X Factor star Lucie Jones has landed a role in Doctor Who spinoff ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures.’

The singer has enjoyed many career developments since leaving the ITV show, not only as a singer but also as a model and now as an actress.

Lucie will star alongside new Doctor Matt Smith in the episode. She told The Sun: “It’s a tiny cameo – but apparently it’s quite funny.”

Former X Factor contestant Lucie Jones has said that her former mentor Dannii Minogue will have no trouble catching up when she joins the show at a later stage this year.

Dannii will not be attending the initial auditions for this year’s show due to pregnancy but is expected to rejoin the panel in the later bootcamp stage of competition.

Jones told Metro: “Dannii is definitely the best mentor, last year she really proved herself.

“She will be the best again because she really cares. I’m 100% sure she’ll pick it up.”

Former X Factor contestant Lucie Jones has claimed that her mentor Dannii Minogue will be a great mum and added that she is incredibly ‘maternal.’

In an interview with The Mirror Jones said: “I really clicked with Dannii right from the beginning. She was so maternal and really looked after us girls.

“Then when Stephen Gately passed away and Louis [Walsh] wasn’t on the show she took over and looked after the groups, even though it wasn’t her responsibility. She wanted everyone to do well.”

Jones also admitted that she knew about Dannii’s pregnancy a few days before she announced it to the press. She added: “I was over the moon when she texted saying she was expecting and I asked if I could tell people but she said, ‘absolutely not’. She wasn’t three months so I had to keep a lid on it. We tend to speak once a week now.”

A great character reference like that and Simon Cowell still wants to cut her pay!

Lucie Jones has revealed that she wanted to punch Simon Cowell after he voted her off The X Factor and saved tuneless Jedward.

Since the show Lucie has landed a lucrative modeling contract, but the 19 year old The Mirror that she is still smarting from her X Factor loss. She said:

“I did feel Simon was victimising me and in some ways he was hypocritical for not saving me as he knew I could sing.”

“I was so upset I burst into tears in front of the judges. Afterwards Simon walked out of the studio and tapped me on the nose and said, ‘Chin up, love,’ but all I could think was, ‘I want to punch you!’

“He knew not saving me would make good TV. It’s his job to boost ratings, but he has to remember he is playing with people’s lives, too.”

On Simon’s cruel nature she added:

“When I sang My Funny Valentine for big band week, Simon really got to me.”

“All the other judges were saying I was really good, but all Simon could say was, ‘You’ve got a petal on your head,’ where one of the floating rose petals had landed.

“He looked at me like something he had scraped off the bottom of his shoe. I walked off stage in tears.”

They are not dating but Welsh teenagers Lucie Jones and Lloyd Daniels have decided to share a flat in London, while they try to advance their music careers.

Lloyd, who finished in fifth place on last year’s X Factor series told WalesOnline: “It worked out really well. Lucie found herself a place in Putney and was advertising for a flatmate and I was looking for somewhere myself but I couldn’t find anywhere I liked.

“There were a few one-bedroom flats but I don’t want to live on my own for my first year away from home.

“We just decided it would make sense for me to move in with Lucie. It’s the perfect arrangement.

“We get on so well. Ever since we met at the very first audition we’ve been good friends. It was mad that we both got through to the live finals.

“I can’t wait to have my own place, it will be nice to have somewhere in London to call home. It’s going to be amazing.”

He added: “There’s no chance of me bringing lots of people back and wrecking the flat, I’m not really into all that.

“I just want to get a record deal, that’s more important to me than partying.

“Also I’m a bit of a clean freak so I wouldn’t want people to come over and make a mess. Lucie will probably let her room get messy, but I’ll just close the door so I can’t see it.

“The first thing we need to do when we move in is buy a new sofa as the one there at the moment is not really to our taste. Besides, it needs to be extra comfy as that’s where my mum will sleep when she comes to stay.”

Part time model Lucie admitted that she will be keeping a close on her 17 year old flatmate. She said: “I’m going to be like his mum. He definitely won’t be able to bring any girls back and he’ll have to be home by 9pm whenever he goes out.

“He’s like my little brother, I really look out for him.

“I love him so much and I’m thrilled we’re moving in together.”

Former X Factor singer Lucie Jones has admitted that she would love to have a boob job, but is too worried about the pain.

The Welsh beauty has recently signed with a modeling agency and thinks she is too flat chested for the job. She told Now magazine:

“I’d like to have a boob job but I don’t think I’d have the guts.

“I don’t like wearing chicken fillets or push-up bras. So I just have to dress around my flat chest.”

However, Lucie says that she doesn’t intend to become a size zero model though adding:

“I think you just eat healthily and do your exercise when you can.

“I don’t agree with starving yourself or throwing up. Anything like that I think is completely wrong.”

‘It’s been a brilliant year. I was very flattered to even be considered by Select.

‘I love fashion, I love beauty and I love singing, so to be able to model alongside my music is the best Christmas present ever. I can’t wait to get going next year.

Reports are circulating that X Factor singer Lucie Jones, may be about to sign a management contract with show judge, Louis Walsh.

Lucie was spotted lunching with Louis in Dublin yesterday, sparking rumours that the Westlife manager may be about to take her under his wing.

“Lucie hinted that she and Louis were meeting up for a chat, so she could get some career advice from him,” a source close to the singer told The Hearld.

“He was in Brown Thomas doing some Christmas shopping when she was in town, so she said she was going to join him for a coffee before heading off to the Miley Cyrus concert at the O2.

“Obviously, Dannii was Lucie’s mentor on the show, but Louis would have known all the contestants as well and would want to help them out if he could,” they added.

Lucie told The Daily Star: “His sister got in touch with me after seeing me on the show and asked if I wanted to come to dinner after the Twilight New Moon film a couple of weeks ago.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ Unfortunately for me I had to switch on the Christmas lights in Warrington on the same day!

“I couldn’t believe I missed such an opportunity, I was gutted.

“We are still in touch, though, and are going to go to dinner or something next week.

“I can’t believe it – he is like my dream man, I really, really fancy him. Kristen Stewart had better watch out!”

Former X Factor contestant Lucie Jones has insisted that Danyl Johnson is not good enough to win the competition.

In an interview with The Mirror Lucie claimed:

“If you look at the way Simon stands up for Danyl every time he sings…I’m sorry Danyl’s not that good every time he sings.”

Instead, Lucie wants Danyl voted off this week and thinks Joe McElderry should win the series.

She added:

“I’m not surprised who’s in the semi-final and I think Stacey, Olly and Joe will make it to the final. Joe will go and win it. He’s a ridiculously good singer with a great personality and cute and good looking at the same time.”
