X Factor insiders have denied rumours that Lindsay Lohan is being lined up to join the new American judging panel.
The Daily Mirror had reported that the troubled actress was currently being coached on how to cope with the show’s arduous audition process and a supposed insider claimed that Simon Cowell thought Lohan’s edginess would work well on the reality TV show. The source said:
Simon Cowell is trying to fill up his new X Factor panel and insiders say he is considering adding Lindsay Lohan to the lineup.
The troubled actress has only recently left rehab, has been jailed twice for breaking a drink-drive probation and this week was charged with theft after allegedly stealing an expensive necklace.
Insiders say she is already receiving coaching and training on how to cope with the X Factor’s audition process and a source told The Mirror:
Lindsay Lohan is considering appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
The troubled actress – who is currently scheduled to remain in the Betty Ford rehabilitation centre until January 3 2011 after failing two court-ordered drugs tests in September – is said be in talks with bosses of the ABC show to make an appearance on the next series.
An insider explained: “Lindsay has been talking with the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ people. She is definitely interested and considering being on the show.”
American Idol bosses have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of possible stars that could replace Simon Cowell and if rumours can be believed, on that list are Lindsay Lohan, Madonna and Justin Timberlake.
Cowell offered his final Idol critiques on last night’s show, which saw Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox competing for the winners title. The music mogul recently announced that he is leaving, so that he can concentrate on launching his X Factor show in America.
Lindsay Lohan was reportedly in the American Idol audience on Wednesday night’s results show.
The star reportedly joined the crowd halfway through the show and stood in the front row to watch Diddy perform his new song Hello Good Morning.
Celebrity Big Brother presenter Davina McCall, has said that she would love producers to sign troubled Lindsay Lohan for the show.
As Channel 4 prepares to launch it’s final series of the reality TV show in just two weeks time, Davina admitted that she still has no idea of the lineup.
She told The Daily Star: “I had a chat with the producer a couple of days ago and he won’t tell me anything. That means that they’re still trying to get people on board.

Lindsay Lohan has had a busy week!! First of all she worked her butt off whilst filming her cameo role for US comedy, Ugly Betty, then on Thursday she hopped over to the Project Runway to guest judge for the premiere episode.
