Michael has reporteldy chosen to leave so that he can concentrate fully on touring with his live stage shows.

His departure leaves only Amanda Holden on the judging panel since David Hasselhoff was axed last month.

A source said to be close to Michael reports that the star’s fee for judging on BGT isn’t enough to make him pull out of stage shows, which net him a good deal more.

Speaking to The Sun, the source said, “Michael has been weighing it up for a while as he does like the show and enjoyed being on the panel.

“But his first love is comedy and he wanted to embark on a tour and concentrate on that.”

And Michael told the paper, “I absolutely loved being a judge but have been itching to get back on stage myself.

“I wish the show and production team every success.”

The paper adds, “McIntyre’s departure will allow ITV to overhaul the show, which has gone off the boil with mediocre acts and humdrum winners.”

Michael McIntyre has admitted that tragedy in his early life, probably resulted in him choosing comedy as his future career.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge lost his dad, Ray Cameron, when he was a teenager, after the 53 year old died of a sudden heart attack.

Speaking on BBC Radio’s Desert Island Discs the 35 year old confessed:

“I genuinely think my comedy and the person I am is ­because of who I am and how I came about – and that does include, unfortunately, my dad not being around.

“It did push me further into an insular place, into my own world.

“I have managed to meet his friends and it’s great to hear from them and to hear them saying that he would have been proud of me.”

The comedian was last seen on our screens on ITV’s hit reality TV series ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ but will move to the BBC for the festive version of his ‘Comedy Roadshow’, which will be one of the channel’s highlights on Christmas day.

The TV funnyman judge said: “Having visited 12 of my favourite cities, I’m thrilled that my Comedy Roadshow is coming home for Christmas. It’s such an honour for the show to be on Christmas Day and to be introducing some of the biggest names in comedy to entertain a turkey-filled nation slumped on their sofas!”

Mark Linsey, Controller of Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC – added: “Who better to bring some Christmas cheer to BBC One viewers than Michael. He is such a favourite with our audiences and this show is bound to be a real festive treat.”

The judging panel for next year’s Britain’s Got Talent series has not yet been revealed and we ownder, with all the channel hopping Michael is doing at present, whether or not he will be asked back.

ITV tend to keep their stars on a pretty tight rein and they obviously haven’t signed the comedian into an exclusivity deal, as they did with Cheryl Cole and Adrian Chiles….

Michael McIntyre was particularly blown away by one act on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show.

The TV funnyman was wowed when freaky performance troupe Circus Of Horrors took to the stage and showcased their talents which included singing, contortion, sword swallowing and a woman swinging around the stage by her hair.

He was quick to give them a yes when the act ended and when it was his turn to comment on their audition, Michael raved:

That made for a real visual feast. I didn’t know where to look. It was spectacular, congratulations.

Michael’s fellow judges Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff also enjoyed the act and both said yes to sending Circus Of Horrors through to the next round.

It’s not the first TV appearance the group have made, they also appeared on an earlier series of Ant and Dec’s show Saturday Night Takeaway and were recently showcased on ITV’s Daybreak. You can watch their interview here.

Also, if you like the look of Circus Of Horrors and fancy joining the team, they were recently on the lookout for someone who would fit into a two foot by 16.5 inches bottle. The role, which was advertised in job centres around Brighton, pays £200 for around seven hours work a week.

Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff will show how different their tastes are on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show.

The pair just can’t seem to agree on any acts, starting with strongman bucket lifter John Evans and continuing through the audition of singing driving instructor Chris.

After the wannabe sings Billy Joel’s Just the way You Are, Michael mused:

“I was just wondering whether it’s a really good karaoke, where everybody says ‘you’re really amazing’ or whether you’re actually a good enough singer or whether you’re just really good at nailing that on karaoke night.”

David looked incredulous and asked:

What? So do you like him?

Michael replied:

Yes I liked him but do I like him enough?

The exasperated Baywatch star went on:

So, good on karaoke night or just good?

He added to Chris:

You did a fantastic job, much better than karaoke.

Back in the judges room the disagreement continued as David asked the TV funnyman:

Can you make your speeches at least a half an hour shorter?

Michael responded:

Oh yes, that’s fine. Or, you could not talk at all.

David hit back:

I’ve nothing to say after you, you take all my jokes.

And on it continued throughout the night…….we wonder how Amanda Holden put up with the two of them…..no wonder she sits in the middle!

A teenage band named New Bounce will be seen splitting the judging panel on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show.

The group consists of Mitchell, 16, James, 12, Kuan, 13 and MJ, 12 and before they perform in Manchester, their eldest member tells Ant and Dec:

“We started singing together and we thought it would be a good idea to make a band

James adds: “The dream is to be big stars, recording, on tours, number ones.”

However, their tryout starts on a bad foot when halfway through their rendition of Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are, Amanda stops the music and asks the boys: “Do you have another song?”

They then launch into a rendition of ‘All My Life’ by K-C and JoJo.

After they finish, David Hasselhoff praises the boys, saying:

“You, the lead singer, you were singing flat the whole time and the harmonies worked okay…when you came back with the last song, you guys were great.”

