Strictly Come Dancing professional Flavia Cacace has split from Matt Di Angelo.

The pair met on the show three years ago, when they made it to the 2007 final but were beaten by current show judge Alesha Dixon.

Flavia, 31 – who was partner with actor Jimi Mistry until they were eliminated last week, says that she split from Matt weeks ago but insists that they are still on speaking terms.

She told The Sun: “We have broken up. It was due to our work – travelling so much and being away from home so much. We are still in touch and very good friends.”

Flavia had previously been dating fellow dancer Vincent Simone and broke uop with him just days before she embarked on a relationship with Matt.

In 2008 the estranged husband of Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton accused Matt of cheating on Flavia with his wife and destroying his marriage to the star.

Gethin’s departure means that Alesha Dixon and Matt Di Angelo will battle it out for the winner’s title next Saturday night.

Gethin accepted his loss with dignity, commenting:

“I’ve had an incredible adventure and now I have some great dance moves,” said Jones after the judges made their decision.

“My friends never expected me to get past week two.”

So now the totty has left, it’s all about the talent! I have been sure that Alesha would win from a very early stage, but I thought Rhydian was going to win X Factor so what do I know!!
