The Valleys: Lateysha Grace says series 2 makes TOWIE look like Downton Abbey and cast want a drink-off with Geordie Shore!

With the second series of the MTV reality show The Valley’s hitting our screens tonight, one of its main stars, Lateysha Grace has revealed that we are in for a treat, and that the new series will make its rival reality show, TOWIE, look like Downton Abbey!

Grace, who stripped down in a photo shoot for famous lad’s mag ZOO, explained how fans can expect to see more drama, drinking and sex on the new series:

Last night saw the final episode of the current series of MTV’s The Valleys, and for some of its over-excitable cast members, it may be the last time they see Cardiff, or indeed each other.

A few weeks ago nine youngsters, with dreams of changing their lives for the better, were pulled out of the deep dark depths of the Welsh Valleys and plopped down in the middle of fast-pacing Cardiff with a chance to turn those dreams into realities.

The Valley’s Lateysha hits back at Twitter trolls and bosses defend show after just one episode!

Only one episode of The Valleys has been shown so far, but already it has come under huge criticism from the public, with some of them even putting their twitter troll hats on to publicly abuse some of the cast!

Lateysha Grace was the first to be targeted by haters after the first episode aired earlier this week.

This morning, I attended the press screening and cast meet and greet for new MTV show The Valleys, and if I’m honest, I was expecting the show to be – another – bit of TV fluff; uninteresting dross for the mainly brainless and/or brain dead…

However, quite aside from the fact that The Valleys really doesn’t have an equal in anything else that’s on TV right now, what it does have is a rather refreshing, unapologetic honesty and an innate, rich vein of humour running right through it.

Unlike some of its genre’s peers, you simply can’t engineer or script what The Valleys has; it’s either there or it isn’t, and in The Valleys, let me tell you boyo, it’s there, in spades.

And while yes, there is talk of fake tans, fake boobs, hair extensions and so on, and comparisons between The Valleys and Geordie Shore are inevitable, not least because they air on the same channel, the cast of Valleys are so energised and energising, not to mention downright funny, it takes no time at all to warm to them, whereas with other shows of its ilk, I often don’t warm to the cast, at all… Read more & comment »

MTV unveils cast of The Valleys: The Welsh Geordie Shore!

Bosses at MTV have finally unveiled the cast of the new Welsh equivalent of Geordie Shore, The Valleys!

According to the official MTV website, The Valleys will follow the lives of nine young adults from South Wales as they relocate to Cardiff to try and turn their career dreams into reality.
