One Direction have pre-recorded their special live performance for tonight’s Dancing On Ice live show.

Earlier this evening, the X Factor group took to the centre rink to perform their debut single “What Makes You Beautiful” and followed it up with a rendition of their newest track, ‘One Thing.’

They were accompanied by skating legends Torvill and Dean, who choreographed a special routine which was performed by them, the celebrities and their professional partners, while One Direction perform.

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne have been busy boys over the past few weeks, having only returned to the UK two days ago from their promotional trip to America.

While in the states they recorded a guest appearance on Nickelodeon show iCarly and demand to meet them and buy their new record was so huge, that the boys’ management decided to bring forward the release date for the debut album by one week.

For tonight’s Dancing On Ice performance, ITV bosses were forced to triple their security staff, in order to cope with the hundreds of screaming teenage girls that inevitably showed up to meet their teen idols.

It seems that the boys of One Direction may be a bit more than just bandmates, after it was suggested that the singers all rallied around to comfort Harry Styles after his split from Caroline Flack this week.

Insiders have claimed that the 17 year old hunk was devastated when the Xtra Factor presenter told him she wanted a break and Liam Payne suggested that they have had one or two late nights, as they tried to cheer their friend up.

A few hours after Harry took to Twitter to reveal that he and his older woman were no longer dating, Liam wrote on the micro-blogging site:

‘Tonight really is up all night.’

After the big split, bookies have began predicting who will be next in Caroline’s love life.

One Direction had a bit of a hair raising experience earlier this week.

The boyband – consisting of Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik & Louis Tomlinson – had a close call when they were travelling together in a people carrier to one of their concerts and a car came crashing into the back of their vehicle.

Thankfully the five hunky singers are all A-OK and their beautiful little faces were not marked or even scratched during the experience but insiders say that the boys were all a little shaken and shocked afterwards.

Sources say that while none of the stars or their team were seriously injured in the crash, they did suffer from varying degrees of whiplash afterwards and considered cancelling their next show. However, being the troupers that they are, the singers instead just decided to take it easy but go ahead with the concert as planned.

One told The Sun:

“They came close to cancelling because of the crash but the boys didn’t want to let down their avid fans. As soon as they got the all-clear they decided to go ahead with the gig. It’s lucky dancing in their live shows is kept to a minimum so it did not put extra stress on their bodies.”

As if it isn’t enough that she is dating one of the hottest boys on the British music scene at the minute, Danielle Peazer gets gifts too!

The lucky beauty took to Twitter this week, to reveal what a perfect boyfriend One Direction’s Liam Payne is and revealed that he had bought her some special surprise gifts.

The girl – who first met Payne on last year’s series of The X factor – uploaded a picture of an Alexander McQueen package and commented:

‘So amazing to get home and find this sat there on the sofa… ’

She added:

‘Such a lucky girl to find these inside!! Not 1 or 2. But 3! So happy and feeling very special xxx.’

She later personally thanked the floppy haired singer, writing:

‘I’m wearing my red A.M scarf…thank you xxxx.’

We don’t know about you, but we can’t help thinking that Danielle is being a little bit greedy. But then….we’re probably just insanely jealous.

One Direction have topped the charts with their single ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ released a best selling book and are about to release their debut album, but things don’t stop there for the X Factor boyband.

Music mogul Simon Cowell has also arranged for them to make an on the road movie, which will follow the teenage hunks as they tour the UK, performing, meeting fans and signing books and records.

The film will be aired on ITV2 later this year and insiders say Cowell himself has paid £150,000 – half of the cost of making the movie.

It is being produced by James Corden’s company Fulwell73 and executives are expecting the show to be a huge hit with viewers.

A source told The Sun: “One Direction’s story is pretty incredible — from X Factor losers to chart-toppers in less than a year.

“We have been following the lads ever since they first embarked on their plans for pop world domination.”

The movie won’t just feature the boys in Britain either. They will be followed to America, where they are planning to film the video for their second single and meet with various record executives about signing a stateside deal.

The insider added:

“The cameras follow them to the US where they worked on their first album and got into all sorts of mischief. The lads are pretty candid and we’re sure it will be a hit among their army of fans.”

Record breaking band sensation One Direction have teamed up with Nokia to create the first ever fan’s phone, available to pre-order from 19th September.

