Leona Lewis has revealed that she’d love to be a mentor on this year’s X Factor.
Leona, who of course won the show in 2006, is to sing on the show this year, but she said she’d enjoy a “bigger role” on the series.
She added that she would like to offer any help she can to the acts who make the live shows, because she of course has done it herself.
She explained, “I always go on the show and sing, but I want to ask Simon Cowell for a bigger role.
“I couldn’t be a judge this year as I’ve been busy working on my new album.
“I already know I’m going to be performing on the show this year but I’d like to do something different, maybe a mentor instead… Read more & comment »

Have a look at our pick of the two worst examples of style from past X Factor contestants this week.
First we have Leona Lewis. The diva in the making has not impressed us on the red carpet recently. We like her new fringe and think that she is quite stunning usually. But the 2006 X Factor winner has gone through a style transformation – and not for the better!
Our fashion site did an article a few weeks ago about her obsession with colourful bra tops – one in the shape of lips and another in a huge yellow bow! That was the beginning. Now we have spotted Leona on the red carpet at the Genesis Awards in LA in a strange, strange dress. Our StyleJacking editor sums it up:
Leona arrived at the Genesis Awards 25th Anniversary in LA wearing this horse inspired dress, complete with a white main in the form of fringes.
That was bad enough but then we spotted this photo of Katie Waissel, 2010 X Factor contestant, doing a Jedward! Waissel was spotted out and about before the X FActor tour. Her hair is gravity defying!
Have a look and tell us what you think! Like or loathe?

Leona Lewis is reportedly planning to cut the big power ballads out of her third album and take her music in a more dancey direction.
The 25 year old singer finished first on the 2006 series of The X Factor and is best known for hard hitting emotional numbers like ‘Bleeding Love’ and ‘Run’. However she is keen to leave the warbling behind and insiders say that Simon Cowell wants her to move in the direction of Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna.
A source told The Sun:

We have been saying for more than a year now that Leone Lewis needs to start putting out some new music, so we’re delighted to hear that her third album is finally on the horizon.
We had worried that SYCO was neglecting the former X Factor winner, much in the way they did Shayne Ward, but the ‘I Got You’ singer has confirmed that she is currently working on her followup album to 2007′s Spirit and 2009′s Echo.
“I’m really, really excited about it,” she told Access Hollywood.

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out in support of former X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
The songstress shocked photographers on the red carpet last week, when she showed up to several events wearing daring gowns that she had designed herself.
She faced a LOT of criticism, especially for her yellow bow dress, but reality TV star Kelly Osbourne says she loved the fact that Leona took a ‘fashion risk.’
Writing in her weekly Closer magazine column, Kelly said:
