After many hours locked away in the studio, Lloyd Daniels has released his debut single and EP ‘Suburbian Girl’.

The hunky singer first shot to stardom in 2009 on The X Factor and with Cheryl Cole as his mentor Lloyd made it all the way to the semi-finals before narrowly being voted off in the sing-off.

Suburbian Girl was released yesterday and Download from December 4th 2011. Lloyd has been working with acclaimed writer and producer John McLaughlin. John has written and produced for the likes of Melanie C, Busted, German Idol, Westlife, Blue, 911 & 5ive. John was also a mentor on BBC’s Fame Academy.

Lloyd Daniels has reportedly been dropped by his management company.

The 19 year old singer shot to fame on the 2009 X Factor series, when he finished in fifth place, just ahead of rock singer Jamie Archer.

It had been reported that Lloyd would release his first single “Crazy” on the 14th of February, however fans have now been told that the single has been given to another singer.

A statement was posted on the Facebook page ” Official Lloyd Daniels News ” saying:

“Sadly, Lloyd will not have the song “Crazy” anymore, Lloyd’s management has given the song to a singer called Ben, its not Ben’s fault so please don’t give him any hate because it isn’t fair.

So unfortunately Lloyd will not be performing Crazy again or releasing it as planned.”

Later in the evening another status update said:

“I’m sure you guys are quite annoyed right now, but its for the best.

Wouldn’t you rather Lloyd be with guys who will support him and not mess him around, than some people who just think about the MONEY.

Lloyd needs all your support now which I’m sure all of you will give, so don’t be annoyed…its time to move on to much better things!!! It may take a little longer than planned but he’ll get there!!”.

Somehow we doubt that he will…..

Lloyd Daniels has admitted that he warns people off entering The X Factor and says that he would never want to live through the experience again.

The 17 year old auditioned for Simon and co last year and sang through the live shows until he was eliminated in week eight. Although he hasn’t landed a record deal, he does now travel the length and breadth of the country performing at gigs. His life has changed massively but would he recommend it to his friends?

The Welsh singer told Wales Online:

“I would never do it again.”

“My friend said he might go along to audition this year, but I said ‘you’re not doing it!’ It’s really hard work.

On how he felt when he was voted off the show last year, Lloyd admitted:

“It was quite a relief to be honest. Everyone else who’d left before me were doing gigs, and I wanted to do that myself.”

His pal Lucie Jones has remained in close contact with her mentor Dannii Minogue since she left the series and Lloyd admitted that he has never heard from Cheryl Cole again. However, he says she was supportive while he was competing.

“She was very good. She wanted to work with us a lot and she was very supportive,” he revealed.

So will Lloyd be tuning into The X Factor this year?

“I doubt it – I’m working too much. And having gone through that process myself, I don’t know if I could watch other people going through it – it’s very hard.”

X Factor star Lloyd Daniels has assured fans that he is ok after being injured in a car crash.

The accident occured as the singer was dropping his flatmate Lucie Jones to a London tube station just five weeks after passing his driving test. He wrote off his £13,000 mini and sustained bruises, burns and whiplash in the crash last week.

Lloyd wrote on his Twitter page: “Thanks for the support guys.

“I didn’t want to worry you all myself because I knew you’d panic. Thanks again.”

Lloyd’s mum Lisa told the Daily Star: “We just thank God it was not much worse. He is a really careful driver. He has only just passed his test so he does not want to get points on his licence.

“He’s still recovering. He’s got quite bad whiplash and was really upset.”

Former X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels has been injured in a car crash his mother confirmed.

The 17-year-old, passed his driving test just five weeks ago and got into the accident of Friday, sustaining whiplash, bruises and burns from his airbag.

Lloyd had been dropping fellow X Factor star and current flatmate Lucie Jones at a London tube station when the accident occured. He was later treated at St George’s Hospital for his injuries.

His mum Lisa told the South Wales Echo: “We just thank God that it was not much worse. He is a really careful driver. He has only just passed his test so he wants to look after his licence and not get any points on it.

“He’s still recovering. He’s got quite bad whiplash, his chest is all bruised and he was in shock. He was really upset.”

They are not dating but Welsh teenagers Lucie Jones and Lloyd Daniels have decided to share a flat in London, while they try to advance their music careers.

Lloyd, who finished in fifth place on last year’s X Factor series told WalesOnline: “It worked out really well. Lucie found herself a place in Putney and was advertising for a flatmate and I was looking for somewhere myself but I couldn’t find anywhere I liked.

“There were a few one-bedroom flats but I don’t want to live on my own for my first year away from home.

“We just decided it would make sense for me to move in with Lucie. It’s the perfect arrangement.

“We get on so well. Ever since we met at the very first audition we’ve been good friends. It was mad that we both got through to the live finals.

“I can’t wait to have my own place, it will be nice to have somewhere in London to call home. It’s going to be amazing.”

He added: “There’s no chance of me bringing lots of people back and wrecking the flat, I’m not really into all that.

“I just want to get a record deal, that’s more important to me than partying.

“Also I’m a bit of a clean freak so I wouldn’t want people to come over and make a mess. Lucie will probably let her room get messy, but I’ll just close the door so I can’t see it.

“The first thing we need to do when we move in is buy a new sofa as the one there at the moment is not really to our taste. Besides, it needs to be extra comfy as that’s where my mum will sleep when she comes to stay.”

