Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Leo Sayer Loses His Temper

Leo Sayer - Celebrity Big BrotherOn tonights Celebrity Big Brother we saw the real footage of Leo Sayer’s departure from the Big Brother house. My God was he angry!

He spent ages cursing and swearing at the security staff, the producers and anyone else who happened to be nearby. He was extremely volatile and if he was taller, he could have even been considered threatening.

After seeing this side of Leo I am glad he left the house. He has obviously been putting on a front for the last few weeks and he was so rude to the female producers and so disrespectful I was amazed.

Bye Bye Leo, hope you lose your fee!

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: So you’re leaving….

.. in the morning (well, it was yesterday at 1.15pm)
..on the early train (ok, using a rake, you’ll break open the ’secret’ door in the garden).. Apologies for abusing one of Leo’s great songs :)

Tsk at little Leo Sayer, denying us the chance to boo and jeer him as he was duly evicted from the house. Instead, he saw his bottom and engineered an argument that would allow him to leave the house with his dignity (?) and ego intact. How on earth was he still granted an Eviction Show interview? Surely (and I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong) if you walk, you don’t talk, at least not to Davina. Perhaps she just wanted to make sure he knew that if he’d stayed, he would have been evicted last night, instead of Carole.

Yes, the second person to be officially evicted from the Big Brother house was Carole Malone. I’ve never really warmed too much to Carole, although she wasn’t the evil bitchy cow I thought she would be. It’ll be interesting to see just what she has to say about the whole experience in the Sunday Mirror in the morning – and hopefully she’ll reveal which celebrity she felt was ‘constantly acting, and resorted to tears too often’. Just a bit of a guess, but my money is on Shilpa.

Carole also didn’t seem to understand that if Leo had stayed in, it would have been him sat there talking to Davina. I’m fairly sure that once that bit of info sinks in she’ll have a few scathing comments to make about him.

At least Dirk survived the chop, even though his behaviour over the whisky was a tad bizarre. I’m still hopeful he will win, but he needs to distance himself from Shilpa, who is becoming more and more manipulative as the show progresses. The house is also looking a little bare – will BB be bringing in more housemates to replace the 3 who have walked? And does this number of absconders spell the death knell for future series of Celebrity Big Brother?

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Live Eviction Show!

Celebrity Big BrotherTonight is the night of the first Celebrity Big Brother 2007 eviction, where the evictee will have been nominated by his/her fellow housemates.

Up for the chop are Dirk Benedict, Carole Malone and Leo Sayer. I am definitely hoping ot see the back of Leo the irritating…I would like to see how Dirk plans to woo Shilpa if given the chance.

Celebrity Big Brother: Leo Sayer Walks Out!

Leo Sayer - Celebrity Big BrotherLeo Sayer has been threatening to leave the Big Brother house for days, part of me has been wishing he would stop talking about it and just go!

Well my wish was granted this afternoon when I got the newsflash that leo Sayer had escaped from the Big Brother compound.

It is alledged that Leo left after Big Brother refused to give him new underwear. He told Big brother it would be “demeaning” for him to have to wash his smalls in front of the others.

The phone lines for Carole Malone and Dork Benedict have been reopened and Channel 4 have confirmed that there will still be an eviction tonight!

Check back here for more details on Leo’s departure!

Carole Malone, Dirk Benedict and Leo Sayer Up For Eviction!

Dirk Benedict - Celebrity Big BrotherThe nominations were made, and the results are in!

Dirk Benedict, leo sayer and Carole Malone will all face the public vote and one will be evicted tomorrow.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I was quite surprised to hear that Dirk was nominated. I would have put money on Shilpa Shetty being up, many of the girls seem to dislike her and I can’t see why anyone would nominate Dirk at all.

But there you go….watch this space for all other Celebrity Big Brother news and gossip!

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Did the wrong Jack go?

So we’ve seen our first eviction of Celebrity Big Brother, and surprise surprise it was one of the Goody Clan. What was a surprise was that it was Jackiey, rather than Jack.

Yes, we can all heave a sigh of relief that the excrutiatingly uncomfortable antics of Jade’s mum will hopefully fade from our memories as she fades from our screens. So why the surprise? How on earth did Jack amass any votes at all? I don’t think I’ve seen him speak, I certainly haven’t seen him do anything, so I can’t believe that people picked up their phones and voted for him.

