It would seem as though her time on reality TV show Ladette to Lady was time wasted, as Holly Clements went on a drunken rampage and glassed a woman in Barbados.

Her victim, Dawn, told The Sun:

“I was covered in blood. I was too shocked to feel anything at first, but then I was in complete agony.

“She was drunk and acting like a madwoman. I was completely terrified.

“I’ve got a very deep two inch gash in my right cheek but it could have been much worse.

“I could have lost an eye or half my face.”

Dawn revealed that the attack was preceeded by Holly having a massive row with her boyfriend.

Dawn said: “He urged her to come to bed but she told him to ‘f*** off’ and he stormed out.

“She came up to me slurring her words and asked if I could take her to the toilets, which I refused.

“I told her she should go to bed. She snarled at me before calling me the c-word. The next thing I knew, she had grabbed a glass from a nearby table, smashed it on the bar and launched herself at me.”

MTV have announced that they are planning to make a US version of ITV! TV show, Ladette To Lady.

Donald Trump’s production firm and RDF USA will remake the format as an eight-part series.

MTV has said it wants to make more worthy “aspirational and inspirational” shows. They are even considering making a male version of the show!

In tonight’s Ladette to Lady, there’s romance in the air for Nicole, more drunken antics from tiny tearaway Holly, and the ladettes receive invitations to their first public event – the finals of the Yorkshire Nations Cup International Polo Tournament. One of the ladettes will be selected to present the Best Pony Award and make a short speech to mark the occasion, but glancing down the invitation Simone spies a possible disaster looming: “2000 people, 11am, Champagne…”

Hosting a polo party for the girls are none other than Guy Richie’s mum Lady Amber Leighton and the hoity toity Derek Laud from Big Brother.

Simone is showing signs of pre-speech nerves in the clip below, and displays her lack of general knowledge by identifying Winston Churchill as the “President or something…..”

This week in Ladette To Lady, the remaining girls wake up to find that Kelly has packed her bags and fled under the cover of darkness.

Her departure has incensed the staff. Mrs Shrager says: “We believed in her and she has thrown it back in our faces. They said they want to come and become ladies and this is the way we do it. It’s tough but we get results.”

As the four remaining ladettes efforts begin to wane, Principle Gill Harbord decides to spring the ultimate twist to stir up competition – the return of former ladette Louise Porter.

Notorious Scouse ladette from series two, Louise has been invited back to Egglestone Hall for a second chance. She showed natural aptitude in class last year, but booze was her downfall and she was expelled from the school after a drunken cat fight. She went on to become a lads’ mag glamour model complete with a boob job – much to the teachers disapproval.

“No repeats of last year,” says Louise upon her return. But Neema, Nicole, Holly and Simone don’t exactly welcome her with open arms and Louise is left feeling the outcast.

“It’s weird for me because I feel like I’ve come in to another group and I just have to try and change, it’s hard.”

The ladettes’ next challenge is a weekend away hosted by Lady Apsley at society country house Cliveden. The girls are set to join the bachelors for drinks beside the pool, then they will have to impress the cream of high society at a lavish drinks reception and dinner.

In preparation for Cliveden, the girls’ lessons include plucking and preparing wood pigeon – something Louise excels at, having done it once before already, much to the annoyance of the others.

Nicole says: “She’s just some stranger coming in, it’s different and it’s going to be getting used to her. Let’s just see what happens, she might get expelled again!”

But the touchpaper has been lit, and before long rebellion begins with the four ladettes drinking in the dorms whilst Louise works hard. Their punishment? A PE lesson at seven o’clock the next morning!

Despite a promising start it’s not long before Louise reverts back to her defiant ways and storms out of the PE lesson – refusing to take part in a punishment she didn’t deserve.

“It just feels like everyone just wants to go home,” says Louise “so I’m not being a kn*b head and putting myself through this.” Finally the ladettes see she’s one of them and win her round.

Next stop – Cliveden – and the girls, despite looking like ladies, hardly behave like them as Neema and Holly corrupt the boys in the Jacuzzi, and yet again more booze results in a game of spin the bottle.

The bachelors take a shine to busty blonde Louise much to Nicole’s displeasure, but in spite of all the unladylike behaviour there are two success stories of the weekend – Holly manages to redeem herself and stay sober over dinner, and Simone finally feels like she could transform in to a lady.

But for one ladette, the journey ends here, as yet again the teachers decide who will be leaving this week.

In Ladette To Lady episode three, Liverpool ladette Louise Porter is back! The notorious Scouse ladette from series two of Ladette to Lady rejoins the current series this Tuesday when she gets a second chance at becoming a lady. But glamour model Louise hasn’t changed her ways that much and is soon giving the teachers a run for their money for a second time.

In this clip the girls are woken up at 7am by deputy head teacher Mrs Shrager to do PE as their punishment for sneaking wine up to their rooms and drinking in the day. But Louise is not happy about being punished as she wasn’t even at the scene of the crime…

Tuesday 5th February 9:00pm – ITV1

This week on Ladette To Lady, the girls embark on yet another drunken party! Of course they are discovered….but what will their punishment be?