The limited edition Nokia C3 and C202 handsets will come loaded with brand new and exclusive One Direction ringtones, wallpapers, interviews, videos and stickers.

The launch of the new phones follows the release of their first single, ‘What Makes you Beautiful’, which has broken the Sony Music record for pre-sales of a debut single.

The handsets will be on sale nationwide exclusively in Carphone Warehouse from 4th October. The band will be making a special in store appearance at the start of October to launch the phones and meet fans.

Speaking on behalf of the band, Liam said: “Our fans are always on their phones, so we thought this would be a great thing to do. It’s the first time fans have had a chance to have a phone customised by their favourite band. We had a brilliant time creating all the ringtones and videos for the phones, especially the paint fight!”

Liam Payne’s parents have revealed that they will be travelling to London this weekend, to join their son when he lands his first number one single.

One Direction seem set to top the UK single charts tomorrow with their debut release ‘What Makes Your Beautiful’ and it seems that Liam and his bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zain Malik are planning quite a knees up.

The track is well on course to become one of the year’s fastest-selling singles and Liam’s mum and dad – Geoff and Karen – have revealed that all the family and parents will be in London, when the chart position is revealed.

Geoff told The Express and Star:

“Me and Liam’s mum are extremely proud of all of their boys, who we regard as extended family.

“We’ll be with the other parents over the weekend, probably in London, to listen to the chart results come in and hopefully celebrate that moment.”

The boys look set to achieve their first number one single with ‘What makes You Beautiful’ tomorrow. They will release their full – as yet untitled – album later this year, after a live performance on one of the upcoming X Factor shows.

Liam Payne has admitted that he and his fellow One Direction members cope with fame, by making a joke out of it.

The boys’ lives have changed since they entered The X Factor last year and as they release their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful,’ Liam confessed that they like to stay light hearted and keep their lives fun, rather than get bogged down in the pressure of being a celebrity.

He told The Daily Star that they try no to take things ‘too seriously,’ explaining:

“We are like the Inbetweeners meets boyband. We are a little bit mischievous, we like to have a laugh and a joke, we don’t want to take things too seriously.

“But at the same time we are really ambitious and dedicated.

“It can be hard coping with the pressure but the other lads understand how you are feeling.

“We are making the most of every minute and loving it.”

Harry Styles claimed that record label boss Simon Cowell has been a great help to them and as well as allowing them the freedom to help write and choose songs for their first album, he has also been a brilliant source of advice. He added:

“The best bit of advice he has given us was to go out and be the boyband we want to be.

“That has really stuck with us and we have made that our little motto.”

Liam Payne has revealed that he doesn’t touch alcohol because of a childhood illness.

The One Direction singer recently turned 18, but has never drank beer, champagne or wine because he was left with only one kidney after an operation when he was younger.

The young hunk was teetotal at this week’s GQ Men of the Year Awards and told Metro that he’d prefer to be safe than sorry when it comes to his health.

He said:

‘I don’t drink at all because I have one kidney.’

‘I have just turned 18 but I don’t touch alcohol at all. It’s just a choice to be on the safe side.’

However, just because he abstains from the evils of alcohol, doesn’t mean his bandmates do the same and talking about the drinking habits of Zain Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, Liam added:

‘A couple of the other boys are 18 and they drink and have had some tonight. I won’t stop them.’

Payne also admitted that he is nervous but hopeful about the fate of their debut single – What Makes You Beautiful – which will be released this Sunday. Admitting that SYCO bosses are expecting the track to sell well, he explained:

‘They have drafted in the biggest pre-orders ever for the single but you just have to see how things go.’

On the rivalry between his group and X Factor winner Matt Cardle, he said:

‘Both he and us have spent ages getting these albums right so we wish him the best of luck.’

Liam Payne is a young man after our own hearts.

The One Direction singer has taken the time to plead with his legions of young fans, asking them not to send him any birthday gifts when he turns 18 on Monday, but instead donate their money to a more deserving cause.

The X Factor star acknowledged that his fan’s money would be more appreciated by a charity and took to his Twitter page to comment:

“For my birthday I would like everyone to visit cancerresearchuk.org and donate as much as they can to help fight cancer.”

His followers were of course elated at this heartfelt tweet and many vowed to pledge some funds to his chosen organisation.