Perhaps spelling Jackiey’s name right caused problems? Perhaps many lost the will to live and just shortened it to Jack? Well, it would explain a lot!

Having said that, I don’t think the experience was any good at all for Jackiey. She seemed to be constantly on edge, very paranoid, easily upset and quick to pick up the wrong end of the stick. The others seemed to lose patience with her very quickly, for instance when she was trying to sort out the takeaway order, or when she asked for lemon juice. Perhaps she seemed like an easy target? After all, even Jade didn’t do much to defend her in the house. (Mind you, there is absolutely no way I would go into Big Brother with my mother. And she’s relatively normal and a very intelligent woman. My kids have also said I’d be their idea of a nightmare housemate)

The eviction itself was very cruel, and not just for Jackiey. Why couldn’t BB announce it while they were sat at the dining table, and at least let the woman have 30seconds to put her shoes on and say goodbye? Why am I even surprised after watching the horrible way BB evicted Vanessa two years ago? It looks like there will be a variation on the same theme today when Cleo and Carole receive their punishment for talking about nominations. At least for them its just to go up for eviction, not actually be evicted.

I’m seriously hoping that Leo Sayer will be up for eviction after the nominations. It looks like he’s winding up most people in the house with his constant self-aggrandizement – its been a long time since I saw someone that far up their own backside (well, not since Sezar, perhaps)

One final word on Jackiey’s eviction.. I only wish it had been before she inflicted that swimsuit on the civilised world…

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Jo O’Meara and Leo Sayer Fail Task

Jo O'Meara - Celebrity Big BrotherThe task that caused two housemates to walk out has finally ended and the class divide has been removed.

There are no longer any servants or masters and our celebrities can join together as one big happy family once more.

Its not all dandy in the Big Brother house though, as two of the servants failed the task and therefore didn’t get any pay…that’s harsh!

When Carole was given the pay packets to deliver to the servants, both Jo’s and Leo’s was missing. It was revealed that Jo faile the task as she allowed Ken to prepare his own snack and leo fell asleep when he was supposed to be on night duty.

The group still got a decent prize though, Big Brother rewarded the 12 with a luxury shopping budget of £4 per person for the next six days – a total of £333.

They will also get a takeaway of their choice this evening.

Celebrity Big Brother: Donny Tourette Wouldn’t Touch Jo O’Meara!

Donny Tourette - Celebrity Big BrotherDonny Tourette has revealed in an exclusive interview with the Mirror that he wouldn’t touch S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara, even if he was sex starved!

He commented:

“When I first saw Jo O’Meara I thought: “She’s rough – but maybe if I’m sex starved after three weeks in here I would.

“But then she opened her mouth and I thought: “No, even if I was sex starved I wouldn’t’.”

Donny’s taste seems to run to older womnen, and though he doesn’t remember trying to snog Cleo Rocos, he does say that he wishes she has reciprocated!

He said: “Cleo’s the hottest person in there. She has something about her that is really sexy. Danielle is cute, every guy in the country probably sees that. But Cleo’s hot, man.

“It’s not that I’ve got a thing for older women. I don’t have an ideal type. Personality is far sexier than a fake pair of t*ts and Cleo’s got a red hot personality.

It seems as though Donny’s penchant for older women has even helped him bed Leo Sayers partner……poor Leo has a lot to cope with when he gets out!

Celebrity Big Brother: Donny Tourette Beds Partner Of Leo Sayer

Leo Sayer - Celebrity Big BrotherThe Sun has revealed today that Donny Tourette has allegedly bedded the common law wife of Leo sayer on many occasions.

Donny said: “We got to know Leo and his missus Donatella well when my brother and me were promoting our first band The Lost Boys.

Speaking to a pal, he added: “They knew a guy who was helping us out. We were always getting invited around there for drinks and stuff. Leo had a ping pong table we enjoyed playing on from time to time. It was obvious there was a bit of attraction between his missus and me, and one thing led to the other.

“One time my brother Dirk was playing Leo at a game of table tennis when I was upstairs in the bedroom giving his lady a seeing to.

“She was enjoying it so much she started suddenly screaming out in pleasure.

“My brother says it was so loud Leo completely missed his shot and just gave him this sort of quizzical look. I think it was a pretty vital point in the game as well. They just continued playing afterwards as if nothing had happened.

