only the first of many shows!

Fresh from the I’m a Celebrity jungle, Jason Donovan is launching his first UK tour in 15 years.

Jason, who came third on the jungle reality show, returns with comeback concerts in May next year.

The former Neighbours` star`s greatest hits compilation has already been rushed into the shops following his popularity on the jungle show.

The 18 live UK dates, with tickets costing from £22.50, begin in Ipswich and culminate in Birmingham.

David Gest came out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle with a new lifelong friend. And now it seems he wants to help that friend launch a comeback pop career.

David has publicly said that he will “do everything he can” to help his friend get back into the music world.

John Ashby, a close friend of Gest, says, “David struck up a friendship with Jason and it’ll last for years.

“David knows all the right people. He loves to help friends and get them to play in shows he puts on.”

It was a really good touch taking us to the six star hotel to see how the celebrities were enjoying themselves after leaving the jungle, seeing the people who were important to them and best of all, their reaction to ‘real food’. Most of them tucked into the enormous breakfast buffet but Jan Leeming settled for a bowl of fruit before heading for the hotel for a luxury bath and then off with her friend on a shopping spree. VIP treatment all the way.

Spoilt and eccentric David Gest had friends and staff running frantically around his luxurious quarters, throwing out unsuitable pillows, blankets, ordering extra towels and everything had to be laid out ‘just so’.

Scott Henshall was worrying about meeting up with Phina Oruche for round two, expecting more bites and scratches, but was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a hug and a kiss. The paparazzi went wild over both Myleene Klass (whose boyfriend forgot to bring the engagement with him, Myleene had said she would love to get married in the jungle) and Phina, photographing them in various bikinis and glamorous positions.

Faith Brown had to leave the hotel early to return home for her husband’s scheduled hip operation. She said would have loved to stay longer but her husband was her first priority.

The family celebrities were joyously welcomed by the children in their lives, all enjoying the many luxury facilities of the hotel. Lauren Booth radiated happiness at being with her children as did Dean Gaffney.

Matt Willis was a King indeed. King of the jungle and fussed over wherever he went. Although we were all surprised at his winning, as he had not been placed very high by the bookies, he made a great king, excelling in his last trial of bug eating.

Reunited with Toby Anstis, the four musketeers (Jason Donovan, Toby Anstis, David and Matt) were soon romping around boisterously.

We did not see much of Malandra Burrows, but with that gorgeous hunk all over her, can we blame her?

We left the remaining celebrities partying together and eating non stop.

Sad to say, we will just have to wait for the next ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!’ to be able to enjoy jungle life, safely from our chairs in front of the TV with refreshments, in abundance, close at hand. It will be good to see you again in the jungle, Ant and Dec!!!

I can’t believe it! Jason Donavan, he who along with David Gest, was tipped to win the show has finished in third place.

That leaves Matt Willis and Myleene Klass in the final two. I’d quite like to see Myleene win, but I have a feeling that Matt’s teenage supporters may come out in force tonight.

TV bosses saved the best Bushtucker Trials til last for the final three brave celebs.

At stake was the ultimate in jungle dining – a choice of three courses prepared, cooked for them and delivered into camp for them to relish on their final evening together.

But this is I’m A Celebrity… and it was inevitable that there would be a fly in the ointment – all of the remaining celebs would have to endure a trial to win the best in Bushtucker.

Fill Your Face

Jason got up close and personal with cockroaches, rhino beetles, spiders, crickets and a snake for his trial.

He donned a huge glass helmet, first fashioned by Jordan several series ago, and was told that it would fill with all manner of creepy crawlies. For every 30 seconds he endured he’d move a step closer to winning a fully prepared meal for him and his team mates.

With the oversized helmet securely in place cockroaches were the first critters to be poured in. The insects quickly filled half the globe settling just below Jason’s eyes and making it difficult for him to breathe.

He gave the thumbs-up for the next load to be dropped in and rhino beetles joined Jason.

Rocking from foot to foot, locusts were next and 30 seconds later in went the spiders. To cap off the nightmarish claustrophobic experience a carpet python was added to the mix.

When the time was up the helmet was released and a coughing and spluttering Jason emerged, bleeding from scratches to his ear.

