Strictly Come Dancing: Jimmy Tarbuck Devastated To Leave

The People have reported today that the reason behind Jimmy Tarbucks sudden drop out from Strictly Come Dancing was that BBC bosses were afraid that he would collapse on air.

A source revealed: “Jimmy’s not very well and we don’t want him collapsing on live TV in front of millions of viewers. We decided not to let him take part.”

Jimmy was desperate to carry on dancing with partner Flavia Cacace.

He said: “I’m absolutely devastated. I really wanted to dance but I’ve been told I need to rest.” A spokesman for the show said: “It was a joint decision between the BBC, doctors and Jimmy that he should no longer take part.”

Yesterday the BBC refused to confirm rumours that a replacement dance couple would be brought in.

Their spokesman said: “There will be a twist - but you’ll have to wait and see.”

Strictly Come Dancing:Jimmy Tarbuck Will Dance Again

Comedian Jimmy Tarbuck was unable to take part in this weeks Strictly Come Dancing show due to health problems. An article in The People today claimed that the 66-year-old comic had been taken to hospital during the week after doctors discovered a heart murmur reportedly brought on by the TV show’s daunting training routines.

However a BBC spokesperson commented: “He’s hoping to be back next week performing the tango.”

A source had told the tabloid that Jimmy was a victim of his own determination.

“He was usually first in the dance studio and last to leave. Friends told him to take it easy - but Jimmy was desperate to get it right,” the insider said.

The source added: “The amount of time, effort and energy he put into the show would put a strain on an Olympic athlete, let alone a man who is old enough to get his pensioner bus-pass.”

Viewers watching last nights show saw ‘What Not to Wear’ host Mica Paris being booted off the show along with partner Ian Waite.
