19 year old Sophie Habibis impressed Kelly Rowland once more when she performed at judges house last month.

The London born barmaid was elated to have been chosen as one of Kelly’s final eight contestants and before singing for the famous duo in Miami, told Dermot O’Leary:

“Two weeks ago, three weeks ago I was working in a pub pulling pints and now I’m in Miami everything’s just absolutely breath-taking…I do not want to go back to pulling pints at all, I want to be on stage and I want to be singing in front of thousands that’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was little this day is so important it could change everything it really could.”

Thankfully for her, she seemed to do enough with her performance, as after her song, Rowland commented:

“That’s a bad chick! I want the album now!”

Jennifer Hudson added:

“That was flawless!”

“She tends to look down a lot she should just open her eyes because they’re so beautiful.”

Melanie sang Bruno Mars’ Grenade at X factor judges houses recently, but both Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson were left wanting a bit more from the performance.

The pretty Irish singer was chosen as part of the final eight female contestants and performed in Miami for the famous duo.

Before taking to the stage, at Kelly’s beachfront mansion, McCabe told Dermot:

“Never in a million years would I have dreamt I’d get this far, it’s just what dreams are made of…I’ve been watching X Factor since the very first episode and to think I’m actually one of these people that could be going to the live shows is unbelievable. I really feel like this is my moment this is the build up to what I’ve been dreaming of since I was a tiny little girl .”

After her performance of the ballad, Jennifer commented:

“She can sing.”

Kelly added:

“I agree…I actually was wanting her to come out of it more….”

Jennifer continued:

“And it almost came out!”

Kelly Rowland took American Idol star Jennifer Hudson to help her out at judges houses in Miami last week and we have to say, we don;t think she could have chosen a better assistant.

The 30 year old songstress rose to fame in 2004 as one of the finalists on the third season of American Idol. However she really hit the headlines after she made her film debut in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

The women worked together to whittle down eight hopeful female singers, to just four for the upcoming X Factor live shows, and each contestant got to perform two different songs for the singing experts.

However it was claimed that Kelly didn’t give her girls an easy ride and as well as first slapping them with a sex, alcohol and party ban, she later told her final four that they would spend their last few hours in America in a vocal training session, instead of relaxing and enjoying their time in sunny Miami.

Explaining just what a tough and hands on mentor she will be, Kelly said:

“There will be absolutely no alcohol, no smoking, no talking loud in clubs. I want them to take care of their bodies.”

“I will be like, ‘Don’t let anything knock you off your focus, or you will lose everything’.”

Jennifer Hudson has reportedly agreed to help Kelly Rowland at X Factor judges houses.

The Sun claims that the Destinys Child star was due to be assisted by R&B star Usher, as she whittle down her eight hopeful contestants to just four for next month’s live shows. However, he is now thought to have pulled out at the last minute and Hudson has offered to fill in.

An insider said: “Kelly is thrilled Jennifer is joining her.”

The pair will begin filming in Miami today, and will listen to each girl perform twice – two different songs – before choosing their favourite four.

Jennifer is no stranger to TV talent shows of course. She first rose to fame in 2004 as one of the finalists on the third season of American Idol, eventually finishing in seventh place.

She knows Kelly well too, having previously starred with her best friend Beyonce in award winning movie ‘Dream girls.’

X Factor star Leona Lewis and one time American Idol hopeful Jennifer Hudson have gotten together and recorded a song for the soundtrack of Sex And The City 2.

Leona is no newbie to the world of Hollywood soundtracks, having sang for both Avatar and Precious in the last year alone. And lets not forget that Jennifer won a best supporting actress Academy Award for her role in the 2006 musical movie Dreamgirls.

A source told The Sun: “The pair have recorded the song and it’s being discussed as either the main theme or to feature on the soundtrack.

“They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the UK and the US.

“It’s perfect for the next SATC film.”

Jennifer Hudson has admitted that she will try to emulate the parenting skills of her late mother, when raising her new son David.

The American Idol star’s mother Darnell Donerson, was shot dead last year.

Hudson told Bang Showbiz: “It’s never easy to be a mother but I have said to myself that everything I do will be guided by love. If I can be half the mom my mother was to her children, then I’m doing more than alright.”

She continued: “I want him to have God in his life. To me, that’s the most important thing. Also, my mother taught us to be independent and not to rely on anyone for anything. I will bring him up that way, too.”
