Glamour model Katie Price said that her split from husband Peter Andre was “not what I want.”

The reality TV star said she was “devastated” by her husband’s decision to begin divorce proceedings.

Price said in a statement: “Pete is the love of my life and my life.”

She continued: “We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me, as I married him for life.

“This is not what I want and the decision has been taken out of my hands.

“I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation but I will always love my Pete.”

I can just see it now. Two months down the line and they will be selling their reconciliation story to the highest bidder!

I’m hardly surprised but reality TV stars Katie Price and Peter Andre have tonight announced that their marriage has broken down.

The pair, who met on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity four and a half years ago have previously denied repoirts that their marriage was crumbling, it just goes to show that you can’t believe a word either one of them say.

In a statement, a representative for the family confirmed the split, adding: “They have both requested that the media respect their families’ privacy at this difficult time.”

That strikes me as a little hypocritical, the pair have made their money from the media. They made their fortune by having TV cameras follow them around for weeks running and now they want the cameras to stop rolling. Not likely!

Katie & Peter try their hand at living and working Stateside, family and all… Katie & Peter are moving west. They are off to the States with the entire family in January and ITV2 viewers will get to see all the highs and lows of life for the Price-Andre family in America.

Peter is going to be recording a new album, the main reason for the move, and Katie will be doing what Katie does best – being the most glamorous mum on the planet as she settles Harvey into his American school and looks after Princess & Junior, all whilst horse riding, running (Katie is training for the marathon) and doing all the promotional work that comes her way in Tinseltown.

Stateside is going to have the usual Katie and Peter ups and downs: the bickering and the making up; the tantrums and the love ins; the family outings and the family bust ups, all against the backdrop of being in a different country.

The new series kicks off with Katie and Peter still in England but tying up loose ends before they leave for America, and we catch up with them recording the new ‘Stateside’ titles for the new series.

The title shoot has an American theme and Peter is relaxing in a Cadillac whilst Katie is dressed as a rather sexy policewoman, much to Peter’s delight. The couple are on good form and there is plenty of banter between them.

Next we see Katie and Peter at the offices of a daily newspaper where they are guest writing the celebrity column. The couple look through recent paparazzi shots that have been sent into the newspaper and they comment on pictures of Amy Winehouse and Samantha Ronson. Katie also discusses Kerry Katona and the journalists ask them a few questions, such as the last thing they argued over.

Later in the episode, Katie and Peter return to the house where their children are, who are cuter than ever, particularly Princess who is now one-and-a-half and is walking and talking. Both Katie and Peter are planning to run the London Marathon in April, so even though they have just got home, they immediately get ready for the night run they have planned.

Peter tells Junior off for using a bad word and then Harvey arrives and throws a little tantrum but Katie cheers him up by getting him to repeat his favourite nursery rhyme. Much later than expected, Katie and Peter finally head off for their run.

The next day couple’s management are at the house for a meeting about LA. However, the meeting soon descends into chaos as Peter puts one of Katie’s hair clips on his nose. Peter escapes to the playroom and gives an impromptu and very cute Greek lesson to Junior and Princess.

Later that day and Katie is clearing out her office before the move. She finds a newspaper article written about her and Peter before they went into the jungle, titled “sex pack meets six pack”. She reads it to Peter and they laugh about what they supposedly said about each other before the jungle.

Finally, Peter heads over to see his manager Neville for a quick meeting about his music, as recording his new album is one of the main reasons for moving to the States. Peter discusses how he feels everyone is expecting it to be rubbish but that he is hoping to surprise a few people. He also apologies for Insania and says that he is now doing what he should have done back then.

The next part picks up on the day before the move to LA. Katie has a huge mountain of clothes she is packing for the trip. Meanwhile, upstairs, Peter is having a heart to heart with Junior. Someone has put pink nail varnish on his nails so Peter explains this is not for a boy. Junior doesn’t really understand. And it seems the stress of the big move is getting to everyone as later that evening Peter and Katie are having a big row.

Peter has arranged to go out and Katie thinks he is being suspicious and might be seeing someone else. In a tense scene, they both tell each other what they think before Peter escapes to the bedroom upstairs. Katie stands by everything she has said but Peter just can’t understand why he is being picked on. Eventually, Peter backs down and stays in for the evening, they share a pizza and Katie wonders what the next few months will bring.

