Jessica Hobson has returned to the stage and made a second attempt at the reality TV route.
The teenage singer auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2011, but broke down in tears when Simon Cowell criticised her song choice, her piano playing, her backing track and her dancing.
The wannabe has performed well at her BGT tryout and impressed the judges and audience members alike with her vocals. However, things went downhill when she got onto the semi final and after her second performance, the music mogul told Jess that he hated her backing dancers, hated the ‘dated’ version Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ and blasted her ‘silly dress.’ He admitted that Hobson had been ‘let down by the show.’

Stephen Mulhern has attempted a little bit of damage limitation work on behalf of Britain’s Got Talent bosses today.
Many viewers were shocked when watching last night’s semi final, when talented singer Jessica Hobson broke down in tears after being criticised by Simon Cowell.
The music mogul hated her song choice of Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’, the arrangement of the track and also the fact that she left her trusty piano to attempt a dodgy dance routine for the second half of her performance. Read more & comment »

Before tonight, we had thought that Jessica Hobson was one of the best singers we had ever heard on Britain’s Got Talent.
We loved her audition, because not only can she sing but she is truly musically talented and her piano playing is just beautiful.
Tonight Jessica was dressed in a stunning black sparkly dress and sat at a glossy baby grand piano, playing a jazzy version of Single Ladies by Beyonce.
However, she failed to live up to our high expectations. She sounded nervous and off key at times and the arrangement of the track was just terrible. Read more & comment »

Jessica Hobson made her TV debut on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show.
The unemployed 19 year old singer from Sheffield sang Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean for the panel, while playing keyboard.
Her vocal skill was astounding and afterwards Amanda Holden admitted:
