ITV have revealed some of the big named guest performers who will be taking to the stage, when their live shows begin later this month.
This weekend viewers final out the final acts, who will perform on the live shows with the chance of picking up the £250,000 prize money and each evening, as the hopefuls are nervously waiting to hear the result of the public vote, a star will take to the stage and lighten the mood with a musical performance.

Mariah Carey has returned to her usual uninhibited ways for her latest music video.
The American Idol judge hasn’t been worried about flaunting her curves and skin ever since she moved from her ‘Vision Of Love’ to her hip hop era and in the new music video for her single ‘#Beautiful’ the mum of two wears very little as she straddles a motorcycle to belt out her newest tune.

Jennifer Lopez has finally unveiled her brand new single.
The former American Idol judge collaborated with US star Pitbull on her latest track and will be releasing the tune as the lead single from her forthcoming album.
‘Live It Up’ had it first radio plays earlier today as the actress and singer hit the PR trail, in a bid to build buzz and eventually boost sales.

The Maroon 5 hunk has refused to be drawn into slating American Idol, or commenting on their ratings trouble during their current season and instead, he claimed that his own show The Voice is above all that bitchiness.

As fans of American Idol will doubtless know, both Steve Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have quit their roles as judges ahead of the new series, and there’s even some speculation that long serving judge Randy Jackson may follow suit.
So, it’s fair to say there’s something of a scramble going on right now to line up a new judging panel, but according to TMZ today, there are no shortage of celebs who have their eye on an American Idol job, including veteran singer, 70 year old Aretha Franklin.
Apparently, Aretha sent an email to Fox this weekend saying, “Yes, I am interested as a judge.”
And of course, Aretha’s career in music goes back decades, and in her time, she’s won 18 Grammy awards and countless other accolades.

OMG – literally days after Steven Tyler quit American Idol, his former fellow judge, Jennifer Lopez has followed suit and jumped ship also, whilst Randy Jackson’s future with the show does not look too certain either!
Tyler, the mega star front man of iconic rock group, Aerosmith, quit the hit US talent show a few days ago to concentrate more time on his band, and today during a tearful telephone interview on American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, the Latino singer and actress revealed that she too was leaving her judging seat.
