American Idol: Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez Go Whilst Cowell Gets Even More Power!

Simon Cowell will be given extra power alongside his fellow American Idol judges after a dramatic rule change is introduced on tonight’s results show.

The change will allow the judges to NULLIFY the public vote and SAVE a contestant that had been chosen to be eliminated by the public, putting pressure on the contestants for the following week where there will be a DOUBLE elimination. They will only be allowed to do this ONCE during the show, and the judges must UNANIMOUSLY decide to save them.

American Idol: Jorge Nunez Moves Jennifer Lopez To Tears

American Idol finalist Jorge Nunez has moved Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony to tears.

Jorge was appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show yesterday when Ryan revealed that he had received a text from Anthony.

The message read: “Hey bro, just finished watching the show. This guy is really special. Please tell Jorge that Jen and I could not be prouder. We were in tears witnessing, honestly. Pure talent.”

American Idol: Scott MacIntyre, Jorge Nunez & Lil Rounds Get Through To Final 12

Scott MacIntyre, Jorge Nunez & Lil Rounds have become the latest three American Idol contestants to make it through to the final 12.

Scott and Lil were absolute certs based on their performances on Tuesday night’s show (click on their names to hear them sing again) and also on the fact that Lil was placed as last singer of the night, which almost seems to guarantee a spot at the top.

Jorge Nunez sang “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” by Elton John on last night’s American Idol live show.

The judges seemed impressed, though maybe not as blown away as they could have been. Jorge certainly is talented, but is it enough to get him through to the final twelve? I’m not sure at all.
