Following the tragic news of Jade Goody’s death in the early hours of Sunday March 22nd, Living has announced today that it will be airing two tribute shows to celebrate and document Jade’s life. Jade: With Love will include new and exclusive interviews with some of those closest to Jade together with highlights from her four series ‘ on LIVING.
Jade Goody married her boyfriend Jack Tweed and as we previously reported the former Big Brother star allowed Living TV exclusive access to her preparations for the big day.
Jade’s Wedding will air over two nights on Wednesday 11th March and Thursday 12th March.
Former X Factor contestant Rowetta Satchell has admitted that most of the time she was on our screens she was out of her mind drunk.
Rowetta starred in the first series of the ITV show back in 2004 and admitted that the stress of placing herself in such a pressurised environment ended up with her drinking at least a bottle of whiskey a day.
Rowetta, 42, told The Sun: “I didn’t know what X Factor was going to be. It was the first series and the first show where there was no age limit so I went for it. I was so nervous waiting for my audition, I drank for four hours, so I was a mess. I don’t remember anything — all I know is that I really made a fool of myself.”
Former Dollar singers David Van Day and Thereza Bazar are currently starring in Living’s new reality TV show, ‘Pop Goes The Band.’
The pair are trying to recreate their ‘heyday’ in the 1980s when they scored a handful of top ten hits, but before they can do they they obviously have to look the part. Thereza decided to work out with a personal trainer and opted for a touch of botox to reinvigorate her ageing body. Van Day, ever the show man, took things about ten steps further and volunteered for quite a drastic facelift.
Last night Bay City Roller star, Les McKeown was the focus of Living’s new reality TV series, Rehab.
Les has spent decades addicted to alcohol and during treatment for his problem he admitted that many of his emotional problems stem from a date rape incident which occurred when he was only 17 year old.
“Date rape is the best way I can think of to explain how I was cajoled into a situation through drugs into having sex with another man,” he explained.
“It happened in America in a hotel room. I was given Quaaludes, a drug for lowering your inhibitions and making you horny.
Few women have created more headlines than Jade Goody, most recently with the tragic news of her cancer battle.
Living with… Jade has the latest news on Jade’s devastating cancer diagnosis, which broke while the programmewas in production.
Rising to notoriety after her appearance on Big Brother in 2002, when her brash charm and goofy gaffes made her ahousehold name, Jade has since been lauded and lambasted in equal measure. In spite of the controversy of 2007’s Celebrity Big Brother, however, few could argue with her extraordinary success and endurance, as she turned what could have been a brief moment in the spotlight into a career spanning TV shows, books and fitness DVDs. One of the most iconic of 80s films continues to provide the backdrop for LIVING’s show Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life this week. After last week’s shock elimination of favourites Dean and Lucy, tensions are high in this sixth episode.
This week, while last episode’s winners, Lydia and Nick, get to know each other better in the lodge, the rest of the contestants throw a party which ends with them racing round the resort in their underwear. Meanwhile, it looks like Jordan and Amy are getting to grips with their very own style of dirty dancing. Read more & comment »
With two couples – Andrew and Jennifer and Carly and Kenny – already eliminated, tensions run high in the fifth episode of the reality show.
After winning last week’s dance-off, Dean and Candice decide they want to remain a pair for the rest of the contest. Unfortunately for them, both Adam and Jamie also have eyes for Candice, and as it’s the boy’s turn to pick their partners, the tactics get just as dirty as the dancing.
This week’s speciality dance is Dirty Hip Hop, and helping the couples get to grips with the bump ‘n grind is top
choreographer Sho-Tyme. It’s a sexy dance that requires sizzling chemistry, but while some couples give a fiery performance, others just fade into the background.
In a flurry of chintzy fabric, manes of perfectly-coiffed hair and language that would make Gordon Ramsay blush, the brand new reality show To The Manor Bowen starts its exclusive run on LIVING this week. This series follows the famously flamboyant Llewelyn-Bowen family as they attempt to set up home in the country. Interior designer Laurence (famed for shows such as Changing Rooms and Home Front), wife Jackie and children Cecile and Hermione are moving from London to the Cotswolds in search of the good life – though quite how the colourful clan will go down with the locals remains to be seen, especially if they intend to bring their unique sense of style to bare on their new country pile.
Laurence is loathe to leave the capital, but when Jackie suggests it’s a little passe to live there after 40 he concedes it might be time to head for pastures new. The unconventional pair see themselves as ambassadors of posh who are perfectly placed to be the new Lord and Lady of the manor, but even their kids are dubious about their parents’ aristocratic credentials. Each week, the show follows the dynamic duo as they set about renovating their new but dilapidated 17th-century home, putting their own eccentric stamp on it. How will their style go down with the neighbours? Read more & comment »
