Jonathan Ross has admitted that he loves reality TV but claimed that he as much as he would like to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house, he couldn’t because his wife would never allow it.

The chat show host told The Sun’s TV Buzz:

“I like reality TV. The only reason I won’t go in the Big Brother house is because Jane [his wife] wouldn’t let me.”

We’re not surprised that Jame has put her foot down, as Ross confessed that they are thinking about expanding their family and added:

“We’re been talking about having another kid. The man has it fairly easy during the pregnancy. We just have to feign interest in morning sickness and baby names for a while, the fun begins for us when the baby comes out.”

Jonathan also explained the truth behind the Lady Gaga rumours, laughing:

“I love Gaga, I should point out though that I didn’t have a teeny weeny erection, I think the thing is that I’m so virile that even when I’m not erect people think I am a little bit!”

Ross is known to be quite a flirt:

“I don’t think I flirt that much anymore, really. I don’t want to get off with anyone. Even when Gok Wan was flirting with me on Alan Carr’s New Year’s Eve show – I’m not really interested now.” He continued, “I was well P***ed that night, I have no memory.”

Jonathan and Russell Brand have always been partners in crime, and he is supporting Russell through the split from Katy Perry:

“He’s just a little sad behind the eyes right now, but anyone would be sad going through that, we had a long talk about it before it happened and we’ve had a fairly long talk since.”

But Jonathan’s main concern is whether to prepare an acceptance speech for this week’s National Television Awards!

“If I’m honest, I don’t think we’ll win, and if we don’t, I’d really like it to go to Loose Women – it’s a really good, slick show and they’re great company. But maybe I should think of something to say.”

Jonathan Ross and Holly Willoughby have hit out at X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, admitting that they think she pulled a sicky to miss the weekend’s live shows.

The Destinys Child star claimed to be stuck in America, after contracting a throat infection and being advised by doctors not to fly back to the UK last week. She was replaced on the live shows by Alexandra Burke but phoned in last night, to cast her vote after the results show sing off.

As she croaked and struggled to speak and broke into a fit of coughing while on air, ITV chat show host Ross tweeted:

“Kelly Rowland is delivering the least believable sick voice I have ever heard. She’s clearly not ill.”

Holly Willoughby also wrote: “She was like the dude from inspector gadget!”

In Kelly’s absence two of her acts ended up in the bottom two last night and she was forced to choose between Sophie Habibis and Misha B after they sang their save me songs. She had the casting vote and decided to send Sophie home.

Afterwards Misha thanked her mentor on the Xtra Factor and claimed that she didn’t blame her for missing the show and doesn’t think the absence led to her almost elimination.

Comedian Rufus Hound didn’t agree though, and last night blasted the American star, saying she should ‘hang her head in shame’ for letting her acts down so badly.

Jonathan Ross has confirmed that he will host the new ‘Big Brother’.

The legendary presenter – who quit his BBC chat show ‘Friday Night With Jonathan Ross’ earlier this year – and his company Hotsauce TV have signed a multi-million pound deal with ‘Big Brother’ creators Endemol to make a string of reality TV shows in the UK.

First in line will be ‘Big Brother’ replacement ‘The Golden Cage’, which follows a similar format to the long-running Channel 4 series and will see contestants move into a luxury villa and live millionaire lifestyles while competing against each other to win trips outside the house.

The hopefuls can be booted off either by the show’s producers or by fellow “inmates” and the last person left will win the house and a huge cash prize, which grows over the course of the series.

Confirming the deal – which is thought to be around £10million – Jonathan told the Daily Star newspaper: “I am beyond excited to be working with the biggest and best production company in the world.”

It comes after the controversial TV host recently admitted he was glad to have left the BBC.

He explained: “Ever since my last contract was announced – and it was a huge contact – I felt like there was a lot of pressure on me, a lot of negativity about it, and I felt kind of like, well, maybe I shouldn’t be here?”

Jonathan Ross has given his backing to controversial X Factor contestant Katie Waissel.

The TV presenter took to Twitter to reveal that both he and script-writing wife Jane Goldman like the 24 year old singer and asked the media to give her a break from all the negative attention.

