Marcus Collins has been casting his eye over this year’s X Factor contestants and some of them don’t come up to scratch.
The former runner up, who competed on last year’s series of the ITV show, has picked boyband Union J as possible dark horses in the 2012 competition and he thinks their ‘work ethic’ and ‘drive’ will help them to make the final.

Oh dear, this really hasn’t been the best year for former TOWIE star, Maria Fowler, has it?
First she was axed from The Only Way Is Essex after her sparring partner, Kirk Norcross, quit the hit ITV2 reality show to take pursue other projects, then she was stuck in the middle of a Twitter war with X Factor’s Marcus Collins after he branded her a homophobic racist when they met at a Desperate Scousewives event, then she entered into another Twitter war with the entire world after questioning why Muhummed Ali needed an aid to help him stand, and now it has been revealed that despite offering herself on a plate to Celebrity Big Brother, they turned her down for this year’s series!

Could romance be back on the cards between current and former The Only Way Is Essex stars, Mick Norcross and Maria Fowler? Pictures in today’s Sun newspaper would certainly suggest so!
The pair, who dated briefly before Fowler was sacked from the show last year, were spotted out together, looking very cosy, whilst celebrating Fowlers birthday, at Norcross’ club, Sugar Hut last weekend.

Marcus Collins has told his fans that he will be taking a very different direction for his second album.
The former X Factor contestant released his debut self titled album in March of this year, after finishing in second place on the ITV series and landing a record deal with RCA.
The album reached number 9 in the UK charts, his debut single ‘Seven Nation Army’ hit the number 7 spot in the single charts, but his followup ‘Mercy’ performed much more disappointingly, coming in at number 194.

Gary Barlow announced the devastating news about the death of his new baby yesterday and many of his famous friends have rushed to reach out and offer him their messages of condolence.
The X Factor judge had been expecting his fourth child with wife of twelve years Dawn, however he released a statement yesterday confirmed that the child had been stillborn on Saturday. He requested that fans and the media give him and Dawn some space to plan the funeral of baby Poppy and grieve in peace.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Maria Fowler has scored a winning goal as she hooks up with another footballer following her split from the last one, Derby winger Lee Croft.
Fowler, who was sacked from the hit ITV2 reality show last year was spotted getting rather cosy with Birmingham City defender, Curtis Davies, on a recent holiday to, yeah you guessed it, Marbella.

Marcus Collins has set the record straight and denied rumours that he was being dropped by his record label.
It was reported last month that the X Factor runner was on the brink of being dumped by Simon Cowell’s company SYCO, because of disappointing sales of his last single ‘Mercy.’
However, he has insisted that contrary to the reports, he actually has some big news and plans in the pipeline for further music releases.

Marcus Collins has admitted that he has been inspired by the success of One Direction.
The 24 year old singer came second on last year’s series of The X Factor and explained that he finds it encouraging that the teenage boyband have become so successful and become known worldwide, when they also failed to win the ITV series back in 2010.
One Direction finished in third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, when they competed on The X Factor, however they have since sold out tours in America, Canada, Australia and the UK.

Marcus Collins has admitted that he was determined to be himself on The X Factor no matter what.
The Liverpudlian singer came in second place on last year’s series of the ITV show and revealed that he always knew he would be open about his sexuality, having been inspired by previous stars of the show such as Will Young.

Matt Cardle has reportedly become the latest X factor winner to fall foul of demanding record label bosses.
The former painter and decorator shot to fame on the 2010 series of the ITV show, when he triumphed over Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction and Cher Lloyd on the night of the final show.
However, while 1D have went on to break sales records around the world, Cher Lloyd is working with X Factor USA boss L.A. Reid and Rebecca Ferguson is about to try to crack the states as well, it seems that things may not be going so well for poor old Matt.
