The season eight “American Idol” top 25 finalist Norman Gentle, has released his debut single, dedicated to show judge Simon Cowell.

The up-tempo sing-along anthem “Brit Slap!”, features a cameo from “America’s Top Model” judge Nigel Barker a cast of Broadway dancers—and Cowell himself (okay, as a stand-up cardboard cutout)—which literally stopped traffic in Manhattan’s Times Square as thousands of passers-by joined in the tribute.

Nick Mitchell, who goes by his flamboyant alter ego Norman Gentle, 27, left the judges LAUGHING and almost SPEECHLESS at his performance on last night’s American idol (it airs tonight on ITV2). He also managed to wow the crowd with an over-the-top performance of “And I Am Telling You” from the Broadway and film hit “Dreamgirls.”
