The Sun newspaper reported today that after meeting up with music manager, Louis Walsh on the set of This Is Your Life, Simon Cowell admitted that he regretted sacking Louis and asked him to return to The X Factor.
A source said: “They cleared the air after This Is Your Life.
“Simon rang Louis and said he felt he had made a mistake and offered him £1million to come back. Louis wasn’t interested.
“Simon apologised and the pair have been on good terms since.”
At least Louis seems to have some sense. No doubt that after seeing the publics relief at his sacking, Louis knew he wouldn’t be welcomed back by the viewers.

The eight remaining contestants vying for the part of Joseph in the BBC’s reality TV show, Any Dream Will Do, have something else to make the effort seem worthwhile.
The winner of the show will not only land a leading West End role, but Louis Walsh, who has agreed to manage the winner, has also managed to secure them a £200,000 record deal with Universal Records.
Louis told the Mirror: “It is a great contract.
“The idea is to rush out an album of Joseph songs straight after the series ends. I’m sure it will be very popular.
“I’m used to looking after pop acts so this is different and it’s going to be great fun.”
Next we’ll be hearing that there is to be a Joseph film!

After having turned down the chance to appear in I’m A Celebrity himself, music manager, Louis Walsh has promised ITV that he will help to get some big names on the show, and according to Now Magazine, Brian McFadden is one name that keeps cropping up.
‘Louis thinks it will do Brian a lot of good and he will get a huge fee,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘ITV are desperate to get Brian signed up.’
I suppose it’s only right that he follows in his ex wife’s footsteps and lest face it, it couldn’t hurt his ailing career could it?

It seems that even TV’s Mr Nasty can feel guilty sometimes. As Simon Cowell has admitted to The Sun today that he should have called Louis Walsh and sacked him personally.
He told The Sun: “I should have called Louis – he has every reason to believe he’s been stabbed in the back. At some stage we are going to have a conversation and I’ll see how he feels.
“But he’s got to get off his chest what he wants to get off his chest – he thinks I stabbed him in the back.”
See, he’s not the baddie we would all like to believe!

Just weeks after being booted off The X Factor, Louis Walsh is said to have been inundated with work offers.
One such offer is the chance to join the judging panel for the BBC’s new show ‘Any Dream Will Do.’
A source says, “(Walsh) was really hurt that Simon dropped him without even speaking to him directly.
“The BBC moved fast to ask if he’d like to help out. He is delighted to be working for the BBC – and the fact that he’ll be going up against Cowell’s show makes it even sweeter.”
Please God NOOOOOOOOO!

Sharon Osbourne has hit out at music mogul, Simon Cowell for the firing of Kate Thornton and Louis Walsh. She told The Mirror:

Louis Walsh talks about his shock departure from X Factor when he meets Graham Norton tonight on BBC Two.
Walsh claims that he was completely in the dark about plans to drop him as a judge from the ITV show.
He tells Graham: “They said they had bad news for me, I had no idea at all.”
But Walsh reveals on The Graham Norton Show that he is planning a tell-all expose.
He says: “I’ve been offered a really good book deal to tell all about the music business, I could burn a few bridges [but] get even with a lot of people, it’ll make up for the X Factor. Time will tell who got the best deal [out of the X Factor].”
He also talks about his continuing allegiance to fellow X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne.
“She’s a great woman, she’s real. If you’re a friend, it’s forever,” he says.
As for his replacement, he says: “They’re getting a new male presenter and one male and one female judge.”
Comedienne Jenny Éclair completes this week’s line-up.

Louis Walsh has appeared on Chris Moyles Radio One show today and lent the DJ his backing as the new X Factor judge.
He said: “I think you’d be a brilliant judge and I know Sharon likes you a lot.
“They should hire you – we should start a national petition to hire Chris Moyles for the X Factor. You’d be great for the show.”
Simon Cowell has confirmed that there will be four judges this series, and there are rumours that one will be David Gest. Will Moyles be judge number 4? Watch this space!

It has been reported today that the music producer David Gest is in negotiations with ITV to replace Louis Walsh as a judge on the X Factor. David is already working with ITV as a judge on the upcoming show Grease Is The Word.
An insider told The Mirror: “Talks are well under way and ITV chiefs think David is just what the show needs to give it a new kick. It’s just a case of sorting out money and scheduling.
“David was a real hit on I’m A Celeb… so they know how popular he is. Simon Cowell wants someone who would bring fresh humour to the show. David is such a character.
“David is someone who knows what he’s talking about. He has strong views and isn’t afraid to speak his mind.”
I think the producers are on the right track with this one. David would be a fantastic addition to the show, he would have the spark that Louis was missing.

Simon Cowell has revealed why he had to let Kate Thornton and Louis Walsh go, in an interview with the Daily Star today.
For once Simon tried to play down the whole Mr Nasty image and admitted that the decision was not all his doing.
He revealed: “ITV wanted to make some changes to the show. They likened it to Coronation Street.
“You have to change and add to the cast every couple of years. It’s how you keep a show successful.”
When asked why he decided to let Louis go, Cowell said: “The honest answer is we tried to keep Louis.
“But he couldn’t commit to another season. He has a lot of things on the go, like the Boyzone reunion.”
Of the new-look show, Cowell added: “There will be four judges. I know there have already been a lot of names put about. But the decision hasn’t been made.
“However, it’s fair to say there are a number of people under consideration.”

PR Inside reports:
Irish music mogul LOUIS WALSH has accused SIMON COWELL of stabbing him in the back after axing him from UK reality TV show THE X FACTOR.
Manager Walsh has lost his place alongside Cowell and SHARON OSBOURNE on the show’s judging panel in a shake-up that also saw host KATE THORNTON sacked.
Cowell claims Walsh was too busy to commit enough time to the show and even alleges he attempted to save the pair’s jobs, and that the decision to sack them was made by network ITV – but Walsh is furious.
Walsh says, “I was really shocked, I have to admit that. I did feel like I had been stabbed in the back. With Simon it’s all about work. He told me, ‘It’s nothing personal.’” He adds of Thornton’s departure, “It was a bad move sacking Kate. She was like a mother figure for all the acts. She will be a big loss.
“It was made worse because Simon and ITV kept telling Kate she was safe. It would seem Simon’s word is not his bond.” But Cowell defends himself, insisting, “Louis has been in discussions about the commitment he could offer and he was too busy with his managerial career.
It just worked out that it would be better if we got a new judge.
“I did put up arguments for Louis and Kate to stay, but ITV put up their arguments for them to go, and it was their decision.”
