Last year’s Celebrity Big Brother winner Julian Clary has revealed that he was once viciously plagued by bullies, and in one horrific incident, his tormentors set fire to him!

Julian Clary has launched an outspoken attack on the Scottish Catholic Church over their campaign against gay marriage.
Julian, who recently won Celebrity Big Brother, this week started his “Position Vacant” tour in Scotland. In this show he pretends to marry a man from the audience at each gig, which in the UK is a comment about “gay still being seen as uncool” and the need for “real” marriage instead of registered partnership and now, in Scotland, a comment about the gay marriage row.

Denise van Outen must have the funniest support team by far. Earlier this week, when sitting in for Steve Wright, Julian Clary revealed to Jo Brand that he would be visiting his close friend Denise van Outen at a Strictly Come Dancing live show in the coming weeks. The comic added that he always felt a twinge of jealousy when seeing his former dance partner Erin Boag dancing with someone else, awwww.

Last night Julian Clary was surprised during his cabaret performance last night. Halfway through the Celebrity Big Brother winner’s show, while Julian started the search for a husband, a real proposal suddenly occurred when C4′s Coach Trip 2011 contestant Bonnie suddenly came on-stage for an impromptu proposal to her long term girlfriend Samantha.
Julian and the audience were both moved by the romantic interlude, that fitted delightfully into the star’s marriage themed show.

In the last few weeks, the gay community has been in a whirl, following the ill judged comments of Rupert Everett. The actor claimed that he couldn’t imagine being brought up by two dads, which he further clarified as his antipathy to marriage in general.
Many have spoken out in anger and believe that the comments come from a deep seated self hate within the “Next Best Thing” star.
When asked about it in a recent interview Julian Clary says: “Well, his argument doesn’t really hang up, does it? I’m sure he believes in equality, so gay people should have the same rights as everyone else, I’m sure he’d believe that.” Read more & comment »

Last night at the recording of Live at the Apollo, Julian Clary left the stage close to tears and upset by what some audience members claimed was extreme homophobic heckling.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner, who has played in front of sold out and happy crowds with his well received new show for the last few weeks, must have felt so shocked by this completely different crowd, who reacted so badly to his act.

Julian Clary has revealed he is definitely hoping to create a new gay TV sitcom, with new close friend Julie Goodyear. They are planning to base the series in the fictional B&B they came up with during their time in the house.
Says Julian in a radio interview: “There is talk of a sitcom based in the gay B&B called the White Swallow which seems a good idea to me. And she is very funny and she has got great comic timing. So I think my people are talking to her people.”

It looks like the first series of try outs have gone wonderfully well for Julian Clary, with audiences all saying “wonderful” and fabulous – Julian is clearly enjoying being back on stage after his stay in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
He is not dwelling on the experience too long, besides the odd reference to Prince Lorenzo, Martin Kemp and obviously Julie Goodyear, he mainly focuses on his quest: to find a suitable husband before the evening is over.
Possible husbands are not hard to find with the front row brimming with lovely gay men (and the occasional straight one.) Julian should consider a TV version of the “quiz” part of the show. Maybe finding husbands for other gay men? There is something in this… Read more & comment »

Julian Clary is the most amazing man. He is barely a week out of the Celebrity Big Brother house and it looks like he already has a wonderful show rehearsed and ready. Yesterday, we are told he had a secret dress rehearsal for friends and some members of the press. The unanimous verdict? Perfect!!
Sarah Murray said of the show “It’s amazing” and added some very delicious cake was served as well.
The show ended with Julian marrying one of his male punters. His husband of the night? The very pretty BBC radio 4 newsreader Zeb Soanes, who later tweeted the most pretty picture of him and Julian saying:

Yesterday the results of the Celebrity Big Brother viewers poll was revealed, and Julian Clary once more came out on top, as number one funniest housemate, leaving runners up Cheryl Fergison and The Situation far behind.
One of the scenes that most viewers found funny came during the “home truths” task, where Julian, Julie Goodyear, Coleen Nolan and Samantha Brick had to insult each other. Julian didn’t like it though, telling New Magazine:
“That task was awful. I had to be honest to win and I said the first thing that came into my mind. I could see the hurt in her eyes. She’s lost a stone and a half in the past month and admitted herself she still has a way to go, but I know it’s the worst thing you can say to a woman so if I had my time again I would have said something different.”
