Sir Alan Sugar’s right hand man, Nick Hewer has been sharing his thoughts on the shows latest reject, Debra Barr.

Hewer agreed with Sugar’s decision to fire Debra despite her obvious business skills, saying that she would be hard to ‘contain.’

“Debra comforted Lorraine as she was telling everyone how nervous she was,” he told The Mirror. “Would Debra’s arm around you comfort or terrify you?”

“The beautiful, lofty Debra,” he added. “And so it was with lips glossed she headed for the exit. Hats off to whoever can contain her.”

Sir Alan Sugar’s helper Nick Hewer has blasted Apprentice reject Howard Ebison for lacking in “courage and flair”.

“When I asked if he thought he was a ‘brave warrior’ his face betrayed, I thought, the realisation that he is, in fact, lacking in ambition and courage – something Sir Alan has in spades,” the former PR boss told The Mirror.

“He’s a decent young man but is destined for now to remain in middle management because he lacks that vital entrepreneurial flair.”

Sir Alan Sugar’s sidekick Nick Hewer has said that Debra Barr could have sold one of her expensive rocking horses on Wednesday night’s show had she applied some creative thinking.

Debra was trying to sell £2000 rocking horses at the London Baby Fair but failed to make a sale after she refused to knock £200 off the price.

Hewer told The Mirror: “What would have been wrong in saying: ‘Pay the full price because we can’t drop it, and we’ll give you £200 back from the money we got from the birthing pools?’

“That would have shown some creative thinking. And they would have won.”

Regarding Barr, Sir Alan’s assistant said: “She lacks emotional intelligence and always looks like she wants a fight. But I kind of admire her. She’s just a young woman with too much testosterone.”

Sir Alan Sugar’s sidekick Nick Hewer has said that The Apprentice boardroom is a terrifying place and that he never knows what Sugar will say or do when he gets there.

“I don’t think Sir Alan ever laughs in the boardroom – that is a deadly serious place actually – it really is, it’s awful,” Hewer told Metro.

“And he doesn’t tell Margaret or I who he’s going to fire so we’re in as much terror as the candidates.

“We might say to him ‘You’ve got to get rid of that blonde girl, or such and such a chap’, and he says, ‘Thank you for your help on that but I’ll do what I want to do’.”

Hewer went on to speculate on who might win the show saying:

“Who are my favourites? Woah – I’ve got to be very careful. There are some strong personalities.

“They develop over time. So for instance we may have seen Noorul have a bit of a beating up, but he may do very well. They come and they gain strength and some of them then disappear from view, so who knows?”
