Outgoing American Idol contestant Katie Stevens has said that she did not mind being compared to former finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. During recent shows Katie chose to sing ‘Feelin’ Good’, which was previously performed by Adam Lambert and ‘Let It Be’ which was covered by 2009 winner Kris Allen.
On her ‘Feelin Good’ rendition Katie told Entertainment Weekly:
“I basically said, ‘I’m going to do this anyway’. It’s a new season, you’re going to be compared to people no matter, so if they were going to compare me to Adam Lambert, they were going to compare me to Adam Lambert.”
Former American Idol contestants Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens have revealed that they are “excited” about going on tour with their fellow finalists.
Both singers were eliminated from the show last week, after judges saved Michael Lynche the week before. They will both go on tour with the rest of the Idol 2010 final ten.
Recently eliminated American Idol contestant Katie Stevens appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show today and revealed that she found her Idol experience much harder than she ever could have expected.
New judge Ellen asked how she managed to cope with the media attention and judges criticisms at the tender age of 17, Katie replied:

Katie was eliminated from the show last week after performing Elvis’ ‘Baby, what You Want Me To Do’ for the judges. Randy Jackson thought it was a ‘sassy’ performance but Simon Cowell found it ‘annoying.’ The public obviously agreed because her lack of votes left Katie in the bottom two along with Andrew Garcia.
Outgoing American idol contestant Katie Stevens has admitted that she won’t be able to go to her high school prom, because if her ongoing Idol commitments.
In an interview with People, the 17 year old Connecticut girl admitted that she will be too busy rehearsing for the Idol tour this summer to think about Prom dresses and corsages. She said:

It seems to be a common complaint, former eliminee Didi Benami also slammed Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres and Randy Jackson for not being ‘consistent.’
Outgoing American Idol contestant Katie Stevens has admitted that she and some of the other female contestants got very close during their time on the show. Singling out previous contestants Lacey Brown and Paige Miles, the 17 year old singer told USA Today:

The show received over 34 million votes this week, the highest of the season so far. However, it wasn’t enough for Andrew or Katie and with the judges only save used last week for Michael Lynche, the pair knew there was no hope for them at all.
Before Katie Stevens took to the American Idol stage last night, we had never heard the Elvis song Baby, what You Want Me To Do? But we truly loved the concept that Katie Stevens is confused by the judges’ comments and the song is asking them what they want from her!
