It’s been reported today that yesterday’s X Factor USA auditions had to be halted after a bolt of lightening struck the show’s production truck, scaring the bejesus out of everyone in it.
According to TMZ, the lightening strike also cut power to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, in North Carolina, where the auditions were being held, forcing the show’s producers to halt filming.
Sources there reported that when the lights in the arena went out, judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato “freaked out” and retreated to their trailers.

X Factor UK judge, Tulisa Contostavlos has commented that she thinks Simon Cowell’s decision to make ‘fragile’ Britney Spears a judge on the US version of the show, X Factor USA.
According to Digital Spy, the N-Dubz singer, who is currently screening auditions in her second series in the job, has branded Britney, who has had a series of very public, shall we say episodes, as a “wild Card”.

Simon Cowell must be really starting to wonder if the whopping £10million he paid out to get Britney Spears as a judge on the X Factor USA was worth it, as the short-fused-live-wire has gone AWOL from the auditions for a second time!
Not just this, but, according to the Sun newspaper, Cowell is receiving worrying daily updates from show producers, informing him of the singers behaviour as well as concerns that she may crack, whilst he is currently recovering from bronchitis.

This week has seen Simon Cowell, LA Reid, newbie judge Britney Spears and guest judge Demi Lovato filming the first of this year’s X Factor USA audition in Texas…
And already, there’s been some controversy over Britney’s alleged walkout – after a hopeful “murdered” one of her tracks – and now it’s been revealed that Simon Cowell and LA Reid had to come to the defence of Demi when a wannabe insulted her.
Entertainmentwise reports that the fracas broke out when a 50 year old man sang a song that he dedicated to a 16 year old girl.
It was apparently a “sexually charged” performance that made Demi – and the rest of the judges – “uncomfortable.”
So after she voiced her opinions, which included telling the man he needed autotune, he apparently insulted her, prompting her to kick off rather royally it seems, before Simon Cowell told the man to get off the stage, and LA Reid added, “You need to leave. Now!” Read more & comment »

It would seem that all the speculation regarding Britney Spears participation in this years X Factor USA, it has finally been revealed that a contract has now been signed confirming her new judging role.
According to reports, the Womanizer singer will receive $15 million (£9.3m) for the season, sat next to Simon Cowell and LA Reid during the new series due to begin later in the year.
