Former Apprentice candidate Katie Hopkins is running for MEP.

The woman who caused a stir on last years show by walking off before she was sacked, is standing under the banner of Katie Olivia Hopkins Independent Party.

The former Met Office worker is one of six South West region candidates on June 4.

Katie Hopkins has become the second person to be voted off ITV’s reality TV show, I’m A Celebrity.

I can’t say I’m shocked, surprised or disappointed. In fact Katie was a bit of a non entity in the jungle for me……I expected much more fireworks when she made her late entry. She really didn’t deliver!

Apprentice star Katie Hopkins encountered 20,000 cockroaches when she was buried underground in a coffin.

But the worst was yet to come when the coffin shot out from the ground to dangle 200 feet above a ravine before being tilted upwards.

For every minute Katie stayed in the diamond shaped box she would be awarded one meal for the camp and the plucky celeb managed the full 10 minutes, meaning she could return to camp victorious with 10 meals in the bag for that evening.

Ant told Katie as she arrived for the trial: “This is Grave Danger. Underneath this mound is a diamond shaped pit. Ware going to raise the lid and you’ve got to get in, lie flat on your back, then we will lower the lid again. You will be in complete darkness.”

Dec added: “Obviously this is a Bushtucker Trial so you may not be alone in there.”

Katie speculated on what might be joining her in the box: “A big man?”

Dec told her: “Maybe. Expect surprises. That’s all I can say.”

But Katie was determined not to be put off and said: “I think it’s time to take it like a man. I’m going to go for it.”

Ant then asked: “Are you scared at all?”

Katie: “Yes. If you could have picked my worst nightmare and really wanted to punish me this would probably be it.”

As the lid was lowered onto the coffin and Katie found herself in darkness she laughed and said: “Oh my God.”

She then started singing to herself as the 20,000 cockroaches gradually joined her.

“Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. Whatever the frigging hell that is, I’m not liking it,” she said.

She then tried mind over matter telling herself: “Oh my God, oh my God it’s some sort of treatment, it’s just a treatment. Oh my good God, please if these come up my bits I’m going to be really angry. They smell as well. Oh my God they’re all over my arse.”

She described it as ‘like childbirth but worse’, continuing: “Ow you little bastard get off.”

Ant then revealed in a hushed voice: “What she doesn’t know is the coffin is about to move.”

He asked: “What’s wrong Katie are they biting you?”

“Yes, they’re biting. It really hurts and they’re up my bits as well.”

Dec said: “There’s 20,000 cockroaches in there.”

Ant added: “And it doesn’t seem like she knows what’s happening. She hasn’t recognised the coffin has moved at all.”

The coffin was by now over the ravine dangling from ropes on a pully system in mid air.

Katie continued: “Ow, you little shit, you shit, you.”

The wooden case of the box then fell off to reveal the Perspex coffin leaving Katie able to see that she was now dangling over the ravine.

Dec told her: “You can open your eyes and have a look now Katie.”

She told Dec she didn’t want to and exclaimed: “Ow, it’s in my bra.”

Dec then revealed in a hushed voice that the coffin was about to be tilted.

As the coffin moved so it was dangling at an angle, Katie remarked: “Ow, well at least I’m standing on some of the little shits.”

Ant reassured her: “You’re doing very well.”

Katie then began chanting to herself.

“Who thinks up this stuff you’re sick, you’re sick,” she added.

The brave celeb had, by now, reached 10 minutes and the box was brought back to land and she was able to get out.

Ant said: “Well done give yourself a rub down,” as the cockroaches continued to crawl all over her body.

Katie jokingly rubbed herself against Ant and Dec to wipe the cockroaches off.

Katie said of her ordeal: “It makes me want to be sick. They really stink and then they started crawling up my bits.”

Ant asked her what it was like when the box was moved to dangle over the ravine.

Katie said: “Not special. Not my favourite moment, then they bite, that’s the thing.”

Ant told her: “There were 20,000 cockroaches in there. I just thought I would let you know that.”

The woman who faced Katie Hopkins in BBC TV show, The Apprentice, has spoken out about her desire for a catfight in the jungle.

Speaking on GMTV, Christina Grimes said: “We’ve still got an argument to settle, me and Katie…She’s wished me dead!

“I’d like to go in there for a couple of days and really sort her out. I’d have her. I’d absolutely put her in her place.”

Grimes added: “She is the biggest bitch from hell.”

On what it would be like to live with Hopkins in the jungle, Christina commented: “She’s just like a puppy or a dog. She just needs to know who’s boss. They make a few messes on the floor and you need to rub their nose in it, you teach them to shut up when you tell them to shut up, a few yanks on the leash and I’m sure she’d be sitting and begging quite well.”

New I’m A Celebrity camp mate Katie Hopkins caused quite a stir with both camps talking about her.

In Croc Creek Anna said: This is so up her street.”

Cerys added: “I can’t wait to meet this lady.”

And Anna added: “She’s not awful. She’s a very driven woman.”