It is now clear why Donny wanted to be first to leave Celebrity Big Brother this year, he wanted the maximum amount of time to sell his dirty stories!

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Just Call Me Dickie

Donny Tourette: Loud mouthed prat or frightened little boy hiding behind his stage persona?

I know that Mr Tourette’s whole point of being is being debated on the forum, but I’m hoping its all an act. If he can just tone it all down a bit, he could end up being very entertaining.. and its worth hearing his foul mouthed outbursts just to see the look on Danielle Lloyd’s face.

He’s already rubbing his fellow contestants up the wrong way – I don’t care what they say in the Diary Room (its not like the real Big Brother – at this point they’re still very aware that they have to project and protect their public personas) Jermaine Jackson MUST be horrified at Donny’s antics – gobbing in the hot tub, feet on the counters, stubbing out his fags wherever he wants too (including on previously mentioned food preparation areas), weeing in the shower. Leo wasn’t overly impressed at Donny’s nakedness in bed. Danielle isn’t impressed full stop. Jo O’Meara declaring she’d sleep on the floor rather than share a bed with ’someone like that’. Ken Russell having his hair ruffled on a permanent basis.

Donny could go one of two ways. He could irritate the life out of the viewing public – and be voted out just after the vacuous Danielle.. or find his own little niche in the GBP’s heart, and be in there til the end.

But who is impressing me so far in the house? You can see all my initial feelings about them at Dreamy’s Blog.. but here’s a brief run down. Jo seems down to earth… Dirk ‘Face’ Benedict (Donny used the wrong f word there, I think) is my early winner (Ok, ok, so thats a hang over from all those pre-pubescent fantasies I used to have about him, when he was in Battlestar Galactica and the A-Team)… Leo Sayer and Ian Watkins need to chill and stop trying so hard… Cleo is marvellous – my other half shared Dirk’s sentiments about it being worth jumping in the hot tub fully clothed to have her look after him, Ken may be too quirky to come across well on the telly, which will be a shame. The rest need a little time to find their niche and settle into things.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how they get on when the initial ‘euphoria’ wears off :)

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Leo Sayer Tipped To Win!

Leo Sayer - Celebrity Big BrotherEx pop star Leo Sayer has been tipped by UK bookies to win this years series of Celebrity Big Brother, therefore beating the 10 other contestants.

Bookmakers named Sayer as the 4-1 favourite, ahead of Benedict and Watkins, joint second favourites at 5-1.

“This mob look the motliest of motley crews ever assembled,” said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Meet The Celebrities!

Well it’s started! Celebrity Big Brother is now underway and for once the tabloids seemed to be pretty spot on in their predictions this year.

The Celebrity Big Brother housemates of 2007 are as follows (click on their names to read their full profiles and biographies!):

Jermaine Jackson: Jermaine made a big deal of the fact that he is hyper clean, hyper germ conscious and doesn’t know if he can survive without his servants and cook…A bit of the David Gest in him then!

Danielle Lloyd
: Danielle was crowned Miss Great Britain earlier this year, only to be stripped of her crown and title when it emerged that she was dating one of the contests judges Teddy Sheringham.

Ken Russell: A famous British Film Director, Ken has received 3 BAFTA’s for his work and directed films such as ‘Tommy’ and ‘Women In Love’ in his heyday! Ken emerged from his car singing a rather out of tune version of ‘Singin In The Rain’. He had to be helped both up and down the staircases by Davina, at one point I wondered if he would make it as far as the living room. I have heard some cruel people comment (though it definitely wasn’t me!) that Ken could be the first person to die on Big Brother. But that would be a step too far wouldn’t it!

Jo O’Meara: Jo is best known for her time as lead singer of pop group S Club 7. She also appeared last year on BBC’s Just The Two Of Us as the professional half of a singing duo. Jo declared that she was absolutely terrified of entering the house and didn’t want to meet anyone “horrible”.

Leo Sayer: Singing legend who produced hits like ‘When I Need You’. Leo thinks he will be especially good at cheering up the room in the Big Brother house.

Shilpa Shetty
: Shilpa is a huge Indian, Bollywood actress and can’t travel anywhere in India without a huge entourage. She is recognised everywhere she goes and says that it would scare her if no one recognised her. She walked into the BB house and guess what….no one had a clue who she was!

Carole Malone
: Carole is a columnist for The Mirror and is more used to slagging off people in reality TV shows than taking part in one. Carole says that she doesn’t approve of people who are famous just for being on reality shows….or of WAGS!