In reply to a fan, who asked him to sign a petition supporting Waissel, he said: “I like Katie waissel. And so does my wife. leave her alone you tabloid bullies… (sic)”

Cheryl Cole has issued an apology to her fans, after she pulled out of a planned appearance on Jonathan Ross’s chat show.

Cheryl had been due to perform her new single ‘Parachute’ on tonight’s show, but canceled her slot after reportedly developing a bout of bronchitis. We think it may have more to do with the presence of Cheryl’s arch enemy Charlotte Church in the green room.

In a post on her official website, the X Factor judge said:

“Hi guys… As some of you may know, I’m really ill at the moment with a nasty case of bronchitis.

“Unfortunately, I’m stuck in bed under strict doctor’s orders, so I’ve had no other choice than to cancel my performances on the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross Show and the Radio 1 Live Lounge this week. Gutted!”

Cheryl added: “It’s a good job I’ve got my iPod to keep me entertained, l’m loving Ellie Goulding’s album right now! I’m really sorry for letting you down and I look forward to seeing you all soon.”

Cheryl Cole has pulled out of a planned appearance on the Jonathan Ross show this Friday night.

The X Factor judge has cited a case of bronchitis as the reason for canceling, but we think it has more to do with the fact that Charlotte Church had been booked for the same show.

Cheryl was due to perform her new single Parachute on the show, which is recorded today but a spokesman for the star confirmed to The Daily Mail that ‘Cheryl Cole has been forced to postpone all promotional activity this week upon medical advice after contracting bronchitis.’

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has reportedly agreed to give her first post separation interview to BBC’s Jonathan Ross.

The ‘Parachute’ singer announced this week that she was splitting from her cheating husband Ashley Cole and The Sun reports that she intends to spill the beans on the whole affair to Jonathan Ross for his BBC One chat show. She will reportedly make her appearance on March 12th 2010.

Chatshow host Jonathan Ross has revealed today, that he wants Channel 4 to reconsider their decision to axe Celebrity Big Brother.

Writing on his Twitter page, the star said: “Am I alone in thinking that Channel 4 should keep CBB going? This is not me looking for work btw !! But it’s a fun show….who’s yer fave ?”

He later tweeted: “I like Ivana. And Heiidi tho she’s bone-idle. And Sisqo and Jonas. And Vinnie is great ! But Baldwin is awful.”

Dragon’s Den star Peter Jones replied to ‘Wossy’ saying: “Vinny is my favorite. #CBB has never interested me until this year. It’s great TV and I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep it going.”

Just as the fuss over Call-Gate was beginning to die down, the paper claims that in the ‘80s, Sachs was a guest on his son’s radio show for Swansea Sound when a prank call was made to a member of the public.

Apparently, Sachs pretended to be the woman’s “long lost uncle” from Australia and during the call, he told the unsuspecting lady that he’d left Australia after “some trouble with the police” and went on to joke that he’d buried some jewels under a tree in a park.

It seems that many listeners were so convinced the call was real, they hotfooted it in their dozens to the park in question and began “tearing it up.”

The police were called to the park to halt the digging up that was taking place. Sachs is quoted in the paper as having said at the time, “Nice joke, but then we had a call from the police.

“The whole town had gone down to the park and torn [it] up.”

Sachs revealed details of the prank in an interview that was broadcast on Gay Byrne’s Irish talk show, The Late Late Show. It also forms part of a “greatest hits” DVD from the show.

Channel 4 comedian Alan Carr has admitted that he, Jonathan Ross and Gok Wan all got very emotional whilst filming for this years Comic Relief Does The Apprentice.

Alan told MSN: “You’re up at 7am then you’ve got to go to bed at 11pm and there’s no outside contact,” he said. “So you know when you see them crying on the show and you go ‘you wuss’… but my god there were bits, I don’t know if they kept it in but I was choked, Gok was upset, Jonathan Ross was a bit.”

However all the tears and dramas were worth it in the end when the boys came up with a product that Alan really believed in:

“I sound really sad because I never thought I would be like that but you’re with it 24 hours a day and I love that product, that product is me, it’s my blood and tears and then when you get some criticism you end up welling up.

“They just stuck the gays together so me and Gok spent a lot of the time together – him mincing around with a handbag and then me behind him with a bin liner.”
