MTV Networks UK & Ireland announced today that it has started production on a brand new reality series entitled ‘Geordie Shore’.
Inspired by the hit US phenomenon, Jersey Shore, MTV cameras will follow some of Newcastle’s finest lads and lasses, as we sneak a peek into their glamorous lives and party lifestyles.
From the city that gave us Cheryl Cole, Ant & Dec & Gazza, meet the real Angels Of The North as the girls strut their stuff in mini-skirts shorter than their belts, whilst the guys pump iron at the gym and drink more vodka shots than Newcastle Brown Ale.

Over the past 4 years “The Hills” revolutionised reality television and became a pop culture phenomenon. MTV will now redefine how the reality drama all ends in Season 6. The last 12 episodes EVER of “The Hills” will conclude like no other show before. How will it end? What will be revealed? Who will return? How will they say goodbye? “The Hills: Final Season”will premiere on MTV UK & Ireland in April 2010 and will be followed by a brand new series of “The City” .

Snooki, JWoww, Vinny, Angelina, Sammi, Pauly D, Ronnie and The Situation may not be names that you have heard of right now, but they soon will be! These eight self-confessed ‘Guido’ and ‘Guidettes’ are the stars of MTV’s latest reality series Jersey Shore and they promise to serve up some outrageously entertaining exploits during their summer living it up by the beach in New Jersey, NY. Expect tantrums, drama and outrageous behaviour by the bucket-load, as these tanned and buffed individuals hit the Jersey Shore for a summer you’ll never forget!

Kelly Osbourne has written messages on Twitter denying that she and fiancé Luke Worrall are to star in an MTV fly-on-the-wall series.
She wrote, “Luke and I are not doing a reality show for MTV!
“We only participated in 1 episode of their new series, In 24 hours”
She later added, “MTV has asked us on several occasions to do a new show for them, but we respectfully declined!”

The Sun is reporting that Kelly Osbourne is to star in her own reality TV show in which she and fiancé Luke Worrall take centre stage, although the rest of the Osbourne family will make appearances on the show.
It’s set to air on MTV and a source told the paper, “Kelly is TV gold. We’ve been wanting to do something with her for ages.

Finally MTV have seen sense and axed the rubbish reality TV show of Kerry Katona.
As Kerry’s ratings fell from a heady 500,000 to a paltry 19,000 viewers MTV decided that no more are people interested in the on off marriage of Kerry and Mark, or their medical/medicinal issues.
A show source told The Sun: “Viewers are finally fed up of Kerry’s antics. She had a good run, but there’s only so many ‘car crash’ TV scenes you can be bothered to watch.

Brooke Hogan returns to MTV in a new series of her hit reality TV show, Brooke Knows Best. As the daughter of legendary WWF wrestler, Hulk Hogan, Brooke has had a far from conventional upbringing.
The first series saw Brooke take her first steps towards being an independent woman. The second series of Brooke Knows Best follows Brooke as she finds her feet living in her posh Miami pad with her two best friends, Glenn and Ashley, whilst still pursuing superstardom as a musician.

It seems that Kerry Katona isn’t about to be re-invited to share every detail of her life with MTV viewers, prompting some press speculation that her recent bizarre behaviour hasn’t proven to be an audience puller.
Her MTV show, Kerry Katona: What’s The Problem? won’t be followed up any time soon, as was confirmed by an MTV source who told the Daily Star, “There are no plans to do anything more with her on MTV at the moment… Read more & comment »