Part time model Lucie admitted that she will be keeping a close on her 17 year old flatmate. She said: “I’m going to be like his mum. He definitely won’t be able to bring any girls back and he’ll have to be home by 9pm whenever he goes out.

“He’s like my little brother, I really look out for him.

“I love him so much and I’m thrilled we’re moving in together.”

X Factor reject Lloyd Daniels has denied rumours that his fellow contestant Danyl Johnson is arrogant and cocky. Defending Danyl against many negative press reports, Lloyd told The Mirror:

“They say he’s cocky but it’s not true – he’s a really nice guy.”

“I think he’s got an amazing voice. He gives one hell of a good performance as well.”

Former X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels, has denied reports that Cheryl Cole favoured Joe McElderry over him.

During his interview with Phillip and Holly on ITV’s This morning Lloyd insisted:

“She was fair on both sides and we’d spend a lot of time in her dressing room just talking and going over songs.

“She worked really, really hard with me.”

He added: “Joe is an amazing guy, he’s got such an awesome voice.

“Joe is vocally amazing, he’s pitch perfect all the time and I think he deserves to win to be honest. Well, I want team Cheryl to do well as well so I hope he does win!”

Many X Factor fans have voiced their disapproval at Olly Murs reaction to making it to next week’s semi final show.

On hearing that he was through (and Lloyd Daniels was being sent home), Olly whooped and jumped for joy, then walked off stage without so much as shaking young Lloyd’s hand.

Our live blogger Gerard noted Olly’s transgression here and Unreality TV forum members commented on his behavior saying:

I was disapointed in the way Olly reacted,it was as if someone had just scored a goal at a football match lol he didn’t even shake Lloyds hand.Olly to go next week! Joe to win.

he’s like ten years older than Lloyd, he could have acknowledged him after his celebration which he didn’t he just walked off.

And as for Olly Murs – I worked out his formula last night. Olly does the trademark “Murs Shuffle” while the dancing girls around him dress up in whatever costume suits Brian Friedman’s creative vision for the performance. Basically, it’s the same face, same dance with different stage dressing. Give that man a headline tour and you’ll see what I mean.

But onward Dermot! To the results show! The steaks couldn’t be tougher!

Tonight’s show is jam-packed with sexy international talent – Alicia Keys and Rihanna! But first, here come the judges – and Dannii and Cheryl are sporting some eyecatching frockwear tonight, but the camera pans to Louis looking slightly disheveled and you kinda wish they’d give him a nice dress to wear too.

Let’s get the ensemble performance out of the way – a rather limp version of Scissor Sisters’ I Don’t Feel Like Dancing done in the Friedman stylee. Er, it’s a tad un-coordinated though, and it feels like they sucked all the fun and energy out of the song. Nice arrangement…not.

We run through last night’s show – and possibly Simon Cowell’s most legendary quote ever! “It’s not about the first kiss darling, it’s all about the second.” Said to Cheryl backstage. Priceless Actually, Cowell backstage was a force of nature last night from what I can see.

Alicia Keys

Yes! I was hoping for a blast of Empire State Of Mind, the song she did with Jay-Z – she opens with that and then segues into her latest single. It’s the first outing for Doesn’t Mean Anything so it’s unfamiliar to us, but a great tune and good to hear her singing live. She’s looking pretty tasty in the red outfit, isn’t she gents?

I love this, she’s worked in her best known single No One, she tells Dermot: “We did a little mini concert for you…” She totally dodges the bullet from Dermot “What do you think of the final five?” No answer means you think they’re shit, Alicia! But she’s glad there’s a woman in the final 5.

Judges Opinions

Who’s in danger this week? Simon says Lloyd. The girls say everybody, but Louis also nominates Lloyd. That bit of opinion out of the way, on to Rihanna! Yay!

Rihanna!

I’ve been waiting for this all week. She’s plugging her new single Russian Roulette. I wonder if that’s real fur she’s draped in? Somebody call PETA! She’s bringing the drama with a pinkish throne and a very intimately lit stage set. She has a minor hairdo malfunction when a part of her bouffant falls across her eyes. She reminds me a little of that Rachel Adedeji girl, anyone else? Brilliant, great performance.

I love the way she towers over Dermot! She casually drapes an arm round his neck and drooling sofa-dwellers like me suddenly wish we could trade places with him for a minute…

Elimination time

OOOOOOOOHHHHH! There’s no final showdown tonight. It’s literally a case of the act with the least votes goes home. Simple as that! Stacey gets returned first. The second act returning is…Joe McElderry. Lloyd looks devastated in advance. The third act returning for the semi-final is…Danyl Johnson! It’s between Olly Murs and Lloyd Daniels. I’m actually excited! And Olly is the fourth act for the semi-finals – Lloyd Daniels is going home.

Something I wanna say here – did you notice how Olly consoled Lloyd after getting the news? Well, he didn’t. Olly leaped up and down in an orgy of self-congratulation and stomped off, stage right. Not a word of consolation to the obviously upset teenager!

Lloyd gets to sing his Take That song from last night before the show ends. And as much as I’ve grumbled about him, I’m a little bit sad for the kid – as a couple of commenters on Unreality TV have remarked, with a couple of years maturity, Lloyd could have been much better. He was out of his league this year, but he could come back much stronger in a couple of years time. I don’t know if there’s any rule that excludes a finalist from applying in a later year of X Factor.
