Due to the popularity of the MySpace MTV presenter search, MTV are making a TV show about it called Pick Me MTV.

The guys at MySpace and MTV have been running a presenter search to find a new rising star to front the MTV news bulletins. They’ve had shed loads of audition videos - so many in fact that they’ve decided to make a TV show about the search. It’s called Pick Me MTV and will follow the fortunes of the lucky wannabes who have submitted a video and made it through to the televised auditions. Read more & comment »

Kerry Katona has been doing the TV rounds, promoting her new reality TV show, Kerry Katona, Crazy In Love.

Whilst appearing on Richard and Judy’s Channel 4 show, Kerry claimed to be the British Britney Spears.

She stated: “I’m the British Britney Spears, which is ridiculous. The press write what they want to write about me. Once they’ve built you up, they try to pull you down and they’ve been doing it for the last two years now.

“You show me one picture of me taking cocaine or coming out of a nightclub in the last two years. I’ve admitted taking it for about a year but look at Amy Winehouse, Pete Doherty and Kate Moss. They’re legends for it and I don’t do it anymore.”

I used to feel sorry for Kerry and the bad press she constantly received, but after watching the scenes below from her new MTV show, I have to say that I think she is her own worst enemy. In most of the clips she comes across as rough and harsh and barking mad. I can’t see this TV show doing her public persona any good at all. Read more & comment »

Tim Westwood is back in the driving seat, overseeing some of the biggest challenges the Carisma crew have faced yet.

The first episode of six, sees the Pimp team lending their talents to a worthy cause as they transform a group of elderly ladies’ rust encrusted mini bus into a luxurious coach cruiser complete with state of the art TV screens.

Further disasters the team encounter include one van aptly named ‘Toilet’ by its owner! Another pitiful vehicle is in such bad shape the exhaust is virtually non-existent and the dashboard has been removed.

Can Westwood and the Pimp team save these loveable old bangers from the scrapheap?

Naomi Campbell has managed to lose her last six personal assistants due to her temper tantrums. So now she has decided that the only way to get a new one is to do it through an MTV reality TV show!

A source said: “Naomi is famous for her spats with staff, so the idea is to try to have some fun and capitalize on the situation. Plus, it’s TV work, which Naomi hopes will lead to acting jobs.”

The sad thing is that it probably will work!

MTV Networks UK & Ireland today announced the return of its hugely successful car-makeover series, Pimp My Ride UK. Now in its 3rd run, the show will air on Sunday April 8th at 9.30pm with a Comic Relief Red Nose Day episode, entitled ‘Pimp My Red Nose Ride’, featuring Tim Westwood and some very special VIPs.

Comic Relief’s ‘Pimp My Red Nose Ride’ will feature an extra-special vehicle transformation that will provide the MTV mechanics with their biggest challenge to date. Lauren Conrad has admitted that breaking up with her boyfriend Jason Wahler, who co-starred with her in MTV’s Laguna Beach, was the hardest thing that she has ever done.

“Breaking up with Jason was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I still wanted to be with him but I knew that I couldn’t be.”

Lauren and Jason first split up while appearing on Laguna Beach after Jason cheated with another star of the show. After leaving the show and moving on to another MTV reality show ‘The Hills’ Lauren and jason got back together, but recently they split for what lauren is sure is the final time.

Lauren has now decided to focus purely on her career and was recently named the spokesperson for Avon’s mark brand: “I’ve been given an opportunity with Laguna Beach and The Hills, and my father – who is the smartest man I know – has advised me to capitalize on those opportunities,” she says. “So that’s what I’m trying to do – make contacts, get to know people. Hopefully that will help me as I start moving into my fashion career.”

And she already has some fashion tips for young women. “Sometimes I look at what really young girls wear and I can’t believe it – I have underwear that covers more than what some of them have on!

“I think it’s important that girls know that they can be attractive and sexy in a classy way and that guys actually like that more than when they see girls who show a lot of skin. For me, I like clothes and I like to wear them to cover up.”

She sounds like a nice role model……

‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera and his fiancee Missy Rothstein have agreed to let MTV make a TV show of the two of them planning for their wedding day. The series will culminate in the big day itself.

Bam told the New York Daily News newspaper: “When a celebrity and another celebrity try to make it work, it usually winds up in a divorce because they’re too busy doing their own thing.

“Not to mention their ‘thing’ consists of French kissing other people in movies. I don’t care if you’re an actor, people get jealous.

“Missy’s just a girl from Pennsylvania who has no desire to be an actor.”

Missy admitted to having last-minute reservations about the show.

She said: “It’s been quite an adjustment for me just because I’m a pretty private person.

“The night before the first day we started filming, I woke him and I said, ‘I can’t do this. I changed my mind.’ “
