X Factor insiders have denied rumours that Lindsay Lohan is being lined up to join the new American judging panel.

The Daily Mirror had reported that the troubled actress was currently being coached on how to cope with the show’s arduous audition process and a supposed insider claimed that Simon Cowell thought Lohan’s edginess would work well on the reality TV show. The source said:

“Simon wants him and three beautiful girls on the panel. He will sit there like the cat that got the cream. Lindsay is notorious but she will give the show an edginess.

“There’s been serious talks but Lindsay’s legal issues and her commitment to stay sober need to be worked through. She knows this could turn her life around.”

However, Syco today denied the reports. They took to their official Twitter account to tell followers:

No truth in stories Lindsay Lohan being lined up for @TheXFactorUSA- Spokesperson “We have never spoken to Lindsay about any role in the show”

Simon Cowell is trying to fill up his new X Factor panel and insiders say he is considering adding Lindsay Lohan to the lineup.

The troubled actress has only recently left rehab, has been jailed twice for breaking a drink-drive probation and this week was charged with theft after allegedly stealing an expensive necklace.

Insiders say she is already receiving coaching and training on how to cope with the X Factor’s audition process and a source told The Mirror:

“Simon wants him and three beautiful girls on the panel. He will sit there like the cat that got the cream. Lindsay is notorious but she will give the show an edginess.

Lindsay Lohan is considering appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

The troubled actress – who is currently scheduled to remain in the Betty Ford rehabilitation centre until January 3 2011 after failing two court-ordered drugs tests in September – is said be in talks with bosses of the ABC show to make an appearance on the next series.

An insider explained: “Lindsay has been talking with the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ people. She is definitely interested and considering being on the show.”

It is thought the ‘Machete’ star believes the show’s gruelling rehearsal schedule would be a positive influence on her, and would help with her “transition” back to the world of work.

The source added to gossip website RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay’s treatment team thinks ‘Dancing with the Stars’ would be a perfect transition back to work for her.

“She would have a set schedule everyday, would be occupied and would be very productive. Lindsay wanted their approval before proceeding in talks with the producers and she got it.”

The 24-year-old star’s continuing legal issues – which saw her imprisoned on two occasions this year – stem from a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).

American Idol bosses have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of possible stars that could replace Simon Cowell and if rumours can be believed, on that list are Lindsay Lohan, Madonna and Justin Timberlake.

Cowell offered his final Idol critiques on last night’s show, which saw Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox competing for the winners title. The music mogul recently announced that he is leaving, so that he can concentrate on launching his X Factor show in America.

Producers are now keen to land a big named star to replace the caustic tongued Simon and a source at Fox told The Mirror:

“American Idol was our top show and a lot of that had to do with the love-hate relationship between Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell. Then Paula left and now Simon’s going, too.

“We want a regular explosive dynamic between the judges. Lindsay has music experience and an unpredictability.”

Lindsay Lohan was reportedly in the American Idol audience on Wednesday night’s results show.

The star reportedly joined the crowd halfway through the show and stood in the front row to watch Diddy perform his new song Hello Good Morning.

Lindsay tweeted: “Love American Idol! Such a fun show to come to! I wanna come more!”

She also teased fans: “I saw American Idol and who gets cut off!”

A source told OK magazine: “She signed autographs for some of the kids in the audience.”

Celebrity Big Brother presenter Davina McCall, has said that she would love producers to sign troubled Lindsay Lohan for the show.

As Channel 4 prepares to launch it’s final series of the reality TV show in just two weeks time, Davina admitted that she still has no idea of the lineup.

She told The Daily Star: “I had a chat with the producer a couple of days ago and he won’t tell me anything. That means that they’re still trying to get people on board.

“Obviously I’ve heard all the rumours about Lindsay Lohan and I have to say I quite like her. Is it bad that I think she’s brilliant?

“Providing she wasn’t completely trollied, I think she’d be a great housemate. She’d be one of those housemates you just wouldn’t be able to keep your eyes off.”

Reports have emerged that the original wild child, Lindsay Lohan, is considering making an appearance on next year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

LiLo is presenting a number of shows in Singapore this week and The Sun reports that show bosses have flew out for some preliminary meetings.

The 2010 series of the show will be the final celebrity version and it looks like Endemol are going all out to make sure its a cracker.

Lindsay Lohan and Ryan Seacrest are said to be joining forces for another reality TV show.

The pair sparked a media frenzy last Thursday when they were spotted out on the town together. However the rumours were laid to rest by Seacrest who said on his Twitter page:

“Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her. It helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together.”

Lindsay, 22, also tweeted: “Working on a really great project for television — I am excited! Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC? ”

A source said: “Ryan thinks Lindsay would be a great way to start the series, and Lindsay thinks it will help rehabilitate her image. She’s very interested.”

Lindsay Lohan has had a busy week!! First of all she worked her butt off whilst filming her cameo role for US comedy, Ugly Betty, then on Thursday she hopped over to the Project Runway to guest judge for the premiere episode.

Accees Hollwood reports that the new season of the fashion show will premiere in America on the 15th of October with starlet Lindsay in the judges hotseat.

Other stars who have preceeded Lindsay in this role have been Victoria Beckham, Natalie Portman and Sarah Jessica Parker.
