X Factor acts already dominate the UK charts and it seems that they could start to take a hold over European music too.
Jedward have already represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest twice, since they finished sixth on The X Factor back in 2009 and now it seems that Rylan Clark is willing to follow in their footsteps.
The former model performed on the ITV show for the last time on Sunday night, when he was eliminated after being in the singoff with Union J. Gary Barlow criticised his performance on Saturday, saying it was too much like a Eurovision entry for him but Clark has admitted that he’d be happy to represent his country and doesn’t take that as an insult at all.
Dani Harmer has been enjoying some time off from her Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals it would seem.
The former Tracey Beaker star has been throwing herself into her practice sessions, ever since she got partnered with Vincent Simone last month, however as she works hard, she likes to play hard too and last night the brunette beauty hit the town with fellow contestant Lisa Riley and X Factor stars Jedward.
She tweeted:
X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes – Jedward – were of course the “novelty” act during their year on the show, but nobody can accuse them of being a joke act now; and certainly not if they check out their bank balances!
And just to prove the point that they do have a serious side, the boys have uploaded acoustic performances of Adele’s Bond theme tune and Plain White T’s track, Hey There Delilah, and they’re really not too bad…
As you’ll see in the videos after the jump, the lads have also ditched their trademark – and largely inexplicable – quaff/stand-up-straight hairdos for relaxed down-dos.

Oh dear, it’s like getting the coffee revel at the bottom of the pack, Gary Barlow has been designated the over 25 category in this years X Factor!
According to The Sun Newspaper, the judges all received a personal phone call from X Factor puppeteer, Simon Cowell, to be told which group they would be mentoring this year, and Take That front man, Barlow, lucked out as he was handed the Over’s, who last saw victory back in 2004 when Steve Brookstein won the first ever series of the show.

It’s been reported today that former X Factor finalists Jedward are set to compete against each other on the new series of Dancing on Ice, which kicks off in January.
And according to the Sun, the boys have been told that – if they are chosen to star in the show – they must compete using their real names, John and Edward Grimes, as they’ll be independent from each other for the first time ever!
The boys did of course star in Celebrity Big Brother, but as the one entity that is Jedward.
The paper reports that the boys have been practising at a London ice rink, “in the hope of impressing programme producers.”
A show insider said, “Producers are really keen on Jedward taking part as they think they will bring a lot of energy — not to mention madness — to the ice… Read more & comment »
Channel 5 have just uploaded a sneak peek at this week’s Big Brother shopping task – courtesy of Jenny from the show’s Task Team – which we have for you after the jump…
And there’s good news and bad news judging by the contents of the clip. The good news is that for this week’s shopping task, the housemates are going to be required to party for a full 48 hours.
However, the bad news is, at the end of the clip, Jedward turn up and we see Jenny, as if waking from sleep, saying, “I just had a horrible dream…”
And indeed, having Jedward around is everyone’s idea of a nightmare, so I’m praying that they just happened to be at the studios – and therefore their appearance on the clip is a red herring – and that they won’t actually be involved in the task.
I really don’t think I could cope with two days of constant, “Hey” and “like” and “OK” which seem to be Jedward’s primary vocabulary.

Tulisa Contostavlos was mocked at yesterday’s X Factor auditions, when admitted that she didn’t recognise a Jessie J song.
The former N-Dubz star was presiding over the London auditions for the ITV show, alongside Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, when she asked a hopeful who wrote the song they had just performed for the panel.