Amanda Holden adds:

“I didn’t think that you were that flat, you worked really, really well together and you can sing.”

However Michael McIntyre isn’t impressed…he muses:

“I agree with David…I did think when you were singing that first song it was flat, I felt it really was…in the second song it was better…”

The judges then cast their votes. Amanda wants to see New Bounce in the next round, but Michael definitely doesn’t. Who will the Hoff side with?

Nathan Wyburn, 21, made his TV debut on tonight’s Britain’s Got talent show, along with several slices of toast and Marmite.

The Fine Art student took to the stage in front of Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre and proceeded to assemble a portrait of the TV comic, using just the bread and spread.

It was an unusual but strangely engaging act and anyone could see McIntyre was chuffed to be the subject.

Afterwards he laughed:

“That’s brilliant.”

“I’m going to be honest with you. I have been saying that more acts should have my face in them and this is the kind of thing I’ve been hoping for. I thought it was very creative.”

“I would love you to be doing that at the Royal Variety Performance! I loved it.”

Amanda Holden added:

“You’re using two of my favourite things in my life. You either love it or hate it, I love it, well done.”

The Hoff asked a sensible question saying:

“What would you do if we brought you back, seriously?

Nathan replied:

“Basically I use anything you find in the house to create pieces of art. Fire, maybe soil, gardening materials, I’ll try anything.”

Chuuby boy Michael ruined the whole display though, by jumping on stage to steal a bit of the toast and causing the whole picture to collapse.

Luckily it no longer mattered to Nathan, they’d already given him his three yeses!

Michael McIntyre will find himself completely baffled on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show.

The TV comic is auditioning hopefuls in Birmingham when French dancer Michael and his translator emerge onto the stage.

The performer told Ant and Dec:

”My name is Michael, I am 21 years old. I would like to dance for the Queen of Britain.”

“In France, I watch Britain’s Got Talent on YouTube. I really hope the judges give me the chance to show Britain what I can do.”

Michael and his translator walk on to the stage, hoping his performance will lead to secure that spot at the Royal Variety Performance.

Michael asks their names and what they’ll be doing, to which the translator replies:

“Hi, I’m Claire; I’m just the translator, no performance from me!”

The comedian looks confused and asks:

“So you’re not in the act?”

Claire replies: “No.”

Michael turns to his namesake and asks: “Where are you from?”

And when he responds saying “France,” McIntyre shouts to Claire:

“Okay we don’t need you, it’s going fine!”

He then proceeds to speak in French and the conversation goes:

“Où habite tu?”

Michael: “I live in the South of France.”

Michael McIntyre: “Quel âge as-tu?”

Michael: “I am 21-years-old.”

Michael McIntyre: “Bon.”

Michael is then finally allowed to perform his routine and the audience respond very well.

Michael McIntyre settles into his new role

Michael McIntyre has admitted that he fully expects Simon Cowell to criticise the acts he, David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden chose in his absence.

Cowell did not attend the nationwide auditions for the ITV show but will return to the judging panel when the live semi finals start later this month.

Describing how he imagines the comeback will go, Michael told TV Times:

“Simon will have criticisms. There’ll be lots of footage of him in his sunglasses with his T-shirt a little bit tight, walking along a corridor saying, ‘They’ve ruined my show – who is this comedian? He said he was going to lose weight and look at the state of him!’”

McIntyre also admitted that it did take him a while to bed into his new role, confessing that he struggled to vocalise his own opinions on the acts.

“Coming up with your own opinion is hard,” he said. “When I go to see a movie I don’t really know if I enjoyed it, so I ask my wife and listen to people talking on the way out. If they all say it was magnificent I’ll agree!

“That’s what Simon is so good at – he just says exactly what he feels and you do end up waiting for his verdict. The last thing you want is for people not to care about what you have to say.”

Edward Reid brought something a bit different to Britain’s Got Talent on tonight’s show.

The camp drama teacher, who works with a pensioner group named the Nifty Fifties in Glasgow, said that performing on Britain’s Got Talent would change his life and added:

“If I got to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen, those five minutes in her presence would be amazing.”

He took to the stage to perform for Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre and we were expecting some sort of silly novelty act.

We were shocked then to hear the opening strains of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’, as covered by X factor winner Leona Lewis.

However, it all turned a bit silly once Ed started to sing. To the tune of the popular ballad, he added the lyrics of nursery rhymes like Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Humpty Dumpty. However, he injected emotion and feeling to his vocals, as if he was singing about something really quite heart-breaking. It was certainly a unique act if nothing else……

Afterwards, Michael said: “Ed, Edward Reid. Nobody saw that coming. I can definitely see you getting booked for Elton John’s child’s first birthday party.Thoroughly entertaining, thoroughly surprising, I didn’t think it would come in this form but Glasgow’s got talent.”

Amanda added: “I have a five year old daughter and we have all those nightmare cds at home I would definitely buy your album.”

David concluded: “Really creative, really funny, thank God for you!”
