With two series of The X Factor running simultaneously this year, Simon Cowell is going to need a few more hands on deck and a few more stars on his judging panels. One woman who thinks she’d be perfect for the job is former show winner Leona Lewis.
The 25 year old singer finished first on the 2006 series of the reality TV show and yesterday admitted that she’d live to bring her experience to the table and pass it on to future contestants.
Leona met Simon Cowell’s ex Terri Seymour on the red carpet of the Women’s Cancer Research Fund event and when asked -”If Simon came to you and offered you a job on The X Factor, would you do it?” – Lewis replied:

Leona Lewis loves Los Angeles.
The British singer spends a lot of time in the US city for her music career and is a huge fan of the lifestyle.
She said: “It’s really outdoorsy and I love that. It’s always sunny and I loved going on horse trails and hiking in the canyons.
“At first, I didn’t like Los Angeles – it’s so vast and you have to drive everywhere. Everyone has this perception that I’m over there a lot, but it’s just for work. My life is in London.”

I think unless Rebecca Ferguson does something mind-blowingly stunning on X Factor this weekend, she’s very unlikely to win this year’s competition.
She’s got her followers, sure. But if we’d wanted a diva to stand behind a microphone and belt out a big song in a pretty frock, well, we’d have hired Leona Lewis. Right?

X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson has asked people to stop comparing her to former show winner Leona Lewis.
The Liverpool mum of two wowed the judges last night with her rendition of ‘Why Don’t You Do Right’ and afterwards Simon Cowell raved:
This is the night you turned into a star. I actually can’t fault any part of that. This is so exciting. I read something Elton John said in the papers, which was a really bitchy thing to say, he said that these shows don’t produce stars. Well Elton if you’re not watching, I’m going to send you this tape and you can take back what you said.