Next morning and everyone is up early and there is some last minute packing to be done. With 22 suitcases loaded into car, they finally set off. There are photographers at the airport and, to make it worse, Harvey doesn’t want to get out of the car but eventually they make it into the terminal.

We pick them up on their arrival in LA, and there is a frenzy of photographers as they arrive. They set off for their new home, a seven-bedroom mansion in Malibu and even though it’s late and they are jet lagged when they arrive, they are impressed with the house.

Next morning and it’s a beautiful setting for Katie and Peter to wake up to. We explore their new house, which has some incredible views over the valley. Katie and Peter attempt to allocate rooms for the kids before hitting the shops to get some food in the fridge. There’s another huge group of photographers following them.

Back home, Peter is complaining that Katie is being moody and he tells us a story his dad told him about having two ears – goes in one and out the other.

Thursday, 16 April 2009, 9:00PM – 10:00PM, ITV1

Katie Price and Peter Andre are rumoured to be in talks with the BBC about appearing on this years series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Sun reports that it has been SCD judge, Arlene Phillips, pushing to get Jordan on the show, especially now that she has had her boobs reduced in size.

A source told the newspaper: Last series, we had Kelly Brook and Alesha Dixon and we just want to make sure this series is the best yet — having Peter and Jordan would make everyone trip the light fantastic.”

Its Katie’s 30th birthday and all her friends and family are organising a big surprise. Katie knows nothing about the plans and the episode begins with manager Claire giving Peter a list of instructions to tell Katie about what she needs to bring. But Katie doesn’t like being told what to bring and vows that if no one tells her what is happening she won’t be going.

The next scene is the morning of her birthday surprise and unlike Katie she is dressed and ready to go – and full of questions for Peter about where they might be going. She is out in the garden playing with the kids when she hears a helicopter noise above her, and she expects some nosey members of the press. But when the helicopter lands in her garden she realises this is the beginning of the surprise. She says goodbye to the kids and she’s off in the helicopter. Then the guessing game of where they are going begins. Eventually, when they are flying over the grounds of an incredible hotel north of London she guesses that is where they are going – she is right.

When she lands, all her closest friends and family are waiting for her and she is delighted to see them all and they joke about how they have managed to keep everything a surprise. Manager Claire gives everyone a rundown of the weekend’s itinerary and tells them that the theme of the weekend will be girls vs boys – much to everyone’s delight. Then Katie is taken to her exclusive hotel suite and the whole room has been decorated and is full of saucy presents.

Katie and Peter return to the hotel lobby and they are straight off to try their hand at clay pigeon shooting. The boys and the girls competition is ramped up and everyone is very excited as they race the golf buggies across the hotel lawn. The girls do a huddle and are taunting the boys. The boys respond in the only way they know how – by mooning the girls. The clay pigeon shooting begins and there is lots of banter – Katie’s friend and former model Jamelia and Peter are joking around having a play fight when Jamelia accidentally smacks Peter in the face giving him a fat lip – first blood has been drawn! After all the shooting the results are gathered and everyone is told the winners will be announced at dinner later.

The next scene sees Katie and some of her female friends relaxing in the hotel spa having various treatments and massages. Then Katie returns to her room where Peter is sleeping and they laugh about some of the sex toys that have been left in their room and Peter is hopeful that some of them might get used tonight. They start to get ready for the evening but it takes Katie a long time to get dressed and made up and by the time she is ready Katie is in a bad mood as she is late and everyone has been hassling her. But when she eventually gets downstairs, she is again pleased to see all her friends and family and once the cocktail shakers start mixing up the drinks the party really gets started. After some photos, Katie starts to open all her presents and despite moaning to her mum that she’s bought her “another frame” she is pleasantly surprised to see that her mum Amy has in fact bought her a family tree.

They enter the dining room and enjoy a sumptuous 5 course meal with all of Katie’s favourite things. Over dinner Katie embarrasses Peter by telling a story of when she made him up, and also when he got rather excited during a massage. After dinner Katie has had enough of being dressed up so she goes off to put her pyjamas on. Then everyone plays pass the parcel but with a difference and there are some interesting truth or dares. Katie cuts the cake and then, exhausted, she goes to bed early, and Peter soon follows.

