The BT Red Nose Desert Trek team are heading towards the finish line of their gruelling challenge.
With the all-star group – including Dermot O’Leary, Lorraine Kelly and Olly Murs – hoping to complete the excruciating 100-kilometre walk across Kenya’s inhospitable Kaisut Desert at some point today (25.02.11), the celebrities are still suffering at the hands of the scorching heat.
Walking alone in the hope of focusing on their individual efforts, emotions were running high among the trekkers when they reached base camp last night.

Olly Murs, Dermot O’Leary and Lorraine Kelly are having a hard time and have all been struck down with painful injuries in Kenya.
The three stars – who are currently taking part in gruelling 100-kilometre BT Red Nose Desert Trek across the African country’s inhospitable Kaisut Desert to raise vital funds for Comic Relief – are all suffering at the hands of the scorching heat.
‘X Factor’ star Olly has developed a painful case of chafing on his legs and groin area after walking 16 kilometres in just one morning yesterday (23.02.11).

Lorraine Kelly has insisted that you will never see her in a reality TV show, neither will you see her with a bad facelift or boob job.
“You’ll never catch me doing Dancing On Ice, Strictly or I’m A Celebrity,” Kelly told Celebs On Sunday magazine. “I have no desire to ice skate or eat a kangaroo’s bum.
“I love to watch them, but it’s supposed to be good fun and it always gets terribly competitive. Some people, I’ll name no names but we all know who they are, they’re so serious about it.”
