Kate Garraway has admitted that she doesn’t believe Gillian McKeith didn’t watch I’m A Celebrity before she appeared on the show.

The Daybreak entertainment editor says she is always amazed by people who enter reality TV shows with so little preparation and added that being voted to take part in so many Bushtucker Trials, is ‘karma’ for the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star.

“It never ceases to amaze me when people go on reality shows and claim they had no idea what they’d let themselves in for,” Garraway wrote in New magazine.

“Gillian McKeith is a prime example. What on earth did she think she’d be doing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!? Having a manicure?”

She added: “I find it funny that she can’t cope with eating all the weird stuff, given that she forced people on her show to eat stuff they found repulsive.

“Now that’s karma!”

Despite worries that she wouldn’t be well enough to do so, Kate Garraway braved her spinal injury and took to the Let’s Dance stage tonight.

She and her GMTV co-star Richard Arnold gave us a Grease inspired hand jive and while neither one of them are blessed with rhythm or grace, they are good at taking the p**s out of themselves.

It was strange to see Richard looking so hairy, thought the pink shirt does bring back an element of camp and I grudgingly admit that Kate did look pretty stunning in her white dress. I still can’t stand the smarmy cow but I didn’t detest her as much as usual tonight.

So, curvy Kate teamed up with hyper-camp Richard Arnold and performed on tonight’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief. They gave a Grease themed performance to the tune Hand Jive and if you thought this was going to be a Garraway train wreck, think again! It was a fantastic group number, with Kate and Richard pulling off a great comedy dancing routine.

The routine was good enough to win the GMTV pair a place in the final next month, though we don’t think they have a chance of beating the hilarious Rufus Hound.

Kate Garraway, Richard Arnold and Debra Stephenson have made it through to the final of Let’s Dance For Sports Relief.

We were shocked when Kate and Richard first performed their Grease inspired hand jive routine on tonight’s show, we’d expected them to be awful. Let’s face it, Kate displayed no natural rhythm or aptitude for dance during Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, so we expected her to be crap tonight. However, she and Richard actually performed really well. They managed to be funny while pulling off a mildly complicated routine and that’s big praise from us, because we normally detest Kate Garraway.

Kate and Richard got the highest amount of public votes and went automatically through to the final, while the judges chose to put Debra Stephenson through above kids TV presenters Sam and Mark. It was a much deserved win as Debra was great tonight while the boys were just 100% pure annoying!

Kate Garraway is a glutton for punishment. The judges openly laughed at her poor dance attempts when she competed in Strictly Come Dancing 2007, yet she still agreed to sign up for another BBC dance related show.

Getting ready for her performance alongside Richard Arnold on tonight’s Let’s Dance For Sports Relief, Garraway has admitted that she has one big worry. She’s scared that she will expose her assets to the nation.

Kate told The Sun: “The dance I am doing is so bouncy and I am breastfeeding at the moment, so everything is quite inflated.

“But I am up for making a fool of myself. If you look me up in the dictionary, it says ‘Glutton for punishment’.”

On her Strictly Come Dancing performance Kate laughed:

“It’s hard to imagine being worse. But I am worried that I’ll forget everything and Richard will have to elbow me in the ribs.”

GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has waded in on the whole Cheryl and Ashley Cole furore and advised the X Factor judge to take some space from her marriage.

She told new! magazine: “Lots of people are of the opinion that she should definitely leave him this time, and while I can’t say I blame them, I think it’s easy to give relationship advice but not always so easy to take it.

“Only Cheryl knows what goes on between her and Ashley behind closed doors, and she has to put everyone else’s opinions aside and do what’s best for her.

“That said, if she does want to save the relationship in the long term, she needs to put some distance between her and Ashley, so he knows that he can’t get away with behaviour like this in the future.

“If she doesn’t make some kind of stand, the respect will be gone. It’s so sad, because I’ve always got the impression that she was totally in love with him. She must be furious that all this has put their relationship in jeopardy yet again.”

Garraway has admitted that she was delighted when she heard that Stephanie Beacham would be appearing on Channel 4′s Celebrity Big Brother.

The pair first met when they both competed on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and the GMTV presenter told New magazine:

“I was thrilled to see my former Strictly Come Dancing pal, Stephanie Beacham, bringing a touch of glamour to the house.

“As you’d expect from a lady who starred in legendary ’80s soap Dynasty, Stephanie oozes sophistication,” she continued. “So it’s weird to think of her slumming it for three weeks alongside the likes of Lady Sovereign and Alex Reid.”

“Luckily, I know Stephanie has a brilliantly dry sense of humour, so I think she’ll cope just fine.”

Some sources suggest that Kate’s pay – which is currently around £280,00 per year – could be slashed by £70,000.

It’s also reported that co-host Andrew Castle has had his pay cut by 20% with Ben Shephard, Penny Smith and Lorraine Kelly enduring similar salary cuts.

The presenters have also apparently been told that their paid holiday leave will be cut by up to 50%.

A source said to be close to Kate told the paper, “The deal was a shocker” and added, “Kate’s agent is prepared to pull her from GMTV if they continue along these lines as the station is still hugely profitable and they’re just using the credit crunch as an excuse…

“GMTV is one of the only bits of ITV that still pulls in cash.”

A representative of GMTV refused to discuss the rumours about Kate threatening to walk and said, “We do not discuss presenters’ contracts.”

And it’s not only GMTV staff who are facing pay cuts and stars such as Jonathan Ross, Simon Cowell and TV duo Ant and Dec are also subject to reductions in their salaries.

GMTV presenter, Kate Garraway has been announced as the new host of ITV’s ‘The Biggest Lose’.

Kate, who recently announced that she was pregnant with her second child told Metro:

“Every contestant has a different reason for wanting to take part. Some are longing to have a baby, but their weight is preventing them, some are looking for love, and others have been told that if they don’t shed the pounds they could die, so for them the show really is a last chance, literally a matter of life and death.

“I have been so moved and often completely inspired by many of the contestants’ stories and I know people watching at home will be gripped too.”

All the couples danced different numbers tonight, but once again one of those couples had to leave.

But it was Kate and footballing legend John Barnes who found themselves in the bottom two competing in the dance-off.

This was Kate’s first dance off – despite coming bottom with the judges five times – and John’s third time in the rematch.

Of Kate’s first performance, the Paso Doble, the judges said:

Arlene Phillips: “Less like a cape, more like a shag carpet. Plonky plonky.” Score: 5.

Bruno Tonioli: “Tutankhamun in a frock would have done a better job. The footwork was mummified.” Score: 5.

Len Goodman: “Like the Perils of Pauline every week a disaster but she always comes back. I liked the steps but it lacked a bit of fire and drama.” Score: 7.

Craig Revel Horwood: “Kate, you did the best you could do but it lacked any attack.” Score: 4.

Kate and Anton Du Beke scored a total of 21/40 making them bottom of the judges’ leader board.

But the judges came to a unanimous decision on the dance off. They said:

Craig: “I have a responsibility to choose the best dancer so I save John and Nicole.”

Arlene: “I think tonight it has to be John and Nicole.”

Bruno: “I think both of you upped the ante but the better dance was John and Nicole.”

Len: “I agree with Bruno and would have saved John and Nicole.”

The competition continues next week.