The next day the “boys v girls” theme continues as after breakfast Katie and Peter go pony racing and are cheered on by everyone around them. The weekend ends with Katie and Peter flying back in a helicopter to their home, and on the way back they reminisce about the last few months and all the exciting things they have done.

It’s the 26th of April and tonight’s episode of The Next Chapter begins with Katie and Peter touching down in Florida. It’s very early in the morning when they arrive with Princess and Katie and Peter are tired and not in the best of moods. They get followed out of the airport by paparazzi but when they are followed into their resort they have to sit and wait for the security to get rid of them. As they sit and wait, they bicker at one other about anything and everything. Eventually they get into their house, but the arguing continues as Peter is trying to entertain the camera and Katie wants peace and quiet and to put Princess to sleep.

After a rest, Katie and Peter are excited to see the arrival of Harvey and Junior from London that night. It’s been several days since they last saw them and there is some quality family playtime when they arrive. Harvey entertains everyone with his prank phone calls and Junior tells Peter that he hates it when he is away. The next morning and Katie, Peter and Junior are heading off to spend the day at an authentic American cattle ranch. They are all excited and start off in the ranch shop to equip themselves with the appropriate attire. While Peter tries the cowboy hats on, and Katie wants some pink cowgirl boots, Junior spots a pink baseball cap that he sets his heart on. When Peter tries to explain to Junior that pink is not a suitable colour for him, Junior gets very upset. To cheer Junior up, Katie and Peter take a short ride on a golf buggy, but it descends into an argument as Katie tells Peter that she thinks he doesn’t act himself on camera. Peter gets upset by this and when they eventually are taken off for some cattle herding they are both in bad moods. But after a few hours in the saddle, we can see them holding hands again and harmony is finally restored. Just before they leave, Katie and Peter try their hand at bull whipping, with hilarious results.

The following day and all the family at getting ready for a big day out a Disneyworld. On the way there Peter tries out some of his new jokes but Katie thinks she can say them better. When they arrive they have their photos taken for a magazine. Peter gives an impromptu biology lesson to Junior when he asks what a couple ducks are doing. Peter is a bit scared of all the adult rides so whilst the others go off to ride them he accompanies Junior to get his face painted. The day ends with a Disney BBQ and Junior is straight onto the dance floor, and his funky moves soon attract an admirer. Junior dances with an American girl and Peter is very proud. After the BBQ he jokes with Junior about whether he got her number, Junior says that he did. The next day and the management team have arrived at Katie and Peter’s house to discuss some of the stories that have been printed about them since they’ve been away. The stories claim that Katie is in a depression and went to LA to see a therapist. Katie is shocked and angry when she hears the stories and Peter cannot understand where they get the stories from.

The final day at Disney and it’s a day for the adults to try out all their favourite rides. Peter, who has had panic attacks on rollercoasters before, is very nervous about going on them and while Katie and the rest of the family enjoy ride after ride, he contemplates whether the fear controls him, or whether he can control the fear. After much deliberation and coaxing from everyone else, he finally steps in, but a few seconds later he’s out again and has wimped out. The episode ends with the famous fireworks, and as Katie and Peter watch the show, they get all lovey dovey, before they attempt to wrap up the show with a goodbye, but just can’t get the words right.

Katie Price (aka Jordan) appeared on This Morning today and talked about her new boobs, new teeth and new nose. At this rate the only original body part Jordan has left will be her tiny brain!

Katie Price and Peter Andre appeared on the Paul O’Grady show this week to promote their new ITV2 TV show, Katie and Peter The Next Chapter.

As well as getting all the inside info on Katies recent plastic surgery, we were also treated to a clip from the new show in which the couple visit Australia and son Harvey swims with the dolphins……thrilling!!!

I just read a story in The Sun, saying that the children of Jordan and Peter Andre love to watch the TV show on which their parents first met.

Excuse me for seeming prudish, but isn’t their eldest child only five?

After watching last nights show, where the I’m A Celebrity campmates talked of orgies and threesomes, I hardly think this is appropriate TV for three pre-schoolers. Celebrity Mum of the year……seriously???