With two terms of transforming some of Britain’s most extreme ladettes into respectable ladies under their belt, the revered tutors at Eggleston Hall thought they had seen it all. But a third intake is set to be – by their own admission – their biggest challenge yet.

The famous finishing school opens its doors for a new term as its indomitable staff attempt to transform the most obnoxious and unrepentant ladettes they have ever seen.

In Programme Two the girls prepare to host a dinner party for their new acquaintances, the eligible bachelors, but a trip to the pub brings disastrous consequences and several of the girls are left questioning if they have what it takes to complete the course.

Before they can be taught to behave like ladies the girls must look like ladies, so a team of experts are brought in to make them over and attempt to explain the subtleties of ladylike grooming. Kelly is less than impressed by the suggestions of hairdresser Judy Russo complaining:

“I’m gonna look like an absolute cock. I’m known as Kelly with the long black swaying hair. Now I’m gonna be like, Kelly with short hair, look like Jodie f*cking Marsh.”

The teaching staff are of a different opinion and are so impressed by how lovely the ladettes look they decide that an unchaperoned trip to the pub is in order. Announcing the decision cooker teacher Rosemary Shrager warns: “now remember, you look like young ladies, you should act like young ladies. You’re ambassadors to Eggleston Hall, do not disgrace us”.

True to ladette form, her pleas fall on deaf ears and no sooner have the girls arrived at the pub than the shots are flowing resulting in Simone throwing up on the floor of the bar whilst Holly straddles a shocked looking local lad. Bouncer Kelly finally takes control and orders the girls home a mere ten minutes late to face a furious Rosemary Shrager.

Despite their outrageous behaviour at the pub, Holly and Simone are selected to be the hostesses for the ladettes’ dinner party, but both girls feel this is a dubious honour.

“We’re sort of like slaves,” comments Holly. “We shouldn’t have p*ssed about should we, that’s why they’ve given us this job” counters Simone.

Despite a few hiccups, dinner is a success. However, as the evening progresses so does the girls alcohol consumption, ending in disaster as the indignant batchelors are abandoned while Holly is put to bed by a notably softened Gill Harbord and Amber has a party of her own outdoors.

After an eventful week none of the girls are confident of their survival on evictions day, but a shocking revelation changes everything.

Episode two of Ladette To Lady will air on Tuesday the 29th of January on ITV1

Her parting words were: “I don’t wanna be a lady no more, I don’t like getting like, really like getting up, I like don’t like working and putting my mind to things. I just like doing what I want and doing things and stuff…”

Ladette to Lady, Tuesdays at 9pm on ITV1

The definition of car crash TV must be Ladette To Lady – something that’s absolute torture to watch, yet once you start watching it you can’t flick away to another channel.

Tonight was the first episode of the third series, and the voiceover lady announced the ladettes as the most lairy bunch to date. Practically beyond help.

And by God they were. Possibly the scariest creatures I’ve had the misfortune to see. Last years’ crowd seemed positively Princess Di by comparison. Think the sluttiest Big Brother contestant you’ve ever seen and multiply by 15.

However, I couldn’t help wondering about the way the show is constructed. Both in the selection of candidates and in the way they’re ‘coached’ by the frightening panel of experts.

First: the contestants are shocking. We’ve seen shows like Booze Britain that show how binge drinking is eroding society. On the face of it, you’ve got some very common lasses grouped together and mentored by three older women who they can’t possibly relate to on either an age or class level.

It looks like the producers have trawled Britain’s sink estates for the worst examples of ladette culture, and are putting them up against these women who clearly look down on them from the start. Is it a class thing? Or is it an age thing?

Second: the training method are appalling. You’ve got a band of rebellious girls together, looking for opportunities to clash with authority. They can’t relate to these upper-middle class, older women.

And the mentors use nothing but criticism. They line the girls up and give them a rundown of how they let themselves down. But there doesn’t seem to be any positive reinforcement – “Nicole, we noticed you did very well in [name of task] this week. Good work. Next week, we want you to work on your [give contestant a goal for next week]. Congratulations, we’re very proud of you.”

Plus, it must be humiliating for them to have their failures read out in front of each other. Pardon the pop psychology, but that no doubt widens the chasm between the girls and their mentors and probably makes it more important that they misbehave together. Wouldn’t it make more sense to take each one aside and give them individual guidance? It would build better relations between the ladettes and mentors.

But that obviously would have dire consequences for the show.

Ladette To Lady works because of that disconnect between the girls and their mentors. It’s also classic reality TV in that it takes these girls out of their comfort zone and forces them to adopt a different lifestyle. The magic happens when you’re watching them struggle to adapt.

I guess I’m just feeling guilty because I like it so much! Must try not to judge though! What about you folks? Is it a guilty pleasure for you too?

The ladies are quick to point out that this year’s group of Ladette’s is the roughest, lewdest and dirtiest ever! I can’t wait!
