Britain’s Got Talent 2012 semi final: Simon Cowell doesn’t think Jive Aces can win with ‘Bare Necessities’ (VIDEO)

The Jive Aces managed to put Simon Cowell in a good mood – no mean feat – when they auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year and tonight, they were hoping to have just as positive a reception.

The talented swing band – who previously impressed with their version of ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ – won a place on the live shows and performed on tonight’s debut semi final, for the studio audience and millions of viewers tuning in at home.

Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Profile of The Jive Aces

Jive Aces are a high energy six piece jive and swing band who have been performing together for 16 years. They all grew up together and were drawn together by their joint love of swing music. They started out as a group busking in Romford and had a great response which gave them the belief that they could continue and they now perform across the country at a variety of festivals and events, including performing at Cannes Film Festival, The band are popular within their genre but through entering BGT they hope that they can give the band the recognition they deserve.The group spend almost every day together and when they aren’t rehearsing or performing, they socialise together and consider themselves to be one big family.

Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Final 45 acts revealed! Ryan O’Shaughnessy is back in!

The Britain’s Got Talent audition shows ended tonight and on Sunday, the series moves into it’s live stages for the first time this year.

The live semi finals will run every night this week and this evening, the final acts who will be competing for a prize of £500,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Show were revealed.

We have the full list below and will soon be releasing details of which acts will go first, on tomorrow’s semi.
