Myleene Klass and Katherine Jenkins are reportedly planning a new opera reality TV show.

The Daily Mail claims that the show will air on ITV1 and will see current popstars trained to become opera stars.

Klass will present the show, while Jenkins will be one of the judges.

“They are looking for a male host to present with Myleene and a male judge to sit on the panel with Katherine,” a source said. “The producers are very keen on having Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts on the panel.”

The insider continued: “It will be the panel’s job to train popstars to sing opera – and each week one of the hopefuls will be voted off.

“There’s a lot of excitement about having Myleene and Katherine on the same show. They are both big names and they can both be divas.”

Hot on the heels of her former bandmate, Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass has announced that she would love to land a judging role on X Factor.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Klass commented: “I can’t believe I missed the first X Factor show because I was at V Festival. I really love the show. Cheryl is my favourite judge, she’s fabulous, don’t you think?”

She added: “Simon Cowell is a good friend of mine. So who knows, maybe I’ll get to go on the show one day. I’d absolutely love to, it would be an honour.”

Meanwhile, an insider said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if Simon asked Myleene to join the show. He would love a harem of sexy ladies surrounding him, that’s just his style.”

Myleene Klass has revealed that since her recent move to LA, her one year old daughter Ava has gathered quite the celebrity following.

“Matt Damon, Ben Stiller, Leona Lewis and Angelina Jolie all love her and even Simon Cowell loves her enough to let her run around in his white-walled mansion in LA,” she told The Mirror.

“She’s been on P. Diddy’s yacht and I’ve got a picture of her boarding a private jet and walking up the steps.

“She’s met Enrique Iglesias three times and he talks to her in Spanish. And she sang ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ to Andrew Lloyd Webber.”

The 31-year-old also revealed that Ava had already travelled to 38 different countries since her birth.

Myleene Klass has reportedly been lined been lined up to host the American version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

A source told The Daily Mail: “She has been over there having meetings and met all the networks. She has been offered it but because she has got to go away for the whole month she has got to get out of her UK commitments.

“But everyone is hopeful that the people she works for will be understanding as it is a great opportunity. She doesn’t want to let anyone down.”

If Klass does land the role she would reportedly have to delay projects for Marks & Spencer, Classic FM, Channel 4 and CNN.

American Idol judge Randy Jackson took a shine to UK TV presenter Myleene Klass at a recent American Idol set visit. Not a surprise really, she one hell of a good looking lady!

An onlooker told The Sun: “Randy was smitten with Myleene.

“He told her she was gorgeous. Myleene was blushing like mad.

“She looked embarrassed by the attention and didn’t stay later for a drink.

“It seems a case of Randy by name, Randy by nature.”

Musician and TV presenter Myleene is no stranger to national talent searches, having beaten thousands of hopefuls to be a finalist in ITV1’s Popstars, going on to be a member of the band Hear’Say.

Myleene’s passion for music started early – she began playing the piano and the violin when she was four. She went on to study voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where she later graduated.

Since splitting from Hear’Say, Myleene changed direction in 2003 releasing Moving On, her debut solo classical album ,which went to No. 2 in the classical charts. In the last year, she has released two classical No.1 albums, Myleene’s Music for Romance and Myleene’s Music For Mothers. A versatile television presenter, Myleene’s credits include both BBC One’s The One Show and New Year Live, while her fame was cemented by her appearance in the 2006 series of ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

How did you get involved in the show?

Well, I’ve always been involved in choirs whether it was a school choir, church choir, teaching in it, being in it, singing in it, playing in it. And when they approached me to see if I’d like to get involved in a show about choirs, I just thought that it was going to be perfect.

What can viewers expect from Last Choir Standing?

I think that it’s quite deceiving because there are probably a few people who think “choirs, it’s not for me”. Some people have an idea that choirs can be dull and it really isn’t the case. I mean, I’ve heard really clever arrangements of The Killers or Arctic Monkeys and Take That – one gospel choir sang Take That and I was just so phenomenally impressed.

And there is a reason why choirs have lasted for years, because it’s quite fun singing as a group.

What are you looking for from the choirs taking part?

A variety, really, because I would like the stereotypes to be broken down – it isn’t all about altar boys and people wearing cassocks. It’s about more of a community feel, getting together with your friends and singing.

From what you’ve seen so far, what’s impressed you about the choirs which have auditioned?

The standard has been pretty phenomenal, it really has. And I think what I’ve liked is the arrangements. There are songs that you wouldn’t necessarily think a choir was going to tackle, and then someone comes out with an Annie Lennox piece or, like I said before, a Take That song. And you just think: “Wow!” this is for everybody, it’s for the masses, it’s not just for people who think they’re going to sing some Bach or a Mozart Requiem.

People are putting together brilliant arrangements and putting their own take on it – a few dance moves, they’ve made it fun. And I get the best job, really, because I don’t have to sit and judge, I get to sing with the choirs. When I got to sing with one choir it was fantastic – we were singing Pussycat Dolls and Abba’s Dancing Queen, it was just brilliant fun!

Have you got any advice for the choirs taking part?

