As fans of Big Brother will of course know, Luke Anderson won the show last night, walking away £50,000 richer and hopefully, with a good deal more self-confidence!
Luke S, as I predicted in my article yesterday, was the first to leave in last night’s final, and during his eviction interview with Brian, he had a face like a smacked ar*e and only grudgingly answered questions! More on that in a moment…
But first, are you glad that Luke A won, or would you rather have seen either Sara, Deana, Luke S or Adam winning the show overall?
I was happy for him, especially as it was his first wedding anniversary too – and just as a coinkydink aside, I lived in Mold when I was first married many years ago – even though, as I’ve mentioned a few times in my articles here on Unreality, I haven’t had very strong feelings about who I wanted to see win the show out of the final five… Read more & comment »

Yesterday was of course the housemates’ last full day in the Big Brother house, and it was a time for reflection as well as looking forward…
Because of course tonight, either Sara, Deana, Luke A, Luke S or Adam is going to be crowned winner of BB 2012 and walk away £50,000 richer.
I absolutely can’t call who’s going to win, but I think I can narrow it down to four candidates, as I think Luke S will be one of the first out tonight.
I also have a feeling that Deana won’t make it to the final two or three, so if that’s the case, then of course it’ll be between Sara, Luke A and Adam. I really like all three of them, so I can’t choose which one I’d prefer to win… Read more & comment »

Today is Day 69 in the Big Brother house, and of course, it’s the final five housemates’ last full day on the show.
Tomorrow night, on Channel 5 as of 9pm, one by one, the five will be whittled down to just two who will then have a nervous wait to find out who’s going to win, and we want to know who you think will, or should, win.
The five remaining housemates are of course Luke S, Luke A, Adam, Deana and Sara, and personally, though I still don’t have über strong feelings about who I’d like to see win, I think either Luke A, Adam or Sara deserve to.
But then again, Deana has – often by accident or as a result of others – featured heavily in this series, but of late, she’s begun to irritate me somewhat… Read more & comment »

As we reported yesterday, celebrity media commentator Nina Myskow went into the house to train the final five housemates, Sara, Deana, Luke A, Adam and Luke S on the finer points of celebrity etiquette.
On her list of things to train the housemates in was…
- Perfect their wave for when they leave the Big Brother House
- Walk down stairs gracefully
- Perform with etiquette and ease on the red carpet
- Get out of a car gracefully
- Greet a housemate they didn’t get along with
- Perfect their hug with Brian Dowling
- Deal with bad press
- Deal with an over-enthusiastic fan
The housemates were told that if Nina was impressed with their efforts, they would land a party complete with booze, canapés and a slideshow of some of their best moments in the house. Read more & comment »

Last night, Ashleigh Hughes and Scott Mason left the Big Brother house, meaning of course that Deana, Adam, Luke A, Luke S and Sara are our final five housemates, and one of them will be crowned winner on Monday night.
However, the future of Lushleigh is very much in doubt since Ashleigh got to see the footage of Luke S telling the fake media agent that he’s just not that into Ashleigh…
The drama all happened on Bit on the Side last night, which was live from the garden, with the remaining five housemates locked inside the house, but able to hear and see everything that was going on, while Scott and Ashleigh joined Emma and the panel outside.
And though Ashleigh had seen a brief clip of the whole agent debacle – when Luke S said of Ashleigh “There’s load of things that irritate me” and added he’d prefer a single life outside the BB house – during her eviction interview with Brian, she saw the full footage on BOTS… Read more & comment »

Looks like the Invisible Man might be about to take one for the team…
Yesterday, which was Day 66, Big Brother gave the remaining seven housemates a chance to win some groovy prizes, including takeaway, getting Sara’s eviction outfit back, and booze.
All they had to do was prove how low they could go in a limbo session, and the lower the bar went – and was successfully cleared – the more prizes the housemates would win.
And they all gave their technique some thought, but Luke S – being über competitive – really studied and practiced his, until he thought he had it cracked.
However, nobody managed to get low enough to win the takeaway, but nonetheless, a whole host of other goodies were won, including Sara’s eviction outfit, so she’s a happy bunny… Read more & comment »

Yesterday, which was Day 65, Big Brother evidently decided that there was far too much peace, love and harmony in the house, and of course, the very best way to put a stop to that malarkey is to let housemates know who nominated them, and why…
So, to that end, Big Brother announced that housemates must don their gladrags and prepare for The Nommy Awards, a glitzy evening of highs and lows where the coveted awards in a variety of categories were on offer.
And for the housemate who won the most awards, a special treat lay in store as he or she would be treated to a slap up meal for four, cooked by Michelin-starred – and Morrison’s – chef Atul Kochharchef.
In the end, Luke S won the most awards, and he chose to take Ashleigh, Scott and Sara to dinner with him, but here’s the list of categories, and who won the awards… Read more & comment »

As we reported yesterday, the housemates were given a mini-shopping task which required five of the remaining seven housemates to be museum exhibits, while two would be security guards.
Sara and Scott became guards, which of course meant that Luke A, Luke S, Ashleigh, Deana and Adam were exhibits.
Housemates were told that the exhibits must remain absolutely still and not speak etc., and the security guards had to watch the exhibits on a monitor and report any fails.
However, what Scott and Sara didn’t know is that once the exhibit housemates had taken to their podiums and struck a pose, the cameras were then frozen, showing Scott and Sara totally motionless exhibits… Read more & comment »

Oooh you are awful, but I like you…
As we saw in last night’s Channel 5 highlights show – aside from Deana’s rather awful drunken behaviour – Big Brother housemate Luke S added fuel to the Are You In Fact Gay? fire by displaying a rather comprehensive knowledge of shoes…
Now of course, this issue of Luke S’s true sexuality has been rumbling ever since he went into the house, given that he’s obsessed with his looks, wears make-up, considers himself very buff and generally carries out – both for himself and for other housemates – a good deal of grooming, and were it not for his ‘romance’ with Ashleigh, I think the question would be answered.
But as to his almost encyclopaedic knowledge of women’s shoes, if it were that he worked in a shoe shop, fair enough, and though I’m somewhat reluctant to stereotype, do straight men usually know that much about women’s shoes?
To be honest, I’m a woman and I don’t know that much about women’s shoes. And I know that as far as my husband’s concerned, if you put a gun to his head and asked him to name three types of women’s shoes, you’d end up having to shoot him because he just wouldn’t know… Read more & comment »

During last night’s Big Brother highlights show on Channel 5, we saw a very different side to housemate Deana Uppal when she got a tad tiddly on cocktails…
She was every party-goer’s nightmare of being the most drunk person in the room who then subjected everyone else to annoying behaviour and largely inane drivel.
And even more annoying were her fits of cackling and nigh on hysterical laughter at things that were just not funny…
In case you missed the show last night, in a nutshell, Deana taunted Luke S about not pressing his buzzer fast enough in the £50k White Room finale. Then, when it sank through her cocktail soaked consciousness that he wasn’t happy about it, she apologised, then did it some more… Read more & comment »