Marc intervened: “There’s nothing wrong with being driven but you work over people. And you need it in that world.”

Later Anna said in the Bush Telegraph: “I’m not like that. I’m a designer. I design pushchairs and I’m going to look after animals, and this lady has thousands of people probably in a company and that’s different to me, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get on.”

But Katie’s impending presence has affected all of Croc Creek and they are worried what effect the merging of the teams will have. John said: “She’s going to say, ‘I’m the leader of the pack. I’ve had four and now I’ve got nine’. That’s what she’ll try to do.”

And Marc joked that she might insist on running the camp strictly and introduce a roll call.

Meanwhile, Katie’s arrival in Snake Rock seemed to ruffle some feathers. Lynne and Katie chatted, with Lynne saying she thought Katie’s father might have been in the navy as she seemed to have a military nature. Katie told her she’d been through Sandhurst and Lynne told her: “You’re not at Sandhurst now.”

Katie replied: “I know that, but I still talk the way I talk and I am the way I am.”

Lynne then picked Katie up about what she described as her masculine language. She said: “Mate is such a mannish expression. I don’t want to be a man. I have my own language too, more feminine endearments. I’d probably call you sweetheart or Katie. One of the problems women have in this world is that language is so masculine. My stuff is using metaphors.”

The conversation moved to behaviour in business. Katie said: “I think you and I would make each other uncomfortable in our business lives. That is the reality.”

Lynne replied: “I know you’d wear a corporate suit to a meeting. For me, why are we trying to look like men?”

Later she added: “I totally disagree with her. We’ve to be ourselves and be the best we can.”

Katie replied: “I like feeling strong and I like feeling muscular. I like wearing a suit. It makes me feel like I’m ready to take on the blokes. They’re tough ballsy bastards, a lot of them.”

Later Katie said about Lynne: “Oh my good God. So if there was left and right of a spectrum, Lynne is left and I am right. I really think that anyone who talks about femininity but doesn’t really respect themselves in terms of keeping themselves fit and healthy… it’s a juxtaposition of what she’s saying. I’d rather be me.”

Gemma Atkinson returned to the jungle camp after taking part in the Celebrity Chest with her new team mate Katie Hopkins and introduced her to the other celebrities.

As they approached the camp Gemma announced: “We’ve got a new team member and a chest.”

Lynne told Janice: “She was in The Apprentice… she was highly competitive.”

Katie shook hands with her fellow campers.

Gemma said of her experience in the Celebrity Chest: “I’m wet and stinking of fish.”

Janice asked her: “Were you in the other camp?”

Katie replied: “No, I’ve only come in today. I’ve been in the real world on the outside.”

Janice told her: “Because you were Malcolm’s replacement.”

Katie said: “Well yes I didn’t know anything about him either.”

They then got down to business to try to correctly answer the Celebrity Chest question and get a treat.

It was: Which of the following do women worry about most often – money or appearance?

They chose appearance but the answer was actually money.

Gemma said: “We could have had chocolate, we could have had biscuits.”

Lynne didn’t believe the answer to the survey was correct. She said: ‘I don’t believe it. I work with women all the time. Can I see the results of the survey?”

As J looked at the chest, Katie asked: “Are you going to bust it?

J broke into the other side of the chest and they took the biscuits inside it.

Katie didn’t have one though, telling the others: “No really I’ve just come from pig trough central.”

However, breaking into the chest may not have been such a great idea, as punishments were soon doled out. Snake Rock had been supposed to receive a meal each after Janice won her Bushtucker trial, however as they broke the rules (and the chest!) show bosses decided to confiscate one of their meals by way of punishment.

With food severely lacking in Snake Rock, the pressure was on to try and win the Celebrity Chest. Katie Hopkins decided to join Gemma Atkinson on the quest. The pair met John and Anna in a clearing and discovered the chest was a race across a lake which involved each team untangling a buoy attached by ropes to logs balanced across the water. By untangling the buoy they would be able to access a key to open the chest at the other end.

On realising who their new opponent was Anna said: “That’s that lady from The Apprentice. I think I was a little bit intimidated because she’s a high flying business lady. I didn’t watch all of it I saw some of it. They’re business women, and they’re hard nosed, they run big companies. I paint things.”

In the battle to retrieve the chest Gemma and her new teammate Katie beat Anna and John and then had the arduous task of carrying the chest back to camp.

The rumours were true, the b***h from BBC’s Apprentice TV show, Katie Hopkins has joined the I’m A Celebrity camp.

She has already replaced Malcolm McLaren in the Snake Rock team…….just what J needed, another outspoken female!!

ITV bosses are said to have built a sewer underneath the Australian outback, and will offer the reality TV show’s viewers the chance to send their most hated celebrity into it.

Many people are already predicting that Apprentice reject, Katie Hopkins will be the first to be voted into the sewer, where she will have to contend with a flood of water full of spiders, toads, scorpions, snakes, flies and maggots.
