Laila Rouass may have just been eliminated from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing but she has been ordered back into rehearsals as bosses fear that Ali Bastian may not be able to perform this week.

Ali injured her ankle two weeks ago but after Saturday’s final had to keep her foot in an ice bucket for an hour as the pain became too much to bear.

Insiders now fear that Ali may be forced to pull out of this week’s semi final and have asked Laila and Anton to be ready to step in at the last minute if needed.

A source told The Sun: “Ali is still in pain. Because she is training so hard she hasn’t had time to recuperate, so one slight slip could force her out.

“If she pulls out there will not be enough for the semi-final so Laila is still training.”

The BBC’s Rick Behari said: “We have a number of contingencies in place in case anything happens to any of the remaining couples.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Laila Rouass has admitted that it was right she and Anton Du Beke left the show on Saturday night.

Laila told The Sun that se would have been embarrassed if anyone else after her routines went ‘terribly wrong.’

She said: “It just went terribly wrong. I knew we were not going to get the votes and we deserved to go.

“It would have been embarrassing if we had stayed and another person went. It would have been unfair.”

Actress Laila Rouass tonight became the twelfth celebrity to be voted off the seventh series of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing.

In week twelve and the quarter finals of the competition, the four remaining celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners took to the floor to perform both a Latin and a Ballroom dance. And with the competition hotting up, for the first time this series the couples had to perform and be judged on two individual dances.

Also this week, world renowned ballerina Darcey Bussell joined the judging panel as a guest judge to give her opinion on the remaining four couples. And with five judges on the panel, the couples received a score out of 50 for each of their two dances. These scores were then added together to create a final score out of 100.

After tonight’s performances, the combination of the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes left Laila and her professional partner Anton Du Beke in the bottom two and facing the dance off with actor Ricky Whittle and his professional partner Natalie Lowe.

Laila and Anton then performed their American Smooth to My Kind Of Girl and Ricky and Natalie performed their Foxtrot to Too Marvelous For Words for a second time for the judges’ deciding vote.

Making their decision on who to save, the judges said.

Craig Revel Horwood: “I am going for the most dynamic couple this evening and that is Ricky and Natalie.”

Darcey Bussell: “The couple I would like to save, that did the most perfect performance just now, is Ricky and Natalie

Alesha Dixon: “Well Laila I think you actually came out and did a much better job that time around, but for me the best dance of the night – Ricky and Natalie, I want to see you next week.”

With three out of five judges’ votes going to Ricky and Natalie, Laila and Anton were out of the competition, making Bruno Tonioli and Head Judge Len Goodman’s votes unnecessary.

Disgraced Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke, has been rowing with his partner Laila Rouass again, just weeks after he called her a ‘p**i.’

The Sun reports that the pair first argued on Saturday. It was a row so fierce that the pair missed their rehearsal slot and a BBC executive had to be called to calm Laila down.

A source said: “She got so upset she ended up in tears in his office.”

Their second row occurred when Anton made a crude comment about her backless catsuit. After achieving a low score for their samba Anton said: “Pop the frock on back to front – we’ll all have a lovely time.”

Tess Daily exclaimed: “Anton! Behave please.” And host Bruce Forsyth told viewers: “He’s a fool.” The source said: “Laila was stunned.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “Laila and Anton are getting on great.

“Rehearsal schedules are always subject to change on the day for any number of reasons from issues with costumes, hair, make up, injuries or script changes.”

Strictly Come Dancing professional, Anon Du Beke, has apologised on live TV for calling his dance partner a ‘paki.’

Appearing on BBC Two’s ‘It Takes Two’, Anton said he felt “stupid, embarrassed and mortified.”

He added:

“I feel embarrassed. It was a stupid thing to do and a stupid thing to say.

“I’d like to reiterate my apology to Laila and to everybody on the show and to everyone who watches the show. I’m mortified about it.”

Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton du Beke, is said to have called his partner Laila Rouass a “Paki”.

Anton reportedly made the comment, during a training session and was referring to Laila’s recent spray tan. The Footballers Wives actress has a Moroccan father and an Indian mother.

Anton has since apologised saying: “I am not a racist and I do not use racist language. During our rehearsals, Laila and I have exchanged a great deal of banter – entirely in jest – and two weeks ago there was an occasion where this term was used between the two of us.

“There was no racist intent whatsoever. I apologise unreservedly for any offence my actions might have caused.”

Laila added: “I accept his apology. I am really enjoying the show and dancing with Anton and I hope that we can go as far as possible in the competition.”

Anton du Beke thinks that his new partner Laila Rouass may help him get closer to this year’s final of Strictly Come Dancing.

“To be honest with you, if they’d said to me what sort of partner do you want this year, I’d say a fella, because they do so well!” Anton told the TV Times.

“But working with Laila this time is exciting, because she oozes potential.”

On the changes to this years Strictly format and Alesha Dixon as a new judge Anton said:

“I don’t mind a gentle evolution. As long as they don’t change me, I don’t care what they do! Alesha will be fine. I’m looking forward to what she says.

“But she better not criticise me or I’ll poke her in the arm with a big stick!”

Laila’s appearance in this year’s Strictly sees her reunited with her fellow footballer’s wife Zoe Lucker who played her arch-nemesis in the series.

Talking about her chances, Laila says: “I’d absolutely love to win but wouldn’t want to say whether or not I can. Come back to me in the first week, I’ll know then! Whatever happens and however far I go with this thing, I just want to enjoy the journey.”