I think the only advice is that sometimes some of the choirs that were technically excellent didn’t seem to have the enjoyment factor, it was like let’s try and hit every single note correctly that you almost forget why you’re singing. The whole point of singing is that it’s meant to be a way of expressing yourself. It’s first and foremost about communication and telling a story, and I think what’s been interesting for me is that people that didn’t necessarily sound so sharp on the tuning or maybe you just thought that technically they didn’t quite have the edge – yet because their story-telling was so good, and because the enjoyment factor was so high, they went straight through.

Are you glad to be returning back to your musical roots with the show?

I don’t think I’ve ever gone away from music. I presented the Classical Brits recently – before that I had another album out. I’ve even just been presenting a programme on festivals, a programme about world music and ska and things that I don’t really know much about, but I never close myself to different genres of music. One of the scariest things I’ve ever had to do was when I worked on a music programme and they sent me off to learn to rap. It was actually really entertaining and I still remember the rap because I practised it in the shower, I practised it everywhere.

All my work is around music, music is in my life every single day whether I’m playing the piano, singing nursery rhymes with Ava, presenting the Brits and now presenting this show.

Are you looking forward to working with Nick on the show?

I love working with Nick. God, the amount of women, every time I say I’m working with Nick Knowles, women swoon and men ask me what sort of hammer does he use for this, and what kind of drill does he use for that. So yes, I’m looking forward to working with him and asking his advice on shelves, which I know really annoys him but he’s wise about these things!

And he loves his music and he’s got a good sense of humour, so I think we’re going to have a good laugh together without a doubt. And he does dad dancing. A choir will start up and before you know it there’s Nick dad dancing in the corner!

Myleene Klass has been chosen by the BBC to front a new Saturday night reality TV show, The Last Choir Standing.

The show has been billed as “the biggest talent search ever seen on British TV” and will aim to find Britains Favourite Choir.

A show insider said: “Myleene’s perfect for the role, her classical music background is perfect. She was a great host on The One Show and the Beeb were determined to get her back.

“And she’s absolutely stunning – so there’s something for the dads in the audience too.”

In her new book My Bump & Me, Myleene Klass has revealed that her daughter Ava was conceived an hour after she left the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

In an extract in The Sun today she said: “Gray and I had just one hour to spend together from the time I left the jungle to when I had to start work again – and we were determined to use it properly.”

She revealed that Quinn had followed her into the shower while she was getting ready for a round of interviews, adding: “There were dozens of journalists and television executives milling about nearby but, as it had been almost two months since we’d spent any time together, we decided to seize our moment.

“Gray was not even supposed to be in Australia as he was due to be working on a band’s tour. I had missed him so much and was very emotional when I left the jungle thinking he wasn’t going to be there.

“But when all the filming was finished, I crossed that famous bridge and saw him. It was a real Mills & Boon moment. We went running into each other’s arms and Gray told me how much he had missed me and how he wanted us to get our act together and get married.”

Iwan gets caught short

While staking out Kylie’s flat with Yvette Fielding, Iwan got caught short and confessed to the former Blue Peter presenter: “I am gonna wet myself.” She had the perfect solution – a plastic drinks bottle!

Iwan took the bottle into their car and filled it up while Yvette piled on the pressure by taking pictures of him in action through the car window. Iwan proudly showed Yvette the half full bottle.

Ingrid Tarrant was supposed to be out shooting pictures for a feature on where celebrities shop.

Unfortunately the allure of the shops proved too much and she ended up spending £1400 on a handbag she had seen in a shop window.

Afterwards she said: “I bought the handbag but I swear on my life I have never ever spent so much on anything other than a car and a house. Now I am feeling really guilty because I have bought the handbag but I haven’t got the maintenance and I haven’t got the settlement either and I was twitchy about whether my card would go through…but you only live once!”

Iwan can’t get Kylie out of his head

When Kylie arrived after six hours a refreshed Iwan rushed up to bag a chat and photo. Love struck Iwan told her: “You are very, very beautiful in the flesh.”

After getting a photo with the pint sized Aussie star Iwan told Yvette: “She said I was cute, I can’t believe it.” He called the office and told an underwhelmed Darryn about his encounter.

Iwan still can’t get Kylie out of his head

After his brush with Kylie, Iwan couldn’t resist going back for more. Like a hardcore Kylie fan, he headed to her flat a second time – this time with a large bunch of flowers and a ‘love note’.

He handed them to the pop star, though later admitted to being a little disappointed with her reaction this time around, claming she was probably ‘tired’.

When Yvette teased him about wanting to get together with Kylie he said: “I should be so lucky” before adding: “I’ve got a girlfriend anyway.”

Imogen bags an exclusive chat with Myleene Klass

When Imogen Lloyd Webber asked Myleene Klass for an exclusive chat at a media event, the singer obliged and told her about how her pregnancy was going.

Myleene said that although she hadn’t been suffering from morning sickness, she was sick “in a very public place.”

She went on to say that the baby was due in September and that she was expecting a boy.

“Everyone is saying that because I want anything with salt in it, then it will be a boy.”

“I am craving anything really salty and really stodgy.

“It should be due around September time but no one in my family has had a baby on time,” she added.

I’m A Celebrity runner up and ex-Hearsay singer, Myleene Klass, has admitted today that she is pregnant.

Klass, 28, has said she will postpone her November wedding to fiance Graham Quinn, 30, until next year.

In a statement, Klass said: “Graham and I are ecstatically happy. We’ve always wanted a family of our own.

“I am truly delighted and know Graham will make a fantastic father.”
