Michael Barrymore has this week returned to New Zealand after failing to make a comeback on UK TV.
Barrymore took part in last years Celebrity Big Brother shw with the hopes that it would be his first step on the ladder of a UK comeback. He had grand plans for new shows, but none actually materialised.
A showbiz insider said: “After Barrymore came second on Celebrity Big Brother he thought there was a real chance of getting things moving again, but as soon as police announced they were reinvestigating the death he knew he was facing an impossible challenge.
“I’m not surprised he’s gone back to New Zealand - and I wouldn’t be surprised if he never comes to the UK.”

Well Michael Barrymore seems to think so!
Despite his own marriage ending up in tatters, Michael Barrymore has today offered some pearls of wisdom to his fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemates.
“You can get attracted by lucrative offers for your wedding pictures and get married for the wrong reason, he tells the News of the World. “Two stars in a family doubles your exposure and doubles your problems. I hope they don’t get carried away.
Talking of doubling your exposure, Michael has just signed a £1 million contract for the writing of his tell all autobiography. Thats right Michael, keep a low profile why don’t you!

Michael Barrymore will make his big TV comeback this week on Channel Four’s show the Friday Night Project. The presenter follows in the footsteps of TV personalities like Lorraine Kelly, Kelly Osbourne and Vinnie Jones who have also presented the show alongside comedians Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr.
This will be Barrymore’s first TV appearance since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, and his first presenting job since he fled to New Zealand.

Terry Lubbock father of Stuart Lubbock who was found dead in Michael Barrymore’s swimming pool will be pressing ahead with legal action against the star despite rumours that the case had been dropped.
Terry met with the Celebrity Big Brother contestant earlier this week and said that he no longer blamed Michael Barrymore for the death of his son. The pair also agreed to work together in getting the case reviewed by the police.
However today Terry confirmed that “I’m still pursuing the case and shall talk with my solicitor about what’s next.
“I was happy meeting Barrymore and feel I have his support to campaign for justice over what happened to my son. He’s promised to help me, so I’ll take him up on that.”

Michael Barrymore has been pipped at the post on his comeback thanks to non-celebrity Chantelle Houghton. Amazing, yet we all saw it coming, didn’t we?
Hard to believe that Chantelle could have been evicted two days after the show started, but was saved by Preston who thought he was the least famous person in the house.
Michael Barrymore Takes 2nd Place
Although he was emotional on leaving the house, Barrymore was much more in control than during his entrance! He denied playing to the cameras - as George suggested, and admitted that his time in the house was great therapy.
I’ve been in therapy eight times, but that was the best therapy I’ve ever had! You should consider charging.
Congratulations to Barrymore for being the celebrity runner-up. I’ll be watching to see what happens next in his career. Hopefully he won’t be releasing a single like most of the others…
Chantelle Takes The Crown
“She walked into the Big Brother house a complete unknown, but she’s coming out the star of the show.” So said Davina as the ecstatic Chantelle bounced down the Big Brother catwalk. Apparently she took 56% of the vote, winning by a complete landslide!!!
There could not have been a better winner for the show. No ego, no agenda and sometimes no clue, Chantelle was just pure fun! I’m sure the situation with Preston isn’t over yet - BB played the clip of Preston saying “If I didn’t have a girlfriend, I’d marry you” a little too much. There may still be a showdown!
Ah well, that’s it for this year. Consider it just a warm-up for Big Brother 7 in the summer!

Well tonight is the final night for Celebrity Big brother.
With 6 contestants left and non-celebrity Chantelle standing as the bookies favourtie to win it should prove an interesting night.
I am hoping against all hopes that Pete Burns is the next housemate to leave and that each and every member of the audience boos him as he does his walk to the studio. I also hope that the police are there to arrest Pete upon his eviction for owning and importing his monkey (formerely thought to be Gorilla) coat. There are many other awful things i wish upon this man but I won’t bore you with them now!
Anyway I’ll be avidly watching the show tonight as I guess will most of you, so join us back here after the show for a bit of discussion and air your views about who left. who won and what you thought of the show!

A group of Labour MPs led by Martin Salter, MP for Reading West are calling for George Galloway to be punished by the Queen as is laid out in an ancient law.
Waveguide states that anyone absenting themselves from Parliament can be “amerced” - arbitrarily punished - under the 1382 Summons to Parliament Act.
The anti-war Respect MP faces that threat if the Queen decided he has not “reasonably and honestly” excused himself.
So that is three of the current housemates that could be facing legal trouble when they leave the house. Pete for his Gorilla coat, Michael for the pool incident and now George for playing truant from parliament.
I wonder what criminal charges will face Maggot when he emerges….perhaps he could be charged with causing extreme boredom to the general public, or Chantelle could be charged for being much too blonde!
January 11th, 2006 by Lisa McGarry. Tags: Celebrity Big Brother, George Galloway, Jodie Marsh, Michael Barrymore, Pete Burns
I’m no fan of Jodie Marsh. I think she is a foul mouthed slapper who went in to convince people that she wasn’t a tart and has just proved every tabloid and journalist that has ever written about her right.
However I really feel that the housmeates in this years Celebrity Big Brother are taking things a step too far. If they spent more time as a group trying to build bridges and make Jodie feel more included in the group instead of bitching and complaining ever time her back is turned, the atmosphere in the house would be much more pleasant.
Sure the girl is annoying, but each thing she does is made ten times worse by the older members of the group poring over her every word and action. They are demonising her to the point that everything she says is taken as having some hidden meaning or point. To be fair to Jodie I don’t think she puts as much thought into what she says and does as they are giving her credit for.
Jodie was doing a good enough job of making the public hate her before George, Michael and Pete turned on her. All they are achieving now is winning her a sympathy vote from those who feel she is being victimised. For three and supposedly intelligent grown men of the world they are acting like a pack of bitchy 16 year old girls at the minute!

I’ve often watched the Big brother show and thought how much I would love to thump one of the housemates.
Never more so than after I watched Jodie making a fool of herself tonight. She wonders why the British public think she is a slapper…well thats an easy one! That would be because she talks and acts like a complete tart. Her language is filthy (and believe me I’m no old fuddy duddy!). She’s exactly the sort of girl that all the lads want to sleep with but no one wants to marry!
Anyway rant over. If you would like to pack George Galloway, Michael Barrymore or Jodie Marsh a punch then I reckon this website is the closest you are ever going to get.
Have a go, i know I enjoyed it!

In the Celebrity Big Brother diary room tonight Maggot revealed that he was a bit uncomfortable around ex comedian Michael Barrymore as he worried what the public would think if he was nice to him.
He also admittied to thinking that Barrymore is a bit of a sleaze who had been eyeing him up on a few occasions.
Realistically Maggot he would have to be seriously desperate to look at you in that way. When’s the last time you washed eh?

If like me you have been wondering who the people in Celebrity Big Brother are, and just why they are called celebrities, then have a look at this article in The Guardian. It has a great summary about each housemate and their road to fame!