Scare-E-Oke

Myleene had to sing for her supper stepping into Antony Costa’s shoes for Scare-e-oke.

Ant and Dec explained that she’d have to step in the special recording booth and belt out five songs word for word to win the second course.

Donning protective goggles before taking her place behind the microphone, the first bars of Robbie Williams rang out and Myleene launched into song as she was gunged with fish guts. She made it to the end of the track and earned her first star.

Cockroaches cascaded down on her during Bee Gee’s hit Tragedy.

“Fabulous,� she muttered at the end.

Wannabe from the Spice Girls was up next…accompanied by white feathers and green ants.

“I think the singing is scarier than the things falling on me,� she admitted.

“I’m feeling quite Christmassy,� Ant told her. “It looks like a snow globe in there.� Star three was in the bag.

Reach For The Stars was up next, and Myleene continued to sing her heart out despite crickets descending on her.

She made it five stars out of five by reaching the end of Britney classic Hit Me Baby One More Time. As she sang the title she was bombarded by meal worms.

Bushtucker Bonanza

It’s without doubt the most feared of all the evil Trials.

This time Matt took his seat at the banqueting table and was presented with some old favourites, and some dishes appearing on the menu for the first time.

As always, the task would be made doubly difficult – he would be offered bushtucker and also tempted with a favourite dish from home.

First up were three mealworms or a beef burger – a dish all of the celebs have been dreaming of for days.

He made short work of the mealworms.

“It’s hideous,� he grimaced. “It tastes like pus; like a boil exploding in your mouth.�

Next up a delicacy – the old favourite witchetty grub.

“He looks a bit lively,� Matt said as he chased the grub across the plate, grabbed it and bit the head off before slurping on the wiggling body.

A pair of crocs eyes waited for him next. The alternative on offer was a bottle of beer. He decided to plump for the peepers and popped them in his mouth.

The penultimate dish saw Matt turn a shade of green – a kangaroo’s anus or a plate of fragrant fish and chips.

As the realisation dawned that he was going for it he uttered: “Oh my God, I’m going to eat an anus. David would be so hugely proud of me. My mates are going to talk about this for so long. I’m not going to be able to live this down.�

He struggled to chew the rubbery tube and had to tear it with his fingers to break it down into smaller pieces.

“It’s the hardest one,� he declared. “It didn’t taste of anything. It’s just that a kangaroo shits out of that.�

Rumours have abounded this series about a new addition to the Bushtucker Bonanza and sure enough it greeted Matt as Dec lifted the lid on…a crocodile’s penis.

Deciding to take the bull by the horns, or more literally the crocodile by the penis, he bit off almost more than he could chew and grimaced throughout as he chomped away and finally swallowed. He’d scored top marks.

There is such a happy atmosphere in the camp and it all ends tomorrow night with the crowning of one of the remaining three celebrities. Jason Donovan who played Joseph in the Technicolor Dream coat, Myleene Klass, British classical pianist and TV Presenter and Matt Willis, who is a bass guitarist and was a member of Busted. the British pop idol group. Dean Gaffney, 11 years with Emmerdale, was the first to leave tonight. followed by, shockingly, David Gest. We hope this was not a repeat of the error made when Toby Anstis left. We had been told to push the red button for the wrong vote. All along David has been in the lead and this morning, on This Morning: I’m a Celebrity TV3 1200, he was lying second to Jason with 27 % of the votes to win, Jason with 30%, Myleene 26% and Matt 9% with Dean at the bottom with 8%. What happened????

There was no excitement over the celebrity chest containing cream scones and tea, as the campers were disheartened by their past failure to get the questions correctly answered. This one, although repeated questions from the past, was no different. They had failed to get the strawberry cream cake, ice cream and many other treats on previous occasions.

This is the last night of celebrity jungle but it has been wonderful with many interesting characters, much singing and cheerfulness and a splattering of arguments and bitchiness. The trials have been a real challenge and exciting to watch and the celebrity chest challenges equally entertaining. Ant and Dec are always very entertaining and a real treat.

Tomorrow night we will find out who is to be the next Queen or King of the jungle!!