Donny Tourette: Donny is the lead singer from British rock band Tower Of London, though he is probably more famous for his fling with Peaches Geldof. Donny entered the house tonight to a chorus of boos, to which he replied “F**K OFF!”. When Davina tried to steer him into the house, he yanked himself away from her, leaving her a bit unsteady, at which point the security men stepped in and hurried him along. Davina revealed that he smelt like a brewery…..I hope he is first to be evicted.

Ian Watkins (AKA H): Ian is best known as H from 90s pop band Steps. He wanted to go on Celebrity Big Brother as he is aware that everyones perception of him is “that blonde knob from Steps” and he wants to show the public that he has grown up and is no longer blonde! He is most dreading the crotch shots in the house and wants to make some wicked new friends.

Cleo Rocos: Best known for her role in Kenny Everett’s BBC series and for her close friendship with Kenny. Cleo admits that she is always nauseatingly happy and that she likes her men “old, ill and loaded!”

Dirk Benedict: Most famous for his roles in Battlestar Galactica and as Face in the 80s series The A Team. Dirk commented “Women thre themselves at me and I got very adept at catching, but I’m not very good at keeping!” Dirk revealed that he would like to meet a special lady in the house, but not one young enough to be his daughter!

Celebrity Big Brother 2007: Profile Of Leo Sayer

Leo Sayer (born in Shoreham-by-Sea on May 21, 1948) is a performing artist whose singing career has spanned four decades.

Life and career

Leo Sayer - Celebrity Big BrotherHe was born Gerard Hugh Nolan at Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, England, and he has had huge success with his single and album releases, in both the UK and U.S.. He was initially discovered by David Courtney who co managed him with the singer-turned-manager, Adam Faith. Sayer began his music career co-writing songs with David Courtney, including “Giving It All Away”, which gave Roger Daltrey of The Who his first hit as a soloist in 1973.

That same year Sayer began his career as a recording artist. At the time of his initial chart breakthrough in Britain, with his debut hit “The Show Must Go On”, he wore a pierrot style outfit and make-up, but dropped it soon afterwards, and his now distinctive curly hair is widely recognisable. The name Leo was given him by Courtney, inspired by the star sign and lion mane. In 1976, Sayer recorded three Beatles songs, “I Am the Walrus”, “Let It Be” and “The Long and Winding Road”, for the ill advised and ill fated documentary All This and World War II.

His subsequent hits included, “Long Tall Glasses”; “Orchard Road.” In 1977, Leo Sayer decided to move into disco and due to this his popularity skyrocketed almost overnight. His hits from this period include: “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” (a U.S. Number one): the romantic ballad “When I Need You”, which reached Number one in both the UK and the US in 1977; and remakes of Bobby Vee’s “More Than I Can Say” (his fourth UK Number 2 hit, and in the U.S., Number 2 pop and Number one in the adult contemporary chart); and Buddy Holly’s “Raining In My Heart”. In the US, three of his singles – “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing,” “When I Need You,” and “More Than I Can Say” – were certified gold.

Sayer made an appearance on The Muppet Show during the third season (second show), when he sang his hit “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing”.

He also provided the soundtrack for the English-language version of the French-Belgian animated film “The Missing Link” (1980).

In 1990, he contributed to the last studio collaboration between Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, the album Freudiana, performing “I Am A Mirror”.

More recently in 2000, “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” was featured in the hit movie Charlie’s Angels, and was on the accompanying soundtrack album.

Sayer’s debut UK hit, “The Show Must Go On,” was covered by Three Dog Night for the U.S. market and reached Number four on the Billboard charts in 1974. Plus Phil Collins covered Sayer’s song “I Can’t Stop Loving You” (originally penned and recorded by Don Gibson in 1957), for his 2002 album Testify. It reached Number one on the U.S. adult contemporary chart.

In 2005, he moved to Sydney, Australia, but on February 12, 2006, made a surprise return to Number one in the UK Singles Chart, with Meck’s remix of “Thunder In My Heart”. He has also appeared in the Australian comedy, Stupid, Stupid Man.

Leo Sayer: At His Very Best, a career spanning compilation was released in the UK on 6 March 2006. It exclusively features the Meck single, alongside Leo Sayer classics such as, “When I Need You” and “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing”.
