Jessie Wallace Leaves Strictly Come Dancing

Former Eastenders actress, Jessie Wallace has become the second female to leave this years series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Wallace and partner Darren Bennett ended up in the bottom two with singer Heather Small and her partner, Brian Fortuna. Three judges chose Heather to stay so it was bye bye Jessie!

Arlene Phillips told her: “Sometimes you looked like you were on the football field.”

Wallace said: “It wish it could have been longer, but that’s the game.”

“I’ve had a wicked time, Darren’s brilliant,” she added.

Bookies are backing Girlband for the boot from the X Factor tomorrow night and Jessie Wallace to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

Ladbrokes are offereing 11/8 odds on Jessie going home, whilst Girlband are 2/1 for the chop.

Nick Weinberg from Ladbrokes told The Sun: “Jessie hasn’t set the dance floor alight and we fully expect her to waltz off the show.

“Girlband look the weakest of the X Factor finalists – they’ve got a job on their hands to survive.”

Jessie is best known for her role as Kat Slater in BBC One’s EastEnders, which she played for five years.

Her career started in entertainment as a make-up artist at the Royal Shakespeare Company but she went on to drama college where she graduated in 1999.

Jessie’s first television appearance was in an episode of The Bill for ITV, and her EastEnders role was her second.

Since leaving the soap in November 2005, Jessie has starred in BBC One television dramas A Class Apart and The Dinner Party, plus Wild At Heart for ITV1. Read more & comment »
