Nanny 911: Nanny Stella visits James and Alice Hanley

Parents of America fear not – the Nanny 911 team is on its way back. Accompanying Nanny Lillian are three of the most headstrong childcare specialists in Britain, all of whom possess an immense amount of parenting wisdom.

In this week’s series finale, Nanny Stella visits James and Alice Hanley. The couple are calm and understanding family therapists, but when it comes to their own children they definitely struggle! While both parents strive to be disciplinarians, when a conflict arises, they fall apart.

Their eldest child Matthew complains his parents continually favour his sisters. Consequently, to attract their attention, he throws tantrums and even smashes objects against the wall. His hour long brawls with Dad only come to an end when Dad manages to sit on him.

Seven year old Stephanie believes she is in control of the household and no fight comes at too high a price to prove so. However, with her whining and noisy tantrums, the youngest daughter Cassandra, is the one who is really in charge. If Mum gives her food or clothes, count on Cassandra to reject them.

Nanny Stella teaches these parents to reinstall discipline and rescpect within their household and she also encourages Mum and Dad to give Matthew the attention he deserves.

Nanny 911: Nanny Stella visits the Kramer family

This week Nanny Stella visits the Kramer family from Iowa. Mum Jessica and dad Ted have four children - three sons, aged five, four and two and a baby girl. However, these parents do not know how to discipline their motley crew.

And without any discipline, the kids run wild. They leave the house without telling anyone, the family’s last car was ruined because the boys scratched the outside and drew all over the inside and the youngest son constantly plays with the plug sockets. Bedtime is just as chaotic as the parents drive their children around town to get them to fall asleep!

Nanny Stella informs these parents that their lack of discipline is jeopardising their children’s safety. Once they realise Stella is right, mum and dad finally master the timeout technique. The children begin to settle down and they also learn to sleep in their own beds.

Nanny 911: Nanny Yvonne Meets The Mills family

This week Nanny Yvonne meets the Mills family from Florida and parents Kenny and Jennifer may be Nanny 911’s craziest parents to date!

Whilst lazy dad Kenny watches TV, mum Jennifer brings him beers, rubs his feet and washes 40 loads of laundry. In exchange, Kenny throws dirty diapers at his wife and calls her a bimbo. Unfortunately, their children are beginning to imitate his behaviour.

Nine year old Matthew physically fights with his mum and dad never thinks to discipline him. Two year old Mason is on track to becoming just as aggressive. Meanwhile, the baby is left to crawl around the house unsupervised.

Dad greets Nanny Yvonne with a hostile scepticism, whilst Mum is only slightly more welcoming. However, throughout the week Jennifer learns to stop pampering her husband and consequently Kenny begins to properly father his children.

Nanny 911: Nanny Deb tackles The Brogdon Family

Parents of America fear not – the Nanny 911 team is on its way back. Head Nanny Lillian returns to the boisterous homes of America, for a fourth series of the top rated show. Accompanying her are three of the most headstrong childcare specialists in Britain, all of whom possess an immense amount of parenting wisdom.

Nanny Lillian has spent the past 25 years ironing out frazzled parents and their unruly children. Having worked for the British upper classes, she believes nannies should be mentors to their charges.

Nanny Deb is not far behind Lillian, with an impressive 22 years of experience under her belt. Deb believes inconsistency to be the key to misfit children.

Nanny Stella is a veteran of structure, although her softer side professes the importance of love. She uses her distinct sense of humour to diffuse situations, but is clear that she is not out to up her popularity.

Finally, Nanny Yvonne implores respect between children and their parents.

This week it is the turn of Nanny Deb to tame the tots of America. Dave and Angelia Brogdon have three year old triplets whose constant whining and winging must stop.

The triplets - Dave, Beth and Joe - hit, kick and bite anybody in their path. They are so averse to sharing that they have a tantrum if someone even touches their toys and the sibling rivalry does not stop there. When it comes to receiving their Mum’s attention, the triplets’ behaviour just gets worse.

Mum Angelia works a 40-hour week in addition to being a full-time mum. Constantly tired, she finds it easier to give into her children’s’ demands rather than discipline them. Consequently, the children do not listen to or respect their Mum. Meanwhile, Dad Dave is able to put the kids to bed in minutes; however it takes Mum hours and often reduces her to tears.

Nanny Deb teaches Mum how to discipline her kids and Deb teaches the children how to use and choose their words respectfully. After a chat with Nanny Deb, Dad and Mum join forces at bed time and Dad becomes much more supportive of Mum’s hard efforts. Most importantly, Nanny Deb shows Mum how she favours one of the triplets, but once Mum spends more time with her other children, everyone’s mood improves.
